What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

One of my investors proposed a challenge for me to try and solve: simplify or gamify the job application process to make it more geared toward millennials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds Financial Institutions is doing our branding. We’ve been building a clickable prototype for both the mobile and web app. They’re also doing a video reel. We plan to show the prototypes and video reel to investors, and then once we get financing, we’ll develop the web and mobile app with 10Clouds Financial Institutions.

What is the team composition?

I work with seven people right now.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

I found them through Clutch. I was originally talking to companies here in the states; I was hesitant to go overseas. I was just about to kick everything off with one company but then got an email from them saying they had just taken on a new Fortune 500 client, so they were going to put my project on the back burner.

I decided to call 10Clouds because their reviews were great. With the other company, I just got the sense that they didn’t care about my small company. From day one of working with 10Clouds, I felt like I was Bill Gates. They knocked it out of the park. After the first couple of phone calls, it was a no brainer; these were the guys to go with.

We’ve spent about $30,000 so far. All in, it’ll be about $31,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

My initial discovery session with them was May 2019, but we started the branding and prototyping in January 2020. The work is ongoing. The prototype will be done next week and the video reel June 1.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With everything going on with COVID, a lot of stuff has gotten pushed back. We started our work together before the outbreak really took off, and we’ve only been delayed a week – and that was because of me trying to get some documents together. We just completed the branding yesterday, and it looks great. There has been no slowdown, which has definitely been a testament to them.

All I had to do was unload my ideas on them, and they delivered amazing branding. My investors have been blown away, which is especially great since they’re older, and this is geared toward millennials and Gen Zs. I’ve shown the app to millennials, and they all wonder where this app has been.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They are amazing. There are some really great companies in America, but 10Clouds Financial Institutions has blown them out of the water. They manage a bunch of people in different time zones – they’re out of Warsaw and I’m in Dallas. Olena (Agile Project Manager) literally changed her schedule because I’m in America. Even if I write her an email late at night, I get a response, and by the time I wake up the next morning, action has been taken, everyone has been queued in, and we’re up and running. It’s really impressive how they manage their people.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I talked to a lot of companies that said they love working with startups, but the walk didn’t match the talk. Something I’ve found with 10Clouds Financial Institutions is that, throughout the project, they’ve made it as unintimidating as possible. They’ve shown unbelievable enthusiasm. I’ve been telling other entrepreneurs I know that if they want to partner with a team, they can’t go wrong with 10Clouds Financial Institutions. They genuinely make you feel valued and like a true partner, no matter how small you are.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. We haven’t even had a hiccup; it’s crazy how flawless this has been, considering we’ve never developed an app. I wouldn’t change a single thing about them.

Any advice for potential customers?

I have a friend who’s the social media manager for a really big energy company, and I was showing him the mobile prototype last week. He was very impressed and asked how it was working out with 10Clouds Financial Institutions being abroad. I told him that you get unbelievable quality and much better prices and service. My recommendation is to hire them as soon as you can; just set up a phone call, and let them do what they do best.

I’m a senior product manager at an accounting firm. I’m a part of the experience center, which is the more of the digital arm of the company. I’m a product owner.

We were building a platform that enables financial service providers to register and get a license to operate in our country. There’s a new law that states you need a new type of license.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed the platform for our client together. The backend is Python, and the frontend is React. The frontend is more or less forms that the end-users can fill in. We integrated Jira so our client could process requests coming from their financial service provider clients. There was also a payment integration.

What is the team composition?

There were changes over different iterations, but there were always around five developers.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

They were an existing supplier. We did a previous project with them and had a good experience, so we went back to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent under €120,000–€130,000 ($130,400–$141,200 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2019. The first MVP came in August. We stopped our work then, but we started up again in January.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our client was very happy. I’m a bridge between development and the client. If the requirements are met and the features are working, then it’s positive. The client also gave the whole project team a good grade. It’s always important that we progress and deliver value over time. Every sprint feature was developed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s the trust and relationship we started to build with them. They added additional seniority on the team. If I work with a partner, I need to be able to rely on them. In terms of issues, we had clear communication and knew what to do. They also proactively came up with options. They’re always thinking about the project, sometimes challenging us rather than just delivering something.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was a little unclear in the beginning about how we should work with them and onboard new people. They improved it when we onboarded a new team for a bigger, new iteration, though, and it went well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have an agile mindset. It’s best if you have a team and a capacity set and then define the features during the project.

10Clouds Financial Institutions provided us with a team of developers based in Poland. Whenever we needed developers quickly for special projects, we turned to them for our software development needs.

