Our company has complex internal processes, many counterparties, complex transactions that we have to manage effectively. We tried different CRM systems on the market, but they didn’t meet all our requirements.

So we decided to create a custom CRM that would include all the necessary functions. So, we decided to find a company that already had experience in CRM development. IdeaSoft has become a great solution.

We needed to build a CRM from scratch. The whole process went very smoothly and comfortably. For the project, we used Angular, .NET, MySQL, MongoDB, as I was told. I am not a technical person. The IdeaSoft team proved to be real professionals, we managed to develop a common process that was convenient for both parties.

We started communicating with the manager, after that, we talked with the technical specialist, and only then we started working with the project manager, who was our connecting link with IdeaSoft until the end of the project. The development team included two full stack developers and a tester.

We are completely satisfied with the product we received and are planning to add several new features in the future. CRM takes into account our specific processes. We haven’t yet measured the efficiency in numbers, but we can already say that it’s increasing.

We used skype and zoom for communication and quickly resolved issues. I can't say anything bad about the management at IdeaSoft. The process was built quite professionally and clearly, which helped us to finish on time.

I should say about the team's experience, professionalism, efficiency in resolving issues, but most of all we were impressed by the openness and friendliness of this team. I will recommend IdeaSoft to my friends and partners because it’s doubly pleasant when you work not only with excellent specialists but also with good people.

We knew that IdeaSoft had similar projects before, so we completely trusted the engineers and got an excellent result.

The IdeaSoft team took into account all our requirements and wishes for the platform's performance. The platform is functional and reliable. Security is one of the main characteristics of such exchanges, which is why we are pleased that the development team has made every effort to ensure that our platform is reliable for users. In general, we are satisfied with what we got.

The communication process was managed by a project manager from IdeaSoft. We received regular updates from the development team, there were no critical problems. Overall, we were comfortable working. We used Skype and Zoom for communication, as the most convenient tools for both us and IdeaSoft.

The whole process was initially built correctly, which allowed us to finish the project on time. Not all teams are capable of this, especially if there are some issues that you can't foresee.

We were impressed by the professionalism of both the project manager, who promptly made changes to the work plan and the engineers who performed their tasks with high quality. It's a pleasure to work with a team that is capable of flexibility without sacrificing quality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

IdeaSoft was comfortable to work with and we are satisfied with the result. Hence, it’s difficult for me to say if they need to improve something. Everything went well with this project

Too little time has passed since the platform's release, but we can already say that the product is promising. We managed to automate most of the routine tasks of managers and now they manage to do more during the working day. IdeaSoft is a really expert company which can easily create a complex product as well as help you make the right technical decisions.

We had our own internal project deadlines and IdeaSoft helped us get everything done on time. We had general meetings with the team several times a week to discuss the current situation and learn about the progress. The project manager was always in touch and promptly answered questions.

We worked with real experts in their field. The process was clear, they took into account our wishes and gave advice on how best to implement this/that feature. We’ve got a quality software product that works great with no release delays. I think we were lucky to find such an experienced development team.

I absolutely satisfied with the result. We are still working on a promotion strategy, so the product hasn’t yet received wide coverage, but from a technical point of view, it’s very good.

We mainly communicated using Zoom and also by email. The project manager kept us informed of all updates. I had the opportunity to communicate with the developers themselves and take a direct part in the process. I knew what kind of application architecture we needed, and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the team took the right direction.

I would like to highlight their dedication and interest in the result. They quickly accepted changes in requirements and maintained a positive team spirit until the project was wrapped up. Special thanks to the project manager for this, who clearly drew up a work plan. Also, IdeaSoft has very experienced developers, so we are confident in the quality of the delivered product.

Well, generally I satisfied with the results. We had some minor scheduling issues, but we quickly resolved the problem.

I’m the CEO of MEDIASAPIENS, a software company developing custom projects for customers in Germany We work in different areas, including logistics, booking systems, fintech, medical tech, and so on.

We’ve built two products with them, including one in the fintech area. The project was around process optimization in fintech companies. We didn’t have enough resources, and we went to IdeaSoft.io for front- and backend development, QA, business analysis, and project ownership

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with business analysis, wireframing, and UI/UX design, continuing with the development of the frontend and backend. We worked iteratively, in different sprints, agile. IdeaSoft.io is our development partner in this project. We have some people here in Germany, and most of the engineers are located in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

We’re using Golang and Python on the backend, and React Redux-Saga on the frontend. We’re doing native development on the mobile client, with Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android. We have some scripts in other languages, but this is our main stack.

We have a microservices architecture for the platform, for different business cases. One of our cases involves blockchain. We’re using a fork of Ethereum called Quorum. It’s a blockchain protocol for ledger technology.

We have functionality for the creation of digital assets. We also have secure digital wallets for transferring assets from one wallet to another, with smart contracts. Then, we have an algorithm for negotiations between borrowers and investors, to find the best-matched portfolios for investment or borrowing. We also have a microservice for portfolio building, for asset managers.

We also have a process management part. It’s similar to project management systems like Jira, but for fintech companies. It allows them to manage groups of people, share documents, and so on. It provides a channel for communication and document exchange. There are a lot of documents to check before making an emission of digital assets, and that’s what the tool is for.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with a team of 15–20 people, depending on the project phase.

How did you come to work with IdeaSoft.io?

