The main goal of the project was to redesign the UI/UX of the old website to have a better shopping experience overall, especially on mobile devices. Because the store has several hundred thousand SKUs (sometimes more than 1 million SKUs), we needed a powerful search solution and we based it around Searchspring.
Some custom features and functionalities developed are Product Wishlist with the ability share a link without being logged in, Collection Pages based on Searchspring, Ajax “Add to Cart” and “Cart Quantity Update”.

Web Dev, Design & Photography for Beauty Company
"We had a great team dynamic, so I didn’t feel that Absolute tried to nickel and dime me."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Diamond Beauty Company. We offer an advanced at-home teeth whitening kit and will expand to offer other beauty-related products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
We hired them for web development and marketing services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Absolute built a themed website. They initially provided a couple of options and then I chose one of them. Their team then built the website from scratch, and we went back and forth throughout the development. They photographed our products and managed the photography process, hiring models and finding locations. Their team also set up basic email workflows through Klaviyo and installed pixels, so Google and Facebook.
What is the team composition?
I directly interfaced with three people from Absolute but I know there were quite a few more teammates behind the scenes. I communicated with a project manager, a content manager, and a marketing analyst. There was also a developer behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
I searched online and interviewed five other companies but chose Absolute based on their honesty. Their team was upfront about costs, potential hidden costs, and any issues. Hannah (Creative Brand Manager) made me feel comfortable compared to the other vendors, and Absolute had a team that was capable of website development and marketing.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $15,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project with them in October 2020, and it was handed to me in January 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They hit their initial timeline but thought they would finish sooner. As they didn’t complete it early, they added a free page to the website because it was needed. Absolute also hit the budget and never added fees.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly communicated through email. If we needed to speak more in-depth, we set up a meeting and talked it out. They were always available for phone calls. Their project manager was top notch. We had excellent communication and any issues I had, they found solutions and presented them to me to decide what I wanted to do. They also made helpful recommendations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I felt that Absolute was on my team. We had a great team dynamic, so I didn’t feel that Absolute tried to nickel and dime me. Their team was realistic about costs and answered all of my marketing questions with conservative recommendations for ad spend. They saw my vision and solved my issues.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of any ways Absolute could’ve improved.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be more direct with communication. If you have a vision, thoroughly explain it. For example, I expected their copywriter to know my thoughts based on bullet points. I would rewrite the content and send it back to them because as with anything, it's up for interpretation. Be more hands-on with copywriting.

Shopify Dev for Food Manufacturer & Distributor
"Absolute Web was very successful in tackling our project and doing it in a very timely manner."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the EVP of Ideal Nutrition. We’re a fast-growing manufacturing and food distribution company. I help run the growth expansion of the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
Our owner had created a very small website on Weebly. It did pretty well for a couple of orders coming in a week, and then as we continued to grow, we had a system that had 4–5 different platforms that did not communicate with each other.
When people would navigate to our website and place an order, the actual order was placed on a form, and that would tell us the order, but the payment processing was coming through PayPal and Square.
We had to manually check every single order to make sure that the payment matched the corresponding customer name, and that the customer actually placed an order for 10 meals, for example, and paid for 10 meals.
Ultimately, it didn’t work and, as we got bigger, we were running into failures because people make mistakes. We hired Absolute Web to help us to scale. We wanted to be able to have orders come in and go out, and we wanted to improve all of the communication with the customer as well.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We decided on the platform and Shopify seemed to be the most comprehensive for us because we have subscriptions and one-time orders. We sat down with Absolute Web and hashed out all of our needs and all of our wants and came up with a strategic plan and a timeline.
What is the team composition?
We dealt with three people, including a project manager and coders. We spoke to the owner of the company a few times when we initially started to discuss the project, but our project manager was the main person we dealt with.
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
We started trying to find someone who could create an e-commerce website for us that would automate some of the processes that we were manually doing. I hired two different companies that were local to us over the course of two and a half years, but that didn’t work out.
I came across Absolute Web on a site that listed top digital companies in South Florida. When I clicked on it, it showed some of their most recent projects including one that we really liked. We reached out to them and ran through the scope of what we needed.
