We have three project leaders, one for the site, one for digital/ analytics and one for social. All have been super responsive and dedicated to us.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We have just launched our business and all that have gone on the site have complimented it and the design and flow of it. The traffic on the site has dramatically increased since they have done marketing activities.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had weekly call and daily emails and all was very efficient. All our concerns were heard right away.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their dedication regardless of night or day or time we can always be heard and a solution is found.

I think all was executed impeccably and i have no need to complain about anything.

We have the ability to meet our goals and deadlines of each tasks with them. They understand the platform and delivery of alternative solutions for us to decide. So we have had to meet our business goal with the help.

Quick response every day, we don't have to wait for the reply email and no need to follow any task.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have a nice team, made of experts in the field. The project manager is very easy to work with. Make our task list seem smaller and not a big deal. they make it all easy for us. I love that they role the remaining hrs of the month to next month with very repressive. No other companies I know doing this.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would suggest for them to offer to us about what we should be improved, what we should be done better and suggestions compare to our competitor, not only get task requests for us. They are more expert than us, it was nice if they tell us what it should be. But overall we are happy with Absolute Web Service.

One of our companies' websites (M1) had not had dedicated maintenance / support for some time, and was in need of security patches and various improvements to enhance functionality and usability for our global customer base to carry through an M2 migration / re-build.

Address security needs and make improvements that would have an immediate impact for our markets in Asia in particular. An additional objective included preparation for a re-build.

We spoke with several, and selected Absolute Web for their clear breadth of knowledge, high proficiency, accessibility and understanding of global commerce.

AWS has made several suggestions that will be applied to the M2 migration/re-build, and we're confident will have a significant impact on our client support and sales.

AWS took the lead in conducting a review of the site to determine priorities related to security and specific objectives. We have additionally worked through a number of projects to improve navigation / appearance, UX/UI, contact management, etc.

Our Project Manager is our primary contact, who interfaces with the rest of the AWS team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Fixes have had a positive impact on sales, and our client support workflows have improved markedly. We've successfully launched two technically complex products, with high user engagement / interest.

We have been extremely impressed / pleased. Projects have been handled quickly and professionally, and we receive prompt attention and updates.

I am the senior e-commerce manager at HaloCigs, a manufacturer of e-liquid and CBD products. We sell both B2B wholesale products and B2C products. At the moment, we have five websites running, and I run all of our web-based operations within the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web Services?

One of our main B2C sites was built on an old version of Magento 1 and was operating off of five years of code placed on top of code. It ran incredibly slow, so we wanted to clean up all of our code and also migrate to Magento 2. We wanted to combine that site and another site into one backend as well as completely redo the frontend of the site to maximize speed and usability for customers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Absolute Web Services merged the backends for our two sites on Magento 2 and redesigned the frontend. We handed the backend of both sites so that they had full transparency of what they were walking into. We also gave them a wish list of what we wanted as far as functionality on the frontend. They developed a plan of how they wanted to do everything in accordance with the aggressive timeline we proposed. 

Their team migrated the site to a new platform but also replaced existing programs with newer versions and rewrote custom code. We had to have every existing extension upgraded to a version that would work on the new platform. The situation required a seamless transition from the old site to the new one. Absolute Web Services is managing our other sites as well and is responsible for other development projects on those sites.

What is the team composition?

Roman (Founder & CEO, Absolute Web Services) was integral in the beginning stages of our project. He helped map everything out and set expectations. We also worked closely with Kyle (E-CommerceProject Manager, Absolute Web Services) who was our day-to-day contact. They have a very large development team but we primarily interacted with Roman and Kyle.

How did you come to work with Absolute Web Services?

We went through the vetting process with a couple of agencies and ending up selecting Absolute Web Services. They had prior experience migrating from Magento 1 to Magento 2 and combining backends. They were also able to meet our aggressive timeline.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested about $90,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Absolute Web Services ran from June 2019–September 2019, when the website launched.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The responsiveness of our site was previously 18 seconds and now it's down to two and a half. That’s a huge improvement for us. Our conversion rates have also gone up. Previously, our site was not mobile optimized and now it is. As a result, our mobile conversion rates have doubled. Everything is doing great so far and everyone loves us now.