We’d worked with another startup since 2011, also located in Kharkiv. I was good friends with IdeaSoft.io’s CEO, and we’d worked together on different projects, including one in the medical segment, for secure video streaming.

How much have you invested with them?

Our total expenditure is around €230,000 so far. The ongoing cost will be around €50,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with IdeaSoft.io three years ago. We started discussions on the latest project in October 2019, the work started in November 2019, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In all of the projects, we have successfully secured all components for delivering quality. We have a good core team with experienced seniors, and they have regression checklists and functional checklists, and they can deliver the quality we need.

How did IdeaSoft.io perform from a project management standpoint?

We track some big-picture requirements on Jira, and we use Gannt charts to track how the project is going—what percentage is done, what’s still open, and which teams are working on which components. We have different small teams for each component, so we can deliver components in different time slots. We have weekly sprints, to see what we’ve done and what’s the status of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have great blockchain engineers, and they have good experience in UI/UX architecture and design. They do a great job providing out-of-the-box thinking about different solutions. If we have no idea how to solve something, there are a lot of people in their company that can bring their experience from other projects and find a solution.

No, I don't have anything in particular for them to improve.

We created safer connection between the card (phone in this case) and the server, it also added value of active location and emergency locator

Some of the developers were on my side (back-end), so we had a constant team-work between the two teams. I’m glad to meet such a responsible and knowledgeable partners. They were constantly available and quick to finish their tasks. Guys have made a good job

They have a streamlined process of development and use all the necessary tools for the software development life cycle. They were constantly providing me with reports so I could clearly understand on what step we were.

The primary goal was to develop a platform to provide a place that companies could come and attract funding, with a mix of investment funding from both professional investors and crowdfunding sources. The platform acts as a showcase of ventures looking for alternative funding routes, and the intention was to build a core product that could be adapted and used within other crowdfunding platforms

How did you select this vendor?

IdeaSoft were recommended as blockchain experts with extensive knowledge in the sector, we looked at 2-3 other vendors, but this is a pretty narrow field, and IdeaSoft had the resources and the expertise to be able to get involved in the specification and get the product built in the shortest time without too much ramp up.

We provided the product outline and roadmap and worked with IdeaSoft on the technical details and architecture through a number of workshops. Our role was as product owners; but IdeaSoft ran the project from the Agile PM viewpoint, and provided the technical architecture, tech leadership and the development and QA teams. They also helped us with market research and competitor analysis during the project.

What was the team composition?

IdeaSoft provided around 8-10 resources on the project, the number of people involved in the teams varied through the project; with architecture and tech planning in the first month and more QA activity towards the end if the project. The development team was around 4-6 strong, and the project used AngularJS on the front end and a backend in .NET/C#. There was a team of 2-3 QAs involved in release activity

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The core platform has been developed and released to clients, there are a few areas of the system not completed due to changed requirements and business need - we are looking to develop these further in a later phase of development with IdeaSoft's development support. Overall the project has been received by clients successfully

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project Management was good and IdeaSoft led us through the milestones of the product development successfully. The project was run on an Agile Scrum process, and we were pleased with the approach and overall service in terms of backlog and requirements, release and sprint process - it was not the easiest project to manage as there were many end clients with differing view on how the platform should operate and what the priorities were! Overall we were very happy with the professional approach taken by them

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our main priority was delivery on time and a fast start up, and IdeaSoft managed to provide the right resources from the start and ramped up the development team quickly; which was what we wanted.

It's good to work with a development team that can cope with limited documentation and requirements. Quality of deliverables was high, which helped to move the project through each phase quickly without too much rework or delay

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall we are pretty satisfied with the results, IdeaSoft did a good job of delivery and helped us a lot in the early stages with tech architecture and the selection of the technical stack. I'm not sure there is anything that we can identify as something that needs improvement on IdeaSoft's side.

We have worked with a lot of other vendors and sub-contractors in the past with mixed experiences, so it was great to work with them on a project that went smoothly!

We use Zeppelin, Jira, and Bitbucket for communication and other tasks. Everything is synchronized between us as a team. I spoke daily with the CTO through Skype. Project management is going excellently. When there are bugs within the database, their team quickly fixes them.

We have a lot of business analysts who can identify complex mass problems. Our customers can then get software development done themselves or they can ask us to do it, which we then outsource. I needed to quickly find a company with good skills at a good price to be that outsourcer.

It started out using them for extra resources. They did a very good job. I decided to continue to grow the number of resources from their side.

They do 75% of all my software development. I tell them what I want them to create and they do it, which gives me a lot of confidence in them. They work on three different projects for me: one is in blockchain, the other two are e-commerce.

They’re a very dedicated team. At one point I called them and told them we couldn’t finish the product and had only one week left to deliver it. They went and found the people required, free of charge. They added two to three people to brainstorm and we found the solution; they worked long hours to deliver the solution.

How did IdeaSoft.io perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Jira for project management, Confluence for documentation, and Bitbucket for all the code. Like any enterprise company, they have very good standards and use an advanced set of tools. That gives them zero opportunity to fail and means they’re in very good shape.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can trust them and I know that if they tell me something, it’s 100% true. They’re very transparent and never play around.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I gradually added more resources because I was very cautious at first, but I'd have worked with more people from the beginning.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you decide to go with them, you don’t need to spend time testing them. If you provide garbage in your requirements, you’ll get garbage—this applies to any outsourcing companies. Prepare good documentation and good requirements for what you need.