What really set them apart from everyone else we interviewed was the fact that they had already created an e-commerce platform similar to what we needed. Although they weren’t the cheapest, they told us that they were able to do it, had done something like this in the past, and would adhere to the strict timeline.
How much have you invested in them?
For our first phase, we invested just under $75,000. Along the way there were some things that they said were not included in the original agreement, so we made some additional payments which was probably another $15,000.
We are also paying a monthly fee for regular services. It is 30 hours a month, which we can use at our will whether to revamp a particular page or adding another feature.
What is the status of this engagement?
We met with them in August 2020. They told us it would take roughly 16 weeks, but there were some hiccups that pushed it back a little bit. They wound up accomplishing everything that we needed by December 2020.
That was the first phase. We are continuing a partnership with them, and we pay them a monthly fee to have them continue to work on our site and continue with setting out the next couple of phases of things that we want.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They were very qualified, and they handled themselves very professionally. They delivered on just about everything that they said they would. For the few things that were just not doable, they were able to give us a workaround that felt comfortable.
We have seen an uptick in sales, but it is difficult to equate it to the website and not just the normal course of doing business for us with the time of year when everyone starts eating well.
The ordering process is significantly easier for customers and we have had a lot of positive feedback. People calling the 1-800 number might still be confused about some things but the resolution for what they need is a lot quicker and smoother.
Our trajectory has not changed because of the website. However, we know that we will retain new customers because of the ease and functionality of the site. We used to need 6–7 people every day of the week to do the work, but that’s now down to two people.
Even on Fridays, which are our deadline days, I only need one person at night. The website works better and smoother, and we’re able to put some people into other roles to help expand our company. We’re able to allocate time and people to do other things.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
Absolute Web did their own testing, and they had very good lines of communication with us, not necessarily only phone calls. Overall, I was very satisfied. We spent a lot of money, but because of the level of comfort and the track record we were able to see for what they had been doing for other people, it made it worthwhile.
The team did a very good job of explaining to us what they were going to be able to do. They were always very accessible and on Friday nights, when we needed them to work past their normal business hours, they gave us one of their coders who was accessible until 1 a.m.
That way if something catastrophic happened, we weren’t making a million calls waiting for someone to call us back. We had someone ready and waiting to assist us. They did a very thorough job. We would do a conference call once a week, which was very important to me.
We would also do video screen shares where they would see the things that I was encountering. Absolute Web was very successful in tackling our project and doing it in a very timely manner. They communicated what they thought they could do and couldn’t do.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Not only were they able to build the website and test the functionality, but they were also a liaison between us and some of the other absent features that we needed. They assisted us in figuring out what was going to be the best payment processor.
They helped us choose Shopify and Stripe. I still had to negotiate with them and figure out who was going to be the best price, but we weren’t left to figure that out on our own. They gave us advice and their perspective. They helped us make decisions instead of simply telling us our choices.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing jumps to mind right away. Absolute Web did an effective job. Of course, we would’ve liked to have had a more affordable option, but they gave us a really fair balance of fast delivery and good quality.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a vision and stand by it very strongly. Make sure that as the client, you have the right words and ways to express and convey what your message needs to be, not only to the customer but to the company that is building your platform for you.
There are some things that we thought were really good ideas, and Absolute Web was able to explain to us that it wasn’t the norm for what we do and that many other companies that do what we do, do it a different way. They showed us why or how that was, and we were able to change that.
The team allowed us to do what we thought was best. They gave us a cautionary tale from time to time, but I think it’s really important to stand by your own morals and stand by what you think is important for your business model.

Full Stack Magento Dev for Retail Company
"Not a lot of companies care as much as Absolute Web does."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of development for a family-owned retail company called Lebo’s. We sell different wears and shoes at our seven locations and online.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
Our online presence was behind the times, and we wanted to correct it. Our conversion rate and bounce rate were poor. A program showed that the website’s search, checkout, and overall layout were problems. We needed to address those issues with frontend development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Absolute Web previously worked on the front- and backend of our Magento platform. In this instance, their team completely redesigned the frontend of our website to be more user-friendly and hit key bounce rate and conversion rate goals. The goal was to make our website more profitable and more efficient. Their team explained the project and helped show us areas where we could improve the website’s efficiency and revenue-generating abilities.
What is the team composition?
