Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the Marketing Manager at WOKAS SA. We are a company specializing in the production of professional peat cover for growing mushrooms, as well as gardening substrates, decorations, and granulated and liquid fertilizers. Established in 1992, we quickly became one of the industry leaders.

Currently, we have seven production sets, for which raw materials are obtained from thirteen licensed peat bogs located in ecologically protected areas throughout Poland.

We were looking for a full-service agency that would plan and prepare a product launch and a 360° marketing campaign for our new brand - Wokas SMART. The scope of the project included: packaging design, strategy, web design, product catalog, online campaign, TV and print advertising, and mobile app development.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to launch our new product - Wokas SMART. We were looking for a partner that would create a fresh and creative concept for the packaging and will plan a 360° marketing campaign for us that would increase the awareness of the new brand.

I found a company on the internet. She had great reviews. We agreed to meet. We commissioned the project. The casing soils packaging design convinced us.

The 1000Ideas company has designed a new line of wokas Smart. They created a telephone application. They designed a new website. They conducted a campaign on television and the internet.

What was the team composition?

The team composition included about 10 people (8 on the creative side and 2 on the client-side).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to the campaign and new packaging, we have increased our brand recognition, which resulted in increased sales of our products. We got very positive feedback from our clients and business partners. We have reached our goals in terms of TV advertisement reach. Our packaging design won a Gold Medal during the International Garden and Landscape Architecture Fair Gardenia 2020 in Poznan, Poland.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The work was very effective. We worked with project managers that were responsible for a different scope of the work (e.g. packaging, online campaign, print, TV). We also had contact with account managers that gave us the overall picture of the whole process and kept an eye on everything.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am really impressed with their broad knowledge, creativity, and how they’ve handled the whole process. We really felt that we can count on them. The team always had an open mind and they were also curious about our ideas. The workflow was at the highest level.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, I think they did a great job.

We are a non-profit organization and our aim is to register potential stem cells donors who would like to help Patients in need of transplantation.

For what projects/services did your company hire 1000ideas?

We wanted to get to new groups in order to educate and inspire them to register as potential stem cell donors. We were looking for some fresh idea in order to transform our way of communication to get to tattoo lovers through tattoo artists.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase the registration of potential stem cells donors by telling people with tattoos that tattoo is not an obstacle and one can become a donor if he or she has tattoos (it is a common myth).

How did you select this vendor?

We knew the agency, because we cooperated with them while preparing an educational campaign on a big music festival last year. We were sure that they can adjust the communication to a certain group very well and are innovative, that is why we decided to work with them again in this project.

The agency's responsibility was to create a specific concept for the project, to prepare key visual, messages for communication, landing page content and the list of tattoo artist we can contact for the project.

What was the team composition?

I'm not sure how many people were involved in the project. I was mainly in contact with the account manager and at the early stage of the project with creative team as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The content prepared by the agency works very well with our style of communication and with the audience. I'm sure the outcome of the project will be very good, when we will launch (as it is still ahead of as).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication with the account manager was great. We were in a frequent contact and I felt like at all times we were on the same page, having in mind, what had already been done and what was to be finalized. We shared ideas and chose a path for the project together.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was counting on them on the creative side - the idea for the project, the content and key visual - and I am not disappointed. Everything goes very well together, it is consistent, innovative, and eye-catching.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At the beginning of the project I felt like they have not delivered ideas, but rather rephrase the brief we gave them. Nevertheless, when we met and discussed it in details what we need from them, they were able to deliver a fresh idea for the project.

We were looking for creative agency to promote one of our core products,  network. The scope of the work included an online campaign, landing page (copywriting and design), and print advertising.

The main purpose of cooperation was to create an original design for online campaigns and increase the recognition of the  network among our current and potential clients.

We have made an offer comparison of creative agencies via Internet and picked one of them to contact and delivered our brief. We have chosen them because of the ideas and solutions they have presented to us.

1000ideas supported us with creating an appealing concept of our advertising. It included the big idea, key visuals, planning of entire online campaign, production of materials for online purposes (banners, a landing page), and print advertising.

We mostly worked with the account manager. We also met the creative team during the presentation of the concepts and campaign summary.

The campaign and a landing page met our expectations and we reached our goals in terms of campaign effectiveness. We got very positive feedback from our clients.

The workflow was effective, the team was very responsive and quick in implementing our comments and suggestions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really admire the creativity of the whole team. The presented concepts showed the benefits of our product in an unobvious and unusual way. They are very friendly, professional, and easy to work with.

No, I can’t think of anything We are still working together and improving our cooperation.

We needed help with a refresh of our company website, as well as creating a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

1000ideas did everything related to website development. They worked with myself and my team on the design and the look and feel of both sites. They also built the pages, set up the hosting, and led other backend aspects. 

What is the team composition?

I have one main counterpart who I talked to, and he made it all happen. I don't know the extent of the team behind the scenes.

They were referred to me by a friend and colleague that worked with them extensively over the years. They came highly recommended.

I think we spent under $25,000 for both sites.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in Q4 of 2017, and they finished in May 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I continue to work with 1000ideas on other projects, so that speaks to their success. We're a small company, and all the partners are happy with both websites. The website refresh helps us come across as more credible with our clients, and even appear as larger than we are. 

The new website for our Gig Academy was delayed because of issues on our end. They finished the site in May, and we'll be starting it this year. 

How did 1000ideas perform from a project management standpoint? 

They’re super responsive. The communication was through regular calls over Skype, and then everything else was done by email. We had delays and some short timelines. They're flexible enough to meet both. Also, it's really nice to speak to just one person.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

1000ideas provides great value compared to other providers. The price matches the worth of the final products. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not for what we've asked them to do so far. We're set to work with them on an app, so we'll see how that goes. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

They’re excellent if you're looking to get up a nice web presence quickly. I can’t speak to their full range of services, but I recommend contacting them to scope out your project.