How did Absolute Web Services perform from a project management standpoint?

We have so many sites going on that there was a lot that had to get done on my end and they made sure we were up to date and knew when deliverables were due on our side. Anytime we ran into an issue and needed assistance, Absolute Web Services would reach out to us to make sure we could get them what they needed.

I dealt with them on a daily basis and they were responsive at all hours. Our teams communicate over phone, email, Slack, and even in person when necessary. We had weekly, if not bi-weekly, calls with Kyle to go over the work being done. He would give us all of the deliverables and was a huge help in making sure we knew where the project was at all times. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked on a lot of projects, and response time can really make or break an engagement. Absolute Web Services responded to my questions in minutes, any time of day. That was a huge help. It really made me feel better about everything.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing negative stands out to me. There are little things here and there in every project, but nothing that would make me want to tell them to change what they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent upfront about everything that the project entails. Set your expectations early on. If you expect the world, you need to ask for the world. They can deliver if you’re clear on what you want.

Vohra Physicians is the countries leading Wound Care Management organization with 250 Physicians and 2500 facilities across the United States. We specialize in the treatment of Senior Nursing Home Patients and see over 1 million people per year. As Digital Platform Owner it is my responsibility to maintain everything digital that is public facing including items such as recruiting lead-gen, enrollment of new facilities, and registrations of Vohra Certification participants.

We needed a CMS platform (Wordpress) that we could leverage to interact with our backend systems in a way that we never could before. We wanted to standardize all of our code using the Word Press codebase and be able to outsource work when needed.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to migrate from an old legacy system that only one individual could update, into a modern day CMS platform (Wordpress) that could have multiple people working on it from different perspectives. At the same time we wanted to do it in a way that we could begin integration of our backend systems with it through our API.

Absolute was selected through our rigorous interviewing process.

Absolute provided Wordpress Development along with Laravel integration. They provided all the design, code, and project management of the website deployment process.

What was the team composition?

We worked with Georgiy (their main architect) to get the project completed through the finish line. He is highly capable and a very focused individual.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our company is now positioned (with few more tweaks and upgrades) to grow organically and deploy content at an astronomical rate (compared to our previous website). We had a very tight timeline to hit and presented Absolute with what was essentially a no win situation. They were up to the task and performed marvelously, delivering the project relatively within timeline. Given the complexity of the situation (not the problem or the code) they're pragmatic approach to hit our deadline was very good.

Consequently we have been able to continue to refine and manage through their work and have now absorbed the work internally. Without Absolutes diligence we would not have been able to hit the tight deadline that our team was given. They went above and beyond in the process and brought the project to completion.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

By the time I came into the project we were on the final stints of deployment. It was my understanding that the project management tasks were distributed between Vohra Physicians and Absolute.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Given the muck they were given, the timeline set in front of them, and the price point at which we engaged (and given the point in time in which I arrived) - I think that Absolute did a fantastic job problem solving in order to meet this very tough deadline. Had I been consulting on this project from the get-go I probably would not have agreed with the strict deadline. They accomplished the SOW though and did it with very minor clean up items left. This shows the true capabilities of Absolute as an agency to take to task and get the job done.

Are there any areas for improvement?

My only suggestion would be to have a visual road map in place that the customer can see. I know they must have a project tracking system, but it was not offered up to me to log into. We setup JIRA consequently and they did a stellar job of moving items through the established process we set - even joining our weekly Dev calls to provide feedback.

What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web Services?

When I first approached Absolute Web Services a few years ago, my site was pretty old and had no design at all. They completely overhauled the site from the ground up on WordPress before returning to develop our e-commerce store.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We re-engaged Absolute Web Services to develop our online store using WooCommerce. Since they’d already designed our main site, it was easy for them to recreate the same colors and vibe. They set up the payments, established the UPS (United Postal Service) connection, and photographed and uploaded about 50 items into the platform.

What is the team composition? 

