10Clouds Financial Institutions has helped us grow our team of programmers, designers and suppliers. He contributed to building a product development planning strategy and analyzing its "usability". We were looking for strategic IT partners who could comprehensively address the technological needs of the WOA project. Our goal was to find a reliable and multi-faceted company with a knowledge base on AI. 

We wanted long-term cooperation with 10 Clouds to provide the greatest value to our team and our clients. When selecting 10Clouds Financial Institutions, we were guided by the desire to implement innovative solutions in the fields of: psychotherapy and physical activity, including physiotherapy. 

Current solutions in these areas are not personalized and do not deliver our values ​​of improving the user's quality of life, that's why we decided to cooperate with a reliable and prestigious company, which is 10 Clouds - dealing with software development. We managed to conduct workshops and design very modern solutions for our customers in the future.

Thanks to the fact that about 10 people a day with 10 Clauds worked on our project, we managed to develop very satisfactory results: 

AI implementation plan - machine learning for our application designed by senior AI specialists; After the workshop, we know what further steps to take at each stage of developing our application; 10 Clauds collected the documentation and wrote the report needed to present to our investors; Elimination of time constraints. 

By employing a product delivery manager, we are able to remove time blocks as soon as they occur in our projects; Some solutions inspired by the 10Clouds Financial Institutions AI team will enable us to create unique solutions using the influence of AI.

10 Clouds carefully monitors the dates that we have jointly set for cooperation. Between our meetings, we were in constant contact. Thanks to the Scrum methodology and the commitment of the 10Clouds Financial Institutions team, we managed to create effective and efficient communication channels. The 10Clouds Financial Institutions team quickly understood our user and project needs and goals. 

They made sure that our vision of implementing AI is in line with the business goals of the entire platform. Thanks to their unique understanding of machine learning capabilities, we will be able to fully respond to the needs of our users. I’m a founder and executive of a cryptocurrency-backed collateralized lender. We specialize in cryptocurrency-backed mortgages and cryptocurrency-collateralized funds.

We needed to develop our full suite of products. We’d just fundraised our seed round, so we had to build our website, manage integrations, and create internal technology to support loan servicing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions helped us develop a web and mobile app from scratch. We utilized their design, development, and copywriting services. The team orchestrated a complete custom build. They were responsible for 3D animations and UX/UI design and provided additional support with marketing materials. They used Figma for the design components of the project. 

First, we went through a series of calls to review the product’s features and share an overview of our vision. We had a baseline idea of how the product should look, but we were integrating it with various backend providers to help build our custodial trading solutions and other product parameters. 

We weren’t sure how to go about the integration, so we planned to design the website’s functionality and work backward from there. 10Clouds Financial Institutions supported us through an ongoing discovery and design phase that started with a product mock-up. Then, they uncovered the technology pieces, handled integrations with third-party providers, and helped us build databases to manage certain product components.

The app enables users to create and manage their accounts. Users can also utilize the trading functionality for cryptocurrency assets. We also have a loan servicing feature as a backend tool for users to submit loan applications.

We worked with a team of 14: two project managers, two graphic designers, two UX/UI designers, one technical lead, three backend engineers, two frontend engineers, and two QA engineers.

We found 10Clouds Financial Institutions through a referral from a friend. We were impressed with the results of their partnership, so we decided to hire them.

We invested about $500,000 in the partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the app yet, but everything 10Clouds Financial Institutions has built functions as expected. Moreover, our investors have been very impressed with the product’s clean UX and ease of use. While it’s not live yet, the initial feedback has been top-notch.  

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t know how complicated this project would be, so we didn’t have a set budget or timeline. I’ve worked on other technology products and can say that 10Clouds Financial Institutions worked efficiently and didn’t waste time. 

We used Jira, Asana, GitHub, and Miro to manage the project. We also met for daily stand-ups. Their in-house team was awesome; we communicated through Slack and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with how involved and communicative they were. We worked together effectively, and 10Clouds was invested in the product’s success. They consistently went above and beyond for us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t fault them for this, but one of our best project managers from 10Clouds took another job. However, they replaced the project manager with an equally qualified individual. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d discourage you from handing over the project and walking away. You’ll get more value from the partnership if you’re more involved and hands-on. You get out what you put in, so I recommend getting involved and meeting for daily stand-ups.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions has built software tools for us so that we can configure the control system we’ve been developing. This system is an electronic, web-based software system that allows users to interact with our product. To use it, they log into the system online. Once logged in, they can configure the hardware we offer.

