What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out most was their ability to balance technical expertise with a practical, business-oriented approach. They didn’t overcomplicate things or push unnecessary solutions. Instead, they focused on what was actually needed and delivered it in a clear and efficient way. This made the whole process much easier to manage on our side. Their team was also very collaborative, working as an extension of our own rather than as an external vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something 40Q could have done differently?

There were no major issues during the project, and overall the collaboration was very smooth. If anything, more proactive suggestions on potential improvements or future enhancements could have been helpful at certain stages. That said, the team was always responsive and open to feedback whenever we raised questions or new ideas.

I'm the creative director and founder of IdeaRocket LLC, an advertising and marketing company. We create custom animated videos for businesses, offering end-to-end production services, including scripting, design, animation, and post-delivery support in various animation styles.

What challenge were you trying to address with 40Q?

We were happy with our website's design, but the backend was a disaster, and it was very difficult to update it ourselves. We asked 40Q to speed up the website, optimize it for SEO, and make it easier to update.

What was the scope of their involvement?

40Q recreated some sophisticated animations on the website and created a new WordPress interface for us. They also needed to improve the website's performance on several metrics. The team modularized the design elements so that we could mix and match elements when creating a new page.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2022 – May 2022 on the main contract, but they have remained our webmaster company since then on an occasional basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new site did exactly what we intended. It met or exceeded the speed metrics we aimed for, and our SEO rankings noticeably improved. We used GTMetrix and SEMrush to measure results. Additionally, we could make updates to the website without recurring to a development team. 40Q coached us through using the new website. Before, we couldn't do anything without recurring to the development team. If there was anything we couldn't do, they showed us how to do it. It was all quite intuitive, and we could control all the modules ourselves.

How did 40Q perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time. We communicated via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

40Q understood our business challenges well. They set everything up to be easily controlled; the backend had a very nice interface. Moreover, they weren't flustered by anything we threw at them.

I can't think of anything.

After launching our website, information flow for our visitors was much more clear and we saw a 50% increase visits followed by an email marketing campaign that brought us lots of new leads

We had weekly stand-ups with the project manager. They used Zeplin to share their designs and Google Docs so we could share contents. The delivery schedule has been accomplished with no delays.

40Q helped me in the past with the design and development of the website of a corporate translation services company I founded more than 10 years ago. They were great with that project.

After site launch and prior to the Whale Shark Season visits to our website increased by a 100% (supported with an ads campaign) and we were able to close 60% more deals than the previous season.

We could have used other tools for communicating, like Slack, but it wasn't so well-known as it is today.
