How did you select this vendor?

10Clouds Financial Institutions was the creators of another design we found as a reference in the web, we'd loved their competence in apps UI/UX design, so it was pretty much obvious decision to select them for our project.

We quickly discussed everything about the project, met 10Clouds Financial Institutions team and started to work. There are not much details here because all project have passed very quick and smooth.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

10Clouds Financial Institutions managed to find 50+ UX problems in our design which was crucial and it helped us a lot when we decided to make full redesign of our platform. Also we've learned a lot about from their feedback which is awesome and valuable, now we can construct our platform keeping in mind some rules to follow.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their workflow was 10/10.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Probably their friendliness and how good are they in some things, especially accordingly UX design. I'm intrigued to have more projects with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A lot of agencies struggle with the same problem, but it's price policy, especially how clean and understandable is it. UX/UI audit was a clean offer with stable price, but another projects has very versatile price policy which is good and bad at the same time.

We wanted to make an MVP of our platform that helps athletes assess their physical shape and readiness to help them achieve peak performance.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We built a cross-platform app using Flutter and Firebase. In a kick-off workshop, we provided 10Clouds Financial Institutions with our research material, as well as a simple design wireframes and sketches. They presented their research material as well and then helped us create further design and wireframes. Ultimately, they designed the final version of the MVP.

We worked with six people, including a project manager, account manager, and a senior Flutter developer.

We’d worked with them before and were satisfied with the outcome of that collaboration. When we spoke 10Clouds them about this project, they had great ideas and we felt that they understood what we wanted to achieve.

We spent around €40,000 (approximately $49,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We had a goal to launch by the end of April, and we were able to launch a couple of weeks early. There have been no reports of crashes either. 10Clouds Financial Institutions met all the KPIs.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional and structured, resulting in a fluid project that finished under budget and ahead of schedule. We followed Scrum principles, having weekly calls for several things, such as planning and review. We used Jira and InVision and communicated via Teams, Google Meet, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were passionate about the project, giving more than we asked for regarding research and ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always room for improvement, but nothing specific comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a good plan and share your ideas with 10Clouds Financial Institutions, but also give them space to bring their own ideas to the table.

I am a Senior Brand Designer at Samsara. Samsara is a company that develops sensor systems with remote networking, and cloud-based analytics. Our platform enables customers to run their operations from the cloud by capturing data using sensors, cameras, and integrations, and surface insights using AI-powered analytics.

For what projects/services did your company hire 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We hired 10Clouds Financial Institutions to help us create a 3D animation that would live on our homepage and serve as a talking point for our sales reps.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of this animation was to communicate our overall platform and all of its features at a glance. We wanted to be able to show our customers what a connected operation could look like in an engaging and interesting way.

SOLUTION

How did you select 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

Our team reached out to a couple of freelancers but we landed on Igor ( 10Clouds Financial Institutions Lead ) because we felt like his style matched with our initial vision. We were initially hesitant about the time difference and language barrier but were pleasantly surprised at the initial pitch and project scope that Edgar had put together. The team put together docs that outline the project scope, cost, and timeline in a clear and concise manner which made the decision to work with them much easier.

Describe the project in detail.

The initial scope was for us to start with a still model - we provide the team with a rough sketch of what we were looking for and examples of objects we needed 3D models for. The process overall was very smooth, over the course of 4 months we only had to hop on a few calls, which was amazing given the time difference. All direction and feedback were done through a private slack that 10Clouds Financial Institutions set up. The project went over scope largely because of our stakeholder feedback but 10Clouds Financial Institutions was patient and would still hit our deadlines even after feedback was drawn out.

We were given 3 very talented designers and animators and 1 project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The animation came out amazing - our employees and customers loved it. Sales uses it a lot in their initial pitches and we're continuing to build out and expand on 3D model usage into our design system.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been great, especially considering the time difference. We generally use visuals and google docs/slides to communicate changes. The slack channel has been amazing for us to connect and give feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am always amazed at the team's patients and ability to fit us in even if feedback is late. The team is always eager to start new projects and we're excited to continue to build with them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The team is generally great at attention to detail, but there were a few revs where items were missed. This could possibly be because of miscommunication but shooting over screenshots before animating or fully exporting out could help avoid unnecessary revs.

I’m the CTO of Cred, a crypto-lender. We take cryptocurrency offered from people and give them interest and a line of credit. We also create loans based on cryptocurrency.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We needed staff augmentation services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided staff augmentation services for backend development in Python and frontend in React and JavaScript. They did the code base with my team as a part of developing the lending application. The application allows for the onboarding of new customers and proper management of their wallets. There’s also a component where they can create programs that are investments of their assets to get a line of credit and pay interest.

Furthermore, we did one project using VoE technology which is also JavaScript and different technologies. Lastly, they did DevOps also by setting up an Amazon, automation, and the continuous integration (CI).