We directly dealt with Kyle (Principal Data Engineer) and Roman (CEO). However, several people worked on the project. Our main contact did a lot of the backend work that needed to be done.
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
As Absolute Web knew our front- and backend, we felt confident using their services again. We had scoped it out with other companies but decided to use them.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested $60,000 in their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together between November 2019–March 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project was successful. Our revenue increased by about 400%, and our conversion rate increased by 200%. Our bounce rate also came down about 10%.
The checkout process that Absolute Web built is more mainstream. Before this project, there were too many steps between point A to point B. Their team cut a lot of those steps, making the checkout process quicker. Once a user decides to purchase an item, they can complete the purchase in two rather than five steps. We’ll probably do more projects with them in the future.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
Absolute Web hit the March deadline that their team set at the beginning of the project. They gave us mockups of their progress. Based on experiences with past providers, it isn’t always the case that a vendor hits their deadline. Absolute Web was the first vendor that actually completed a project on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Absolute Web truly cared about the success of our website. During and after the project, they constantly touched base with us. After the project was done, their team wanted to make sure it was successful for us. Not a lot of companies care as much as Absolute Web does. Their communication was great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we were really happy with the project. I can’t think of any way that we could be happier.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a great company. If you have a Magento website, it’s tough to deal with on the backend. They have people who can do both back- and frontend development. It makes it so much easier to find your solution all in one place.

Magento & Vue Storefront Dev for Cannabis Delivery Co
"What distinguishes them from their competition is their flexibility and willingness to experiment."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Amuse. We’re a cannabis delivery company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
We needed help to complement our internal team and launch our website because we chose a tech stack that wasn’t straightforward.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Absolute Web helped us design a solution, creating specifications for building the website. Their team then executed the solution alongside our team. For the project, we used Magento 2 and Vue Storefront as a headless e-commerce system to give us a modern website.
In addition to typical e-commerce categories, they helped us build custom features specific to our industry. These features included ID verification, online payments like ACH, and location-based delivery scheduling.
What is the team composition?
On average, we work with three people from Absolute Web. However, we've increased the team to 5–6 at some points.
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
I researched agencies in the space and gathered recommendations from our account managers at Magento. I interviewed 3–4 agencies and chose Absolute Web because they understood our vision. A lot of the other agencies wanted to put us into a box with their process. We needed a partner that would figure out the project with us.
How much have you invested with them?
At the moment, we’ve spent about $450,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began our partnership in April 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We couldn’t have launched the website in early August without Absolute Web. If we didn’t have them on our team, we would’ve faced a November launch.
They have a huge awareness of tools in the ecosystem that could help us build features without custom development. Their team also recommends fresh approaches to tasks.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was fairly strong. Their technical lead joins all of our standups, all hands, and backlog grooming meetings. We use Slack a lot but also have a check-in via Zoom every day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes them from their competition is their flexibility and willingness to experiment. We wanted to accomplish a project that no other agency wanted to do without all of the warnings that it might not succeed. Absolute Web acknowledged that the project would be difficult but that we would figure it out together. They’re experts in the space.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Although their technical lead played a project manager role, we could both benefit from having someone dedicated to that role. It would be interesting for them to have a dedicated project management resource on their side when the team reaches a certain number of resources.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Absolute Web is fully capable of working with a client that knows exactly what they want. We, however, appreciated their thought partnership. If you’re facing a gnarly problem, they’ll be a great asset to have on your side.

Shopify Plus Design & Dev for Online Retailer
"It feels like Absolute cares about our business as much as us."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president and co-founder of BHFO, Inc. We’re an internet retailer of clothes, shoes, and accessories.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
When we found Absolute, our goal was to redesign and rebuild our Shopify Plus website within a short timeframe.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team transitioned us from a theme-designed, slow website with minimal functionality to a custom website on the Shopify platform. The Absolute team worked with about 4–5 members of our team to launch the website within a two-month timeframe, which allowed us to meet this year’s holiday shopping season. After our site was live, they started to help us with our social and email campaigns.
What is the team composition?
Sergio (COO & Ecommerce Specialist) was our main point of contact, and he directly worked with 4–5 members of our team. On the marketing side, we worked with Matthew (Digital Marketing Specialist).