I worked with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Absolute Web Services?

We’d worked with them for the last project, so it was an obvious choice to use them again for this one. 

How much have you invested with them?

The original site cost around $6,000, and I paid roughly $7,500 for the second phase.

What is the status of this engagement?

They built the store in about two months, from the last week of April–July 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve just launched the store, so I don’t have any hard metrics at the moment. I do get a lot of customer feedback, though. People will call to tell me that I have a great site, which is proof that Absolute Web Services did a fine job with it.

How did Absolute Web Services perform from a project management standpoint?

They assigned an excellent project manager. We typically communicated over email or phone, but I also met them in person since they weren’t too far from me.

In terms of project management tools, they used InVision to send me interactive previews and layouts. I’d then tell them which ones I liked and make edits. Sometimes, they would send a YouTube tutorial going through all of the pages that they’d developed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s really their customer service. Ever since the first time I met them, I always felt that they were a legitimate company. The team was great, too. They went out of their way to fix things that I hadn’t noticed before, even if I didn’t tell them to do it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints. I could be pretty picky about edits at times, but they were always more than happy to make changes for me. They really went the extra mile.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just go with them. If I have another company and need a website, I’m sure to come back to Absolute Web Services again.

Absolute Web Services has been with us since the beginning. We came up with a plan to build our site, describing all of the features we wanted, and they built it on WordPress. Customers now use the site to requests transportation quotes. 

Over the years, they’ve continued to add on to the site as we’ve grown, from new pages and visual updates to various plug-ins and functionality improvements that make it easier for customers to use the site.

What is the team composition? 

We used to work with Sergio (Digital Solutions Manager, Absolute Web Services) but are now with Kyle (E-Commerce Project Manager, Absolute Web Services). Kyle typically takes care of any questions that I might have. I run everything by him, and he makes a plan before setting it up with the rest of the team to execute.

They're very competitive in terms of rate. We’ve spent between $10,000–$20,000 so far.

We started working with them in the summer of 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

Before we worked with Absolute Web Services, a different company had built our previous site, which was a completely different experience. Compared to that, Absolute Web Services’ new site has greatly increased our customer engagement and the number of incoming quotes. It’s because of the functionality—everything is just user-friendly, now.

We wanted to eliminate an outdated version of the site and shopping cart so that we could start with a fresh installation that could receive ongoing frontend and backend updates.

We reviewed a few vendors based on recommendations we found on the WooCommerce website. Based on Absolute Web Services’ specialization in shopping carts, we believed they could not only provide us a great redesign but ongoing development and support as well. We ultimately chose them based on their ability to provide ongoing support.

They did custom UI/UX design and they set up and implemented our development server environment. They configured our online store, did content management and implementation, provided technical SEO, and optimized our website speed.

We worked with an account manager, project manager, and developers. The overall size did not change, but some of the members changed depending on what was being worked on.

Our business has more than doubled in size, and we wouldn't have been able to support this volume of business with our previous site. We’ve also seen our load time cut in half since the redesign and speed enhancements. And most importantly, we can make changes on an ongoing basis. Without the new design, supporting our business growth would have been impossible.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We were assigned a project manager, who has been excellent from the start. The project manager proved extremely helpful during brainstorming and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We use a combination of Dropbox Paper for outlining projects and tasks and Slack for real-time questions and updates, along with email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their communication style made a difference. We’ve dealt with vendors who were hard to get a hold of, especially after we’d paid them. Absolute Web Services is always responsive. We rarely even talk because our process with documenting tasks and communicating via Slack is so effective.

Are there any areas for improvement?

If I were to pick on something relatively minor, it would be naming conventions, but that's because I'm a nerd. It’s superficial and hasn't caused us any issues.

We were hired to help redesign and migrate a client’s website to Magento 2 from CS-Cart.

We wanted to streamline the contract customer website ordering process for the client. The challenge was making sure bulk corporate buyers and independent customers would receive the best pricing and ordering experience while minimizing the time to complete their orders.

Together we reworked how the pricing fee would come from the client's ERP system. They also added additional customer groups and segments.
