We needed a team with deep Java experience to research, document, refactor, and build new features for a massive legacy codebase that had been built by multiple teams over many years using various technologies. There was no documentation and most of the original developers were no longer at the company.

10A approached the project with excellent communication and planning skills, assigned the right people to the job, worked fluidly with all team members, and executed a very difficult project over the span of a couple of years. The working environment included changes to the technical, product, and business teams, which 10A managed very well. It also included evolving goals, requirements, and technological changes, and at each step they performed at a very high level.

The platform was adapted for us - I mean the administration functions and some functions for our field team in the mobile app. We use some specific ways of reporting in our organization and it was needed to reflect them in the system. After all the technical work our team was trained by 10A.

The most important thing is that our team works faster now. They need significantly less time to report, managers can check their work in a real-time and react immediately. We know much more details about the situation in our network and can make smarter decisions.

Our company started integration of NPS Channels, with special dashboard, connecting customer reviews from different platforms (like chat, phonecalls, website, tablets, google). It's very important to have all customer opinions/reviews in one place, so the main challenge was the integration to one view/dashboard.

We had many successful meetings, and all of our suggestions were implemented; including graphics, charts etc. Good feedback gave us also many useful tips to organize our dashboards and to understand data we are collecting.

For what projects/services did your company hire 10A Software House, and what were your goals?

Oleofarm is a leading producer of dietary supplements in Poland and one of our important clients. Oleofarm's product portfolio consists of hundreds of items with loads of product and marketing content that has been scattered over dozens of websites and databases over the years.

The challenge we faced was to introduce consistency and combine all pages and content into one dedicated content system for easy content management, promotion and product development.

SOLUTION

How did you select 10A Software House and what were the deciding factors?

In the past, we were consulting 10A specialists on other projects. We ask them to propose an approach to this complex challenge. Based on their propositions of a strongly design-based process we decided to trust their offer.

The first stage of the project was the in-depth UX workshops prepared and conducted by 10A with the participation of us and the client's representatives.

The result was good cataloging and understanding of the initial state. In the next step, the content architecture was developed and user roles were defined for the Content Management System. Then the development of a dedicated platform based on WordPress with a dedicated theme written from scratch and dedicated extensions.

In the next stage, content migration and user training were carried out, and finally the production implementation and support.

Project Manager, UX Designer, UI/Graphic Designer, dedicated team of Developers (1x FullStack Wordpress, 1 x Frontend (js) , 1 x PHP Developer), content specialists for migration and manual content operations.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The whole project seemed to be very complex and difficult due to the need to involve many people and make numerous decisions, which will determine the scale of the technological challenge.

Nevertheless, the implementation was wisely estimated and then carried out as planned. The developed platform greatly organized the product content and made management easier.

The design stage was very inclusive and a lot of decisions were made at creative meetings, which minimized formalities, but at the same time was quite time-consuming. The development phase was managed internally by 10A Software House with regular statuses and progress presentations.

Great talent for breaking down very complex problems into individual components that can be named and then solved by dedicated technology.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the early stage after implementation, there were several requests on the part of the client to clarify the documentation and user manuals - especially for new employees. In this area, some onboarding videos for new users would be greatly appreciated.