One project involved a multi-tier application. Their team developed the backend using Python Django, Java, GraphQL, and specifically Apollo. The frontend was built in React and React Native. They also provided DevOps and product management support when needed. Their team did full feature development with their independent teams, as well.

At different points, we were assigned 15–20 developers. Right now, we’re at a lower number but plan on ramping back out.

In every area, the team at 10Clouds Financial Institutions is full of highly-qualified, experienced developers that work at a competitive price. The developers also are professional and customer-oriented. The quality of code was very high, with a focus on unit testing and fully automated continuous integration.

There are no issues. If there were any problems, they would solve them quickly. 10Clouds Financial Institutions is a strong Python shop but also specialize in React and other frontend technologies. They’re also skilled in web design.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication skills are very high. The team at 10Clouds Financial Institutions performs above expectation. They’re easy to work with. I’ve been in engagements with businesses all over the world, and 10Clouds is the best company to work with. They are amazing with project management, product analysis, and account management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team at 10Clouds Financial Institutions is willing to go above and beyond to solve any problems. Along with being excellent at communication, they pay close attention to the account management side. Their general attitude is that of partnering rather than providing a service. Kickoff an engagement with an onsite visit. After you have a core team, have a face-to-face meeting. Their developers are very capable, so try to give them as much information up front and let them give their input.

We did a global search, and down selected the leading 3 vendors. We then conducted interviews via VTC to determine fit and capability and responsiveness.

10Clounds was responsible for the implementation of our product MVP concept. We provided product vision and product ownership, and the developed and deployed the web app on time, and within a very good budget.

The team had 7 people: An account manager, a project manager, a Ui/UX designer, a front end developer, a back end developer, a senior developer, and an QQ/QC person

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project exceeded our expectations, and we are able to meet a very aggressive deadline. We did exceed our initial budget, but this was largely due to the addition of new features mid-project, based on user feedback. We continue to gather significant user feedback, which is will be the basis of our 2.0 iteration.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was great, and followed a strict agile/scrum process. Very disciplined and very transparent, and allowed us to hit a very aggressive deadline

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Great team to work with, very professional and capable. They were easy to communicate with and delivered on their commitments. They are very flexible and willing to do what it takes to get the project done.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We had a few hiccups on mapping the design approval workflow, so making sure everyone understands that from the beginning would be helpful. Budgeting forecasts, always a tough thing, could be slightly improved. Ours was a very fluid project, and so this would have been tough in most cases.

I am the CTO of a cybersecurity IT solutions provider, building solutions using the power of blockchain technology.

For what projects/services did your company hire 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We needed an initial build out of our proofs of concept into MVCs, including building the foundation of an investment assurance platform (IAP), and the foundations of the first application built on the IAP. We had little resources available to us and turned to 10Clouds Financial Institutions to enable us to rapidly develop the solutions.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to build out the first iteration of the IAP, integrate it with Ethereum technology, and also to build the first application to run on the IAP as both an API and a web app.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I had already had a good experience with 10Clouds Financial Institutions at my previous company, so it was natural to choose them for this project. I knew they had the technical expertise to help us and would be able to build our solution quickly and professionally.

They built the IAP with C++ and Python scripts and built the API with Python Django and the web app with React. The aim was to make the concept a concrete demonstration and then build on it from there.

What was the team composition?

They provided three teams to work on each of the aspects of our project. One focused on blockchain (Ethereum DApps, C++, Python), one worked on the backend for the API (Python Django), and the third worked on the frontend (UI/UX, React.js). We worked with seven total resources, most of them full-time, including developers and managers. The teams were managed by a scrum master.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project quickly got us up to speed on our concept and helped us flesh out a lot of the initial concerns with the design. We had very little documentation when we started, and the great communication we had with all of the team members really helped solidify and expand on the concepts we were building.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed very effectively and efficiently by their scrum master, who organized a lot of the product backlog. We communicated through Jira and Slack and held weekly update meetings on Hangouts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their expertise is very strong, as well as their professionalism and ability to understand the job and work quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, none that I can think of.

I’m the founder and CEO of ipeak.io. We’re developing an app that creates personalized workouts for users in seconds.

Our app was still in the R&D phase, and we needed a senior software developer with expertise in machine learning.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, the sales team helped define the project’s scope. We had already developed and created the algorithm and backend structure to create the personalized workouts. 10Clouds Financial Institutions assigned a developer to improve and enhance this backend structure to house that algorithm. She helped create a system that performs efficiently.

We worked with one full-time developer who received support from both our internal team and the 10Clouds Financial Institutions team.

