We are non profit organization that provides comfort through companioning to individuals during terminal illness dignosis to the end of life and support to families during and following this time.

• Evaluate Regional Demand: Conduct a demographically and epidemiologically grounded analysis to determine whether the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) requires and can support a freestanding, 10-bed Hospice House in Cranbrook, BC.
• Provide Strategic Governance & Risk Guidance: Deliver a clear, evidence-based recommendation to the Board of Directors regarding capital construction timing, land acquisition logistics, and health authority negotiations.
• Enable External Capital Fundraising: Produce a professional, external-facing "Case for Support" and presentation collateral to assist in securing major donors, municipal support, and corporate partners for the $15M capital campaign.
• Develop Capital & Operational Pro Formas: Model hyper-local construction parameters (including local land economics, regional location factors, and municipal tax tariffs) alongside a sustainable $1.60M annual operating budget.
• Establish Governance Frameworks: Draft a formal Terms of Reference (ToR) for the 10-member Hospice House Steering Committee and create a specialized Health Human Resources (HHR) staffing strategy.

4. Post-retirement population is modeled to expand by 147% . The 85+ cohort is projected to neearly triple form 1500 to 4330 over the same period 

Demographic & Epidemiological Rigor: Successfully establish 20-year cohort projections (2026–2046 modeling a 147% growth in the 75+ age group) and mortality profiles (894 annual regional deaths) to counter restrictive health authority bed allocation formulas.

Hyper-Local Financial Accuracy: Accurately quantify previously unmodeled capital liabilities, specifically the $470,700 City of Cranbrook Institutional Development Cost Charge (DCC) tariff and the 1.326 regional construction Location Factor.

Actionable Board Roadmap: Deliver a clear, Three-Path Strategic Sensitivity Model recommending "Proceed with Caution" (Path 2) to protect existing capital reserves ($1M+) until securing a 65% ($1.04M/yr) operational funding commitment from Interior Health.

Their scope of work heavily supports our internal team and includes: Providing general website maintenance and routinely reviewing and correcting broken links. Updating board member profiles and making basic content edits and additions to the website. Assisting our member services coordinator as needed in adding new members to appropriate sections of the intranet.