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
I found Absolute Web through online searches for website design companies and initially hired them for a website accessibility project about a year ago. During that project, I worked with Sergio who was able to take it from start to finish. For this project, we looked at three different companies but felt that Absolute was the needle in the haystack.
How much have you invested with them?
The web development project cost about $38,000. The social media and email marketing campaigns cost about $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
They started around the end of August, and we went live in November 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We launched exactly on time and were able to hit Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We had record results this year. We’ve experienced a 200% lift since launching the website. We’ve also received great feedback. Our business partners and vendors saw the website once it was done, and we only heard grand reviews.
Their team was always a step ahead. We never had to wait on them for anything. We asked them to be available 24/7 to make sure that we hit the deadline, and Absolute did just that. In fact, I emailed them a couple of times to tell them to sleep.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Microsoft Teams during this project because we were familiar with the product. Their team conformed to our technologies. They feel like a member of our team.
Absolute owned the project for us. We’re amazed by their communication and responsiveness. Their team includes the best project manager that we’ve worked with throughout our 17 years in business.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re comfortable with them like they’re members of our own team. It feels like Absolute cares about our business as much as us. We never have to worry about any step of a project that involves them. When they take on a project, I know that they’ll get it done.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not to my knowledge.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust in their ability to understand and achieve your vision. Their team will be able to help you reach your goals without you having to lead them to it.

E-Commerce Dev for Pet Food Company
"They were able to accomplish building a website that we envisioned."

the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
My name is Alice and I am the Business Development Manager at a pet food company based in Miami, Florida.
For what projects/services did your company hire Absolute Web, and what were your goals?
We hired Absolute Web to re-do our website. Our old website was on Magento and it was outdated and not user friendly. Our goal was to create a Shopify site that gave our brand a premium, natural, and scientific look and feel. We wanted our customers to easily learn about our brand and shop for products.
How did you select Absolute Web and what were the deciding factors?
We found out about Absolute Web by searching on Google for website agencies. The deciding factor was the experience the team conveyed and their professionalism. We liked that the agencies main focus was building websites/ecommerce stores and they had a large portfolio to showcase their experience.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The objective was to make a brand new Shopify store. Absolute Web had to design the new website, transfer the content/users/orders, integrate a subscription service, and configure redirects to ensure SEO was maintained.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had direct contact with Slava Fattakhov, which was the project manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We really liked how the new website came out. We believe it completely revamped our brand and helped position us for the growing ecommerce trend. We have received very positive feedback from customers about the usability and design. The first month we launched our new website will be the best sales we have accomplished so far, which is around 3x higher than our previous average.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
I truly enjoyed working with Slava. He was very professional, had a lot of patience, was very knowledgeable, and did everything possible to make sure we were happy with the outcome. Slava has great communication skills and met timelines as accorded. I recommend working with Slava and Absolute Web to my friends.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive aspect about the company is their knowledge about building ecommerce websites across a variety of platforms. They always demonstrated a sense of security and experience for all my inquiries. They were able to accomplish building a website that we envisioned.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The one area of improvement would be for them to recommend me what tools/apps I should use in Shopify to increase our sales. I do not have much experience working on ecommerce so it would have been great if they recommended a series of apps that I should install to be able to analyze insights and increase sales.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a designer and manufacturer of sex toys for female couples.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
The full scope of work was to migrate our site from another platform to Magento.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Absolute Web built a new website. They migrated everything from our old platform to Magento, including customers, products, and our database. I handled the design.
What is the team composition?
I had a main point of contact, but I think there were several people behind them.
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
I believe I found Absolute Web through Clutch. I was looking for an agency in Miami, as I’m moving there. I think I compared agencies by looking at reviews on Clutch. I didn’t realize at the time that each review came from interviews with an agency’s clients.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost was about $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work together began in March 2020, and they finished the migration on the first of September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our point of contact was really well organized. We were able to reach him easily, and he was responsive. He never forgot anything. He was very effective in his work. When you’re looking to work with someone, such as to build a new website, it’s important to have a key contact who responds to you quickly so that you can keep going.
We just launched, so I don’t have enough feedback or metrics to compare things. However, I will say that the website has a much better UX than our previous one.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
They did perfectly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The management was perfect. They took all of our requirements into consideration.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m not a coder, so I don’t feel as though I can judge how they scripted. At this point, I can’t provide any feedback in that area. I always have ideas on how to improve, but they’re really good. Their marketing is good, as is the size of their team.