10Clouds Financial Institutions’ work brought us closer to an MVP of our app. They helped us reach important developmental milestones in creating our system.

Since we only worked with one developer, we didn’t utilize 110Clouds Financial Institutions' project management. However, the developer integrated well with our team. We used Slack for communication and Atlassian services such as Bitbucket to oversee code. These tools fit our tech stack and communication deck.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The developer delivered high-quality products on time and made for a pleasant and professional collaboration. She also had access to the larger 10Clouds Financial Institutions team and could rely on their knowledge base and resources at any time for no additional cost. Their sales department provided valuable guidance when we were defining specs. They suggested alternative ways to go about our processes and offered additional support throughout the collaboration.

I’m the COO of Wishu. We’re a mobile app that offers a peer-to-peer marketplace for requesting or offering talents and products, facilitated through in-app wallet transactions. I’m responsible for overseeing the further development of the app, manage the technicalities of the marketplace, and monitor the processes for growth.

We were in the process of developing the concept for the app and raising investments. We needed to find a team of developers who could understand our audience, security needs, and has experience in UX design.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the app to enable straightforward peer-to-peer transactions. Ultimately, we wanted to begin development early in the year and launch by summer, and modify based on user feedback.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found 10Clouds Financial Institutions online and compared their record against a dozen other developers. Based on the apps they created in the past, we chose them for the project.

Describe the project in detail.

We visited 10Clouds Financial Institutions’ office for a series of workshops with their development team to better explain our needs, business goals, and audience. We also elaborated on the features we wanted them to implement. A different company completed the app’s designs, so we shared those with the 10Clouds Financial Institutions team so they could create wireframes. They redesigned a few aspects of the original outline to match the new functionalities we desired. From there, we began our scrum sprints, including weekly demos and refinement meetings. They also contributed suggestions and feedback for each step. Their developers enabled in-app payment features, and they are currently providing further updates and developments to the post-launch app.

What was the team composition?

We work with two developers, one for the backend and one working on the frontend. We are also working with one UX and one UI specialists, one QA teammate, and a project manager. The size of the team remained consistent, but we did have new developers switching throughout the project, depending on the current needs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within the app's first month of being live, we’ve experienced a large influx in downloads and users. The final product has earned five stars in the App Store and has been named in the top 200 of lifestyle apps in the store. Additionally, we’ve been invited to several events and were featured on media platforms because of the app’s success. We continue to receive positive feedback from users. We’re highly pleased with their work so far.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicate and stay in-sync through Slack. We also use Google Hangouts for our weekly meetings and meet in their office occasionally for effective workshops. We’ve developed a professional and personal relationship with their team as they are fantastic and interactive when we meet face-to-face. It is my role as the product owner to ensure 10Clouds Financial Institutions understands all of our needs, and they prioritize productive meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I’ve found their response time to be valuable—they are always ready to answer questions and listen to my issues. Their development speed is helpful, as well. They are constantly available to start working on a new problem. Their team has a professional attitude and has a consistent way of handling development. With agile project management, there can sometimes be uncertainty, but 10Clouds Financial Institutions ensured the project ran smoothly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

When we switched from being agile to a fixed price model, we ran into a few issues distributing tasks within the team, so that process could use improvement for an easier transition. The price can also be daunting for an early-stage startup, but we value quality work to attract our users more than anything else.

I needed someone to help me develop software to handle automated detection for online learning. I wanted to make more sophisticated models of student knowledge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Using the scientifically developed models we already had prepared, 10Clouds Financial Institutions helped create a version that was deployment ready and more widely and quickly accessible. After I gave them the requirements and models, they built out the software.

10Clouds Financial Institutions designed the software to help nonprofits provide educational services to students. It implements a sophisticated algorithm in real time and connects to the learning system through an API. The learning system interacts with the model live to function as needed. The team developed the software used Java. For this project, we handled all of the UI/UX internally.

10Clouds Financial Institutions successfully completed the software we requested. It works as designed and intended. My client was happy with the results. 10Clouds Financial Institutions delivered a perfectly reliable product. We haven’t had any problems with it.

10Clouds was very efficient to work with, and our communication was great. We coordinated with weekly updates using Google Hangouts and email updates when feasible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The developer we worked with from 10Clouds Financial Institutions was impressively confident and picked up on concepts quickly. He put in a substantial effort and performed very high-quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There wasn’t a great payment system set up, so I had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to compensate the team for their work.