What is the team composition?

There were between 2-10 people. We wanted to be able to be flexible — grow and shrink based on projects that came in. They participated inside our scrum teams and provided senior developers, project management, and developers.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

They worked with me in the previous company I worked at. When I came to this company, I continued my relationship with them.

We’ve spent $300,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March until November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I measured it by the quality of the developers they supplied, the quality of the code, their ability to correct mistakes and take responsibility for those mistakes, and to help as a partner in getting the project done. As long as I get the same level or more that I’d get from a full-time employee, I’d be happy. We get very high-quality developers; they’re experienced and are independent contributors. They really help a lot. I’m very happy with their performance and I’d definitely work with them again.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their account manager had a weekly meeting with me to go over the scope of the project. There’s a project manager that was directly involved in the project and participated in the scrum meetings on a daily basis. They solved any problems that came up. Whenever we encountered something that wasn’t exactly done as expected, they took responsibility for it and corrected it on their own. We communicated via Slack. There was never a point where I couldn’t get a hold of somebody.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re flexible, agile in finding high-performing developers in a short period of time. They’re able to deliver, as well. Experienced in management, they’ll help guide the project for people who have less experience in technology management.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for them to improve. They met my expectations.

Our organization is focused on changing the way teachers create content. Our product allows teachers to create engaging worksheets that they can share with their students and fellow teachers. I’m the CEO.

We were looking for a quick way to locate a senior frontend developer for our project, and that’s where 10Clouds Financial Institutions came in.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The senior frontend developer from 10Clouds Financial Institutions handles all the development of the website itself, as well as the new features we’re currently circulating out to the product. We’re working on Angular. A little bit down the road, we also added a UX/UI specialist who’s working on the project as well.

Together, we’ve developed a Google Drive app. We’re also revamping the homepage and some other aspects of the website.

I’ve been in communication with their CEO as well as with their project manager and client success manager.

We were referred to them by another entrepreneur we were in contact with, who’d worked with 10Clouds Financial Institutions in the past and found them to be highly professional.

We’ll spend around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Most of the features we’ve rolled out so far have been very popular. We’ve had around 16,000 downloads on one of our most recent app releases. 

The project is still a work in progress; we didn’t have a lot of development force before working with 10Clouds Financial Institutions. In general, it’s been going very well. We don’t have any specific metrics right now, but we’ve seen a big increase in our ability to roll out new features. 

Overall, we’re very happy with the people we have on the team right now in terms of communication and deliverables and the fact that they keep to their estimations on their time delivery. Everyone on our team is very happy with 10Clouds Financial Institutions’ contribution, and we’re even looking for additional people from them. 

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s taken us a bit of time to work out the best project management strategy for us, and we’ve ended up switching project managers, and everything is working out now. We’re using Slack to keep in touch. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds Financial Institutions has an excellent ability to find the right resources for our projects. If we need someone who’s an expert in a certain area, they’re able to locate someone who’s not just an expert, but who is also easy to work with. Their ability to find talent that’s also a match in terms of personality is most impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At this stage of our relationship, we don’t have any criticism or anything they could have done better.

We’re the Swiss subsidiary of a global accounting firm and I’m the product owner.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We needed help with building a new web application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions built a new web application for pharma and neurology with proactive decision support for doctors and advanced analytics. The database existed already, but they developed it from scratch. 

The team used Node.js for the backend and Vue.js. They also did some design work. Some of the key features include patient data collection, reminder generation, and in-depth analytics of the doctors’ performance. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with front- and backend developers, an automated tester, a project manager, and designers. 

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

Our firm had already done a couple of projects with them, and we generally had really good experiences. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €120,000–€130,000 (approximately $143,000–$155,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

They completed the project in eight months, from March–October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The product is now in user testing. During the project, we worked as one team. We had a good relationship built on trust. 

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We involved our end-client in the scrum sprints. We had biweekly sprint reviews where our client gave us feedback and where we decided on what needed to be done next.

There was a continuous feedback loop. There was no micromanagement, and I trusted 10Clouds Financial Institutions’ estimations. We use Jira and Confluence for planning and documentation.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with the backend engineer’s seniority and proactive suggestions. 10Clouds Financial Institutions would come up with an approach and then we would build the whole architecture together. 

I had other experiences where we were expected to deliver everything to the vendor on a silver plate, but with 10Clouds Financial Institutions, it was really an exchange. That impressed me and helped the project. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Every transition was a bit chaotic. At the beginning of the project or when it came to onboarding people, it took a while to get everything running smoothly. But once that was sorted out, it was all good.

Make sure you have clear requirements and that 10Clouds Financial Institutions understands the business context.