Any advice for potential customers?
I would highly recommend Absolute Web. They stuck to the budget. I’ve found that most of the time, companies set a budget and then double it. Their quote was accurate. They’re really reliable. They do the job, and they like to do the job.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director for Nadia Skincare. We are launching a new line for wholesale and retail. We are sold through aesthetic medical providers and direct to consumers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Absolute Web?
We needed help breaking into the skincare marketplace, which is intensely competitive. We needed website development and marketing strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Absolute Web developed two different e-commerce sites, a wholesale and a direct to consumer website using Shopify. They implemented the tools we needed to provide service and to communicate efficiently to build up a customer base. The team provided marketing strategies to reach our target audiences for both sites and assisted in breaking into the influencer market. They also did some email marketing to potential clients, both wholesale and consumer.
What is the team composition?
We interacted with Andres (E-Commerce Project Manager) primarily, on a daily basis. We also interacted with Arseniy (E-Commerce Project Manager) on the B2B side, Matthew (Digital Marketing Strategist), and Hannah (Creative Brand Manager).
How did you come to work with Absolute Web?
We had worked with them in the past, so we invited them to bid on this project. They had reasonable prices and we liked that they aren’t too big to be personal. We met with them, strategized, and found them to be a good fit. They’re savvy to the evolving needs and demands of the market and listen well to how we want to present ourselves, and to launch this line.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent roughly $75,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in August 2019, and it is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their qualifications are apparent through each phase and challenge we threw at them, particularly in the shift from B2C to B2B. We made several adjustments to the margins, benefits, tools, etc. to support the practice of complimenting our partners, and the team made necessary adjustments in the strategy and message to match us. They adjusted their business models accordingly for the restrictions brought about by the pandemic, and they showed flexibility and adaptability. Due to delays in launching, we don’t have metrics to share; however, I believe the metrics will soon reflect the quality of their work.
How did Absolute Web perform from a project management standpoint?
We are in constant communication; they’re very available, flexible, and extremely responsive. They deliver in a timely fashion, are dedicated, and passionate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
As a team, they’re very creative, constantly coming up with new strategies that fit the ever-changing direction of the launch. They each bring something unique to the table: Hannah is a specialist in influencer marketing, Matthew is digitally savvy, bringing tremendous amounts of insight to us, Andres is gifted at seeing minute details while seeing how they fit into the big picture, and Arseniy brings valuable B2B know-how that greatly enhances the team. They have really listened to how we want to be branded, and seem nearly as passionate about our brand as we are.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I believe they’re working to ensure that communication is the best possible, internally, to move work along smoothly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communicate clearly what your direction is so they can best align their efforts and assign the right people to your tasks. Involve them in your project fully, giving them total understanding of who you are and what you’re about.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Inspiranza Designs is an online jewelry store. I am one of the owners of Inspiranza Designs.
For what projects/services did your company hire Absolute Web?
We hired absolute to do the following: 1) fix a website problem that was a result of a hack. 2) Redesign our Big Commerce Website Theme
What were your goals for this project?
Have a more user friendly website.
How did you select this vendor?
I found them online when doing a search for Big Commerce developers. The first gentleman that I worked with called me on the phone the morning that I submitted the problem. They immediately went to work and had the malicious script removed from my website. I was working with Big Commerce on this issue for months and even consulted with a few other developers to no avail. When I decided to go forward with a new web design, the choice was simple.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They converted our them and all of the pages on our website to a new theme and the process was seamless. No worries or concerns. The project was done in a timely manner and would have been even faster if I had worked quicker to do my part.
What was the team composition?
I worked with Slava from start to finish. Although there were others on the team, he was my contact.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
I can't say for the site because we just went live yesterday but as for the script that was fixed...it was HUGE. We were losing sales and customers and they had it fixed in hours.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
I just had direct contact with Slava at all times and he was great.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They responsiveness.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No.
Absolute Web delivered the website with an additional page without charging additional costs. The team hit not only the deadline but also the budget, which was clear from the beginning of the project. Absolute Web was communicative, straightforward, and competently addressed feedback.