I’m the founder and CEO of a mobile investment platform for cryptocurrencies. Through our application, users can invest in a collection of cryptocurrencies, rather than buying a single asset.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

We wanted to simplify the investment process by creating the most fluid in-app experience using feedback gathered from UX/UI research. Ideally, the app needed a simple look, but something more than just a basic white-background application with minimal functionality.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by assembling the app’s design. After we collaborated on designs for every page in the application, 10Clouds Financial Institutions created the wireframes using Sketch and InVision. They implemented strategies that prioritized user experience, creating a unique and sharp platform that’s accessible for all of our users. Once we mapped each interface and the app’s operation flow, we transitioned into the development phase.

Currently, 10Clouds Financial Institutions is using native coding languages to build both an iOS and Android version of the platform. Once it’s finished and launched, users can download the app then begin our extensive sign-up process. Because we’re a financial service, our users have to verify their identity by uploading a picture of their license and inputting personal information. After registering, users are prompted to connect their bank account and make purchases from our base fund, which is populated by 20 different cryptocurrencies. Basically, users can translate their U.S. dollars to cryptocurrency, but instead of investing in one coin, they invest in 20 in one transaction.

What is the team composition?

We work with a scrum master, who heads up the project, an iOS developer, an Android developer, two backend developers, a part-time DevOps developer, a part-time QA developer, and two UX/UI designers.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

I found some of their design work on Dribbble and hired them to design my product. In that process, I realized that their team is very technically strong and transparent in their work. With that in mind, I also asked them to develop the application.

How much have you invested with them?

We started working together in February 2018.

What is the status of this engagement?

So far, we’ve spent $85,000, but I estimate the entire project will total over $300,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Because we haven’t launched yet, we don’t have any solid data. In terms of quality, our app’s user experience stands out among our industry competitors. The three-month period we spent on conceptualizing the aesthetic and operative flow was definitely worth it. We’re really impressed with the results so far.

As we move through development, 10Clouds Financial Institutions is quick to address any issues or bugs we encounter. They’re the most agile team of developers that I’ve ever worked with. They adjust quickly, communicate responsively, and work diligently.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

In the beginning, I mainly communicated with a project manager via Skype. Now I interact with my full team via Slack. We schedule a 15-minute group video call every day, with additional communication as necessary. We use Jira to manage our backlog and plan our schedules.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very skilled in terms of communication, agility, and technical ability. Through their work, we can tell that their team is fully engaged and invested in our vision. They continue to work very hard to assure they meet our standards.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve the accuracy of their time estimates. Development work is hard to predict, so sometimes we go a little over the initial deadline. I’ll also take some responsibility for this because we often make changes to the development schedule.

Any advice for potential customers?

No matter what stage a company is in, 10Clouds Financial Institutions offers beneficial solutions. Including both design and development, they cover every aspect needed to create a product. Their team’s agile approach and extensive skill range set them up to properly execute any project.

I am the director of Cereal Gaming, which hosts gaming tournaments and competitive gaming matchups.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

With 10Clouds Financial Institutions, we set out to design and develop a competitive gaming app that users can use to accept challenges and matchups against other gamers around the world.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the moment, it’s a mobile application only available for iOS and for users over 18 years old. I provided them with some semblance of wireframe sketches, but they had a more thorough knowledge of the software that I needed so that we could move forward. They broke down the specific features available within my budget. PayPal was incorporated into the initial build, but it later needed to be removed, which necessitated a second development phase.

What is the team composition?

At the peak of the project, we worked with a team of five people.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds Financial Institutions?

A friend recommended them to me. I spoke with a few local firms, but they weren’t appropriate fits. 10Clouds Financial Institutions was the best option because of the team they had available.

How much have you invested with them?

To this point, I have spent a little more than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The first phase of development lasted from July-November 2017. The second phase lasted from May-June 2018. We have plans to develop an Android iteration next year, if not at the end of this year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we began this project, there was no prominent app available for competitive gaming, but I believe we have addressed that need in the gaming community. The overall quality of the platform is excellent, and we’ve received very positive feedback from users, specifically about the design. It is not the biggest app, but it runs very smoothly.

How did 10Clouds Financial Institutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Because they are located in Poland and I’m in the UK, we anticipated an international or language barrier. We mitigated those concerns by discussing all details several times. My communication through Slack with the project manager and the development team was hassle-free.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understood my financial limitations with this project. There is no large funding stream behind me, but they worked with me to develop what I wanted. I appreciated their flexibility.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our opening brief needed to be a bit clearer as to the scope of the project.

Especially if it is somebody’s first time making an app, it is important to make sure the development process is clearly specified.