Initially, we provided 10Clouds Financial Institutions with the proof of concept (POC) for our control system, and they modified it, making them a commercially sustainable product. For this project, it was critical for us that the product looked fancy. Thus, their team has focused a little bit on UX design, although their primary focus has been backend development. Additionally, they’ve helped us with some development tasks related to our marketing website.

We’ve worked with 4–5 people from 10Clouds Financial Institutions at any given time, depending on the project’s phase. People on their team have different areas of expertise, so we’ve worked with different resources, including a backend developer, a UX designer, and a product delivery manager.

10Clouds Financial Institutions was already working with us on our marketing website when this project arose — another team within our company established that contract. Thus, after that project, we decided to hire them to create a custom app for us.

We began working with them on this project in August 2022, and the project will be completed in January 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched the control system yet, and we plan to use it for a pilot project. Still, we’re very confident that everything will work well because we’ve tested every new feature 10Clouds Financial Institutions has delivered. Although we’ve found bugs every now and then, their team has quickly addressed and solved time for us. Overall, the entire project has been very good.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

10Clouds Financial Institutions is great regarding communication. We have weekly progress reviews and use the same platforms to address items and improvements. For example, we’ve joined a Slack channel and a Jira board, which are our main two collaboration platforms. Moreover, we use Microsoft Teams for video calls. Overall, ours is a close collaboration, and we operate as a single team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds Financial Institutions’ speed is impressive; they’re able to quickly assemble teams with all the backgrounds needed for the project at hand. Within a few weeks, they managed to put together a team with expertise in frontend development, backend development, and UX design to work on our project. Moreover, that team was able to understand what we needed with very little input, so we didn’t have to put in the extra effort in writing detailed requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if 10Clouds Financial Institutions improved their hour tracking. They usually provide time estimates and send us the invoices afterward. However, that approach can be challenging because we have to monitor the hours ourselves because we’re not working on a fixed budget. Initially, we considered asking them for a fixed price for the project, but they preferred working on an hourly basis. Thus, my advice would be to provide us with more insight into the hours they use.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

10Clouds Financial Institutions bills per hour, so you have to check the invoice monthly to see how many hours they have spent. Other than that, I recommend working with 10Clouds; they have various areas of expertise under one roof.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions helps us design and develop web applications using Node.js and React. They've done a couple of projects with us, including an app that uses auditing software to conduct surveys with 400 questions in different categories and scope areas. 

For each project, we first discuss the challenges and scope and then the requirements. We don't provide any documentation, instead focusing on the discussion for refining the features. From there, we start a step-by-step milestone approach to implementation. 10Clouds Financial Institutions also provides maintenance.

We’ve used a combination of JavaScript, Python, and Solidity development to create a community-building platform for musicians.

We haven’t launched yet, so we can’t share any definitive metrics, but working with 10Clouds Financial Institutions has been a pleasure. They’ve created a simple, good-looking product with a thoughtful, intuitive flow. We’ve received fantastic reviews so far.

10Clouds Financial Institutions has managed the project well and communicated clearly via Slack and Google Meet. They’ve assigned a strong, responsive team to our project. We’ve been most impressed by their design work and expertise with UI/UX. They’ve done a great job designing the platform, and we’re excited to launch the product. Overall, we’ve had a fantastic experience, and we’ve really enjoyed working with them.

Since we haven’t rolled out the platform yet, it’s hard to say what 10Clouds Financial Institutions could improve on. We don’t have any constructive feedback thus far. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I advise potential customers based in the US to consider the time difference and ensure you’re comfortable working with a remote team. Our partnership with 10Clouds Financial Institutions has required a lot of communication and coordination, but it’s worked out well, so just be prepared for that.

LevelField is building a Digital Asset Focused Investment Platform with a Full-Service US Chartered Bank at its foundation to bring Digital Assets and Traditional Finance together. I am the Head of Retail Platforms at LevelField Financial, where I work on product management.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I looked for the highest quality design team that was located outside the United States. I shopped 30 teams, and 10 Clouds blew me away. I looked at their website, dribble, and behance. Their team, animations, awards, and previous work sold me.