I’m the CTO of a video analysis and publishing platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

They’re doing the front- and backend development for our service.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The website they’re building has a Django backend and React frontend. Users can upload videos to our platform, which applies machine learning and computer vision technologies to break down the video into different clips.

The backend includes a video processing pipeline that was built on Kubernetes. It has a workflow manager that splits videos up, analyzes them, and stores the data. From there, the system brings the data back together for analysis.

The frontend provides a user-friendly UI for our customers. They can look at suggested clips and publish them on YouTube, Twitter, or self-owned and operated websites.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with about 25 people, including two people on the project management side, one person on the backend, one on the frontend, and about 10 other people.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We worked with 10Clouds Financial Institutions on a previous project. Before that, our CEO worked with them on another project as well. So, when we started working on this project, we decided to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions and they seemed like a really good fit. We did a pilot project and it worked well, so we continued to use them.

We started working with them in January 2019 and the project is ongoing.

They have a great work ethic. Our priority right now is making sure everything is getting done. We change directions every few weeks, and they’ve been able to adapt. We just want to get the product out there, see how it works, and pivot as needed. They’ve done quite a lot in our engagement so far.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication has been great. They manage most of the day-to-day work under our guidance. We have daily meetings with biweekly sync meetings. They keep us updated on all Jira instances.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their flexibility and expertise. Every time we present a new request or throw a new idea at them, they rise to the challenge.

They provided engineers to help us with the projects we had in our pipeline, fully integrating with our in-house engineers. The first project was helping create all the localizations in our platform. The platform allows property managers to post jobs for repairs and maintenance for the properties that they manage.

We were happy with how they were integrated into the team, even though they were part of another company. We measured them like we measured other parts of the team, focusing on the number of PRs created, the number of projects delivered on time, and the number of issues handled.

We’re very happy with our work with them. We definitely recommend them to other people to try them. Their seniority and experience were quite high.

My goal for this project was to develop a working prototype to take out to the market for feedback.

How did you select 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

I selected 10Clouds Financial Institutions based on Clutch reviews and a cold outreach, but prior to that, I had reviewed at least 5 other companies. I was impressed with the reviews and quality of the sample deliverables they sent me.

I put together a project requirements document and had a few calls with the team. Edgar in particular was helpful in connecting me with the right team members, getting the proposals developed, and setting the project timeline.

I worked closely with one of their designers, Mikolaj, who was fantastic. He put a lot of deep thinking into not just the design but the product functionality and came up with a lot of the great ideas for the product himself. I really appreciated working with him.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're at the early stages, so nothing specific to report yet, but I'm very happy with the product overall. There are a few aspects of the product design that didn't fully match my vision, but 10 Clouds was very open to revisiting and making sure the final design is what I had in mind.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was effective. We largely communicated on Slack and had periodic check-in calls.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think their design skills are very impressive, and the thinking they brought to the project exceeded my expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I received 3 different quotes on the same design request, which made it hard for me to understand why the price would be different for the same requirements. Some of the communications around my requirements weren't fully incorporated, but 10Clouds Financial Institutions is very open to revisiting.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions provides us with DevOps, Python, React, React Native, NodeJS, and QA engineers. They support us with key development capabilities we need beyond our own development team. We prefer to work with one trusted partner rather than piece together a team of contractors.

We have a team of close to 10 people right now.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

Another partner of ours recommended them. We tried them out and were very happy. 

How much have you invested with them?

I believe we’ve spent more than $1 million at this point.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them for almost two years now and intend to continue our partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

What I love about their developers is that they really take ownership of what they do. They don’t just do what they’re told to do; they really think about the product, code, and solution, and they recommend their own improvements. They even create improvements to the solution without any input from us, which just demonstrates more ownership on their behalf, makes our lives easier, and makes for a better outcome to the whole product.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We have both online and offline communication through things like Slack and daily morning huddles. They provide scrum master support for us, and that scrum master also works a lot with the team internally during their business hours to move everything along. He’s always up to date and knows everything that’s going on in the project. He creates agendas and meeting summaries to make sure that everyone is on the same page. He is constantly looking out for topics that need to tackled, discussed, or communicated about to move things forward.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everybody we’ve hired through them has had very high skillsets. They’re eager to learn and try new things. We frequently ask them to pick up work that they’ve never done before, and they’re very willing to work with us and take up the challenge.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I only wish that they offered more than just programming services, but I don’t think that’s necessarily in their business model. We’ve been hoping they could help us with certain marketing activities like marketing, creative or SEO. There has been some turnover on their side, but that’s expected with a lot of consulting companies.

Any advice for potential customers?

I’d say that you can trust their expertise and suggestions. They’re honest and transparent in everything that they do, so it’s easy to establish a good working relationship. They’re willing to grow and hire skillsets that they might not have initially. Even if they don’t have somebody available right now, they’re good about hiring skillsets that you might need on your project, so that shouldn’t be a stopper.