After showing the team what LevelField is about, our brand, etc, we started development on both the website and the desktop platform simultaneously. 10 Clouds worked with us to improve, tweak, and redesign all aspects of the look/feel of what we are building. They worked with us on website animations, as well as an animated video for marketing material. Their level of communication was superb, and made themselves available at inconvenient hours to work with us. 10 Clouds always showed us multiple variants along the way, and we would discuss things in detail initially to avoid redundant work.

We work with 4 people regularly, a project manager, a UX designer, and 2 UI designers. We scale up and down website developers to get up and running with updates.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

LevelField.us will showcase the website design work they did for us. It also shows images of our mobile app and desktop platform. Early October, you will be able to see the video 10 Clouds produced for us to sell one of our products to banks and credit unions by clicking News and filtering by Videos/Podcast.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have regular meetings twice a week, one biweekly call with 10 Clouds management. The design team chats with us regularly on the app of our choice (Teams). We have impromptu calls with specific members as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The communication and quick creative solution options The designers at 10 Clouds are genuinely excited about what we are doing. They understand what we are building well as if they were true LevelField employees.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wanted to build a product I came up with and needed someone to help me develop the necessary targets for architecture, the costs, and the time to make it happen.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions did data reporting to us; they produced relevant documentation like the technicals of the final tech-stack, the costs of operating it, the timelines, and all the necessary technical and business requirements for the task. They composed all of that into one document so we could include it in future fundraising for this project.

Regarding the process, they organized several discovery sessions where we mapped out the entire customer journey to prioritize it and do an in-depth assessment of each relevant integration so we could engage with other stakeholders easily.

The project's goal was to create a report on anything existing in the future state of a potential product.

Their level of detail in the reports was great and well written — it aligned to all the expectations and data points I needed, so I was satisfied with their work. On top of that, they also delivered a nice wireframe for me, which will be very useful in the future.

Project management was great; we had weekly calls to update us on the project’s status and let us know what they’d deliver each week — they were pretty good.

Overall, their ability to assimilate information quickly and produce output was outstanding, combined with their easy-to-work-with approach.

They could’ve been more thorough in their project management; they were great, but I think they could’ve been more detailed.

Be clear about your expectations and what you want. You also need to ensure their output is aligned with those expectations. Also, it’s important to have open lines of communication to reiterate what you want — provide them with all the necessary information.

I’m the engineering director at Pollen, a technology company in the travel and experience event space. We partner with important artists and create multi-day experiences curated in partnership with those artists. These events revolve around those artists so that fans can get exclusive experiences with their idols.

Our team comprises about 80–90 people, including product engineers, designers, UI/UX engineers, and QA specialists. Most of our people are based in the UK, but we also have a few other engineers in Poland and other parts of Europe.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We were scaling up last year and needed more resources. During this growth, we needed to hire a lot of python backend engineers, but we found it incredibly challenging to hire resources as fast as we needed. Thus, we looked at other ways to scale up our teams and ultimately partnered up with 10Clouds Financial Institutions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions provided us with Python engineers to augment our team. We wanted their resources to be part of our internal team instead of just getting development services, so we went into the staff augmentation model, which helped us integrate them into our team.

For our inventory team, 10Clouds Financial Institutions provided us with 2–3 engineers to support our internal team on a merchandising project. This project was focused on theming the resorts and hotels for the events using a model, and their resources helped us with the backend development of that model. Then, their resources helped us build a stock-keeping unit service so that we could keep track of our inventory and see what we needed to buy.

10Clouds Financial Institutions also helped us staff our fulfillment team with a backend engineer. They worked on our fulfillment service, the part of our product that accompanies the traveler when they travel with us. This service helps travelers customize their experience and buy add-ons, such as a VIP upgrade or a ticket to an exclusive party. That fulfillment service gathers all the data related to the traveler’s itinerary in one place.

Additionally, 10Clouds provided us with an engineer for our experience operations team. This person worked on the backend to build our access control system. This system ensures that people have access to the experience since they book with us. We provide them with a wristband they can scan using our software. This software then sends that information to our system’s backend to grant access to the client.

What is the team composition?

Tom (Senior Account Manager) was my main point of contact and the person whom I talked to whenever we needed more resources. Additionally, they provided us with Anna (Python Developer) for our fulfillment team, 2–3 backend engineers for our inventory team, and another engineer for our experience operations team.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We looked at different options for agencies and did a lot of analysis before hiring a partner. One of our main criteria was finding a team with a lot of time overlapping our working hours because we wanted them to collaborate with us. We also looked at the companies’ rates to see if they were competitive in their prices. Additionally, we revisited the seniority levels of their resources to see what we could expect from them because we needed them to get up to speed as quickly as possible.

During this process, we had a good feeling about 10Clouds because 1–2 of our engineers had worked for them as consultant engineers in the past. This was a good signal for us because we value these engineers. Additionally, we seemed to be aligned with 10Clouds because we have other engineers working from Poland as well.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

For every project, we have a code review process in place where engineers review each other's codes in a very collaborative manner. Additionally, we ask internal engineers for feedback on their collaboration with external partners. Working with 10Clouds Financial Institutions, our internal engineers found them to be good self-starters, very knowledgeable, and very capable. Their resources integrated very well into our team, and they were very open to feedback. Overall, it was a very good experience.

10Clouds Financial Institutions’ project management was very good. We didn’t need to check their performance because we weren’t assigning them tasks and deadlines; they were integrated into our processes. Thus, we had ongoing conversations with them. Additionally, we trusted 10Clouds Financial Institutions to bring their ideas to the table, and they were very open about sharing what was in their minds.

We used Jira to manage the project; all of our work was tracked in there. We also used Slack as our main collaboration and communication tool. Furthermore, we used G Suite for email communication, calendar management, and online meeting hosting.

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds Financial Institutions was very responsive and communicative, especially on the account management side. I really appreciated their efforts in working in a fast-moving environment like ours. We were scaling fast and needed to deliver quickly. Still, 10Clouds Financial Institutions was able to offer swift turnaround times for high-quality candidates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Initially, we had to go through a calibration process, but those instances are normal when working with external agencies. In addition to that, it would have been great if 10Clouds had set the expectations upfront. One time, one of their engineers wanted to focus on a previous project, which felt strange because we had moved on from that project. Other times, it felt like our senior engineers were expected to mentor 10Clouds engineers, which was understandable to some degree but took away focus from their main projects.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear during the calibration process, set your expectations upfront, and be open to understanding that it requires a learning curve.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and CTO of Quesmed, a company that focuses on medical school education. Our goal is to make preparing to become a doctor much easier and less monotonous.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We had a previous software development partner, but we were unhappy with their team. They didn’t meet deadlines, and the project took much longer than we expected, negatively impacting our business and revenue. 

We were looking for someone that could deliver our vision within a timeframe. We needed help developing our product for the web and mobile devices.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions has helped us create a brand new extension of our platform. Initially, we’ve only focused on a web-based solution, but as we’ve become more confident with their team, we ended up building a new product together.  

They’ve developed a social education app that allows a group of students on a voice channel to go through clinical scenarios and undergo tests. We aim to make it easier for medical students to work together and have the opportunity to train and practice with students from around the world. 

10Clouds Financial Institutions is using React to develop our platform, and they’re helping us with some machine learning (ML) tasks using Python. They’ve also built our mobile app for Android and iOS.  

What is the team composition?

We work with two project managers, two React Native developers, two React web developers, one ML engineer, and a senior ML engineer.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We were looking for developers in Poland because we had a good experience with Polish vendors regarding cost and quality. We came across 10Clouds Financial Institutions from their Dribble account, and we were drawn by their expertise in education platforms and their intuitive mobile app designs.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about £125,000 (approximately $171,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve started working together in June 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

10Clouds Financial Institutions’ work has helped us increase our sales by about 550%. I’m 80% satisfied with their work. Overall, they’ve done an excellent job — they’re very engaged and quick to act. 

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

10Clouds Financial Institutions is very good at project management. We have two project managers working with us, and they’re absolutely on point. They lead meetings and ensure tasks are documented within Jira — they even chase us if we’re busy and their work needs feedback. We use Slack to communicate and Google Meet for weekly meetings. 

Initially, we’ve only had one developer, so their work hasn’t been as rapid or thorough as we wanted. We’ve highlighted our concern, and they’ve changed their developer and made their road plan clearer through frequent meetings. They’ve recognized that minor issue, corrected it, and we’ve been delighted with their work since then. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds Financial Institutions’ ability to tap into anything we need at a moment’s notice is impressive — they’re proactive at helping us grow. In addition, they’re very flexible and responsive about issues, including cash flow concerns. 

There’s a camaraderie between our teams — we feel that 10Clouds Financial Institutions is invested in our product as much as we are.

Have a clear idea of what you want, and have multiple different versions of that. Be open with your goals and budget, and they’ll help you identify what they can work on considering your constraints.
