Project Manager, Warner Music Group
- Industry: Arts, entertainment & music
- Client size: 1,001-5,000 Employees
- Review Type: Online Review
- Verified

**The Review** — May 4, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido completed the app ahead of the deadline, allowing ample time for thorough testing. They also successfully secured the App Store's approval less than 24 hours after submitting the app. The product itself exceeded the client's expectations and was well-received by the company's leadership.
""They not only delivered such a great, user-friendly app, they also paid a lot of attention to every detail.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the project manager at Warner Music Group.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop an internal app for our leadership conference. We hired Miquido to develop the entire app. Our goal was to create an interactive app, with heavy visuals, push notifications. We needed it to be user friendly too,

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for online app developers through our contacts. We shortlisted to 4. After speaking to Miquido, we decided to go with them based on their past projects, their costs, design capabilities and their teamwork/ expertise. They had a great dynamic, and knew exactly what we were envisioning to create from the moment we discussed and shared our brief.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a very specific idea of what we wanted the app to look like, and Miquido understood our vision and objectives straight away. So we didn't even have to spend too much time in discovery meetings. We provided them with our designs and they always incorporated every feedback we had and delivered revised versions.

One of the most crucial part of the project was going through our internal compliance and security protocols, and Miquido were on top of it every time, ensuring the app featured all those required specs. The app was then ready for app submission and we got less than 24h turnaround approval from the App Store.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with 1 account manager and predominately with 1 project manager and 2 app developers. They were just simply great with

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our leadership team were so impressed on how easy the app was to use. It actually exceeded all expectations!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The whole team was super easy to communicate with and extremely accessible for any little query we had! We had weekly meetings, and were speaking constantly on Slack. Everything was delivered within our tight timeline. They actually managed to deliver ahead of schedule, which as great, as that gave us enough time to test and make sure we were satisfied with all aspects of the app before going live on the App Store.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They not only delivered such a great, user-friendly app, they also paid a lot of attention to every detail. They really got involved in every aspect of the features of the app, and most importantly, they were always always available to answer us any questions we had

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really!

**The Review** — Jun 24, 2025

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Miquido's efforts, the client has met the deadline. The app has steadily grown in active users and daily registrations. Furthermore, the team has impressive project management skills and has shown great ability to accommodate changes. This has led to effective cooperation.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What specific goals or objectives did you hire Miquido to accomplish?Create an official app along with integrations in record time (2,5 months)Later on - create the long term vision for the appAlso - design, test and implement top of the line UX and UI

**SOLUTION**
How did you find Miquido?Offline referralWhy did you select Miquido over others?Great culture fitThey answered our brief in the most comprehensive wayHow many teammates from Miquido were assigned to this project?6-10 EmployeesDescribe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.Miquido provided interdisciplinary team and suggested technology (Flutter) to meet our deadline. Day to day cooperation was spot on, with quite accurate and detailed roadmaps and gantts. The work was done in scrum, on commonly used tools (Slack, Confluence, JIRA). We were informed by risks very early on and at least two times it gave us a chance to react and save the deadline. The app was delivered exactly on the day it was promised. From this day we started working on next iterations and new integrations. At some point the need emerged to design new UX/UI and to make it top of the line. The company was happy with the design and it's being implemented now, along with big increment in functionality.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?First of all it was meeting the deadline, which was a great challenge. The app had at least a few custom integrations, one of which being the system to verify user's data using his bank account credentials (mojeID). These things don't just happen overnight, but need great effort, perfect coordination and meeting numerous security requirements. Also - we're at the stage before big marketing efforts. The app steadily grows in Active Users and daily registrations, despite no paid marketing and active communication. It's 100% organic growth, based only on word of mouth marketing. This proves we're, along with Miquido, doing something right.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs? This is one of, or the one most impressive quality of this cooperation. They somehow cracked the previously unresolvable problem of roadmapping uncertain future. Of course, it was not 100% accurate and yes, we were making decisions to change scope from time to time, but still, even early assumptions on workload and resulting gantts didn't need to be updated all that much. What was your primary form of communication with Miquido?Virtual MeetingWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company? They weren't afraid of pivots. No one likes them all that much, but we learned that if change really happens, Miquido is able to quickly accomodate to it and lead us through the re-scoping process. Also, even going through such emotionally straining situations, we were able to keep the cooperation professional and respectful, with end goal in mind. Are there any areas for improvement or something Miquido could have done differently?Even the areas they excel in, they should try to make even better. But are there any areas we are struggling with when cooperating with Miquido, I really can't think of any. They are very good.

Please include a summary of key deliverables.SwiftPay is a payment gateway facilitating everyday purchases for residents of the Philippines. Due to high fees charged by card operators, owners of small businesses accept payments through direct transfer - the most common payment method is by scanning static QR codes that are printed on paper. These codes contain information that facilitates an instant bank-to-bank transfer to the merchant, such as the merchant name, account number, and bank name. However, this solution does not protect the interests of the seller or the buyer - the main assumption here is the honesty of both parties, as there is no transactional model, and until the seller receives the payment, they cannot check its status or amount. SwiftPay leverages this payment system familiar to Filipinos and elevates it to a higher level, providing both parties with a sense of transaction security: Merchants generate unique transactions hidden behind QR codes, which users can scan and make payments. SwiftPay also provides various types of settlement reports showing all the transactions processed via Swiftpay on a daily basis, which can be used to compare with the transactions recorded in their stores and help merchants run their business. The buyer scans the QR code, then chooses the bank where they have an account and from which the payment will be made to the merchant.

**The Review** — Nov 25, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido's candidates were highly experienced and fit for their project. They also had invaluable teams handling Flutter and React Native development projects. Despite the project's complexity, the vendor also made engagement easy for the client.
""We found the developers to be highly experienced and qualified.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm a Senior Director of Mobile Engineering at Fueled which is a an award winning app development company with headquarter in NYC.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We were hired by Fennel Markets to build an app that brings the power of algorithmic trading and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to retail traders. The app allows users to invest in companies that align with their beliefs by incorporating the companies’ Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) score and giving traders a shareholder voice by aggregating opinions on issues they care about. We hired Miquido to bring in their Flutter developers to join our team and speed up the development process and meet an aggressive launch deadline.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We shortlisted a couple of agencies based on the portfolio and interviewed candidates recommended by them. We found Miquido's team members to be highly experienced and fit for the project.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Fueled and Miquido teams met a couple of times to discuss the project in detail before the project kicked off to ensure quick onboarding of folks. The mobile apps were built on Flutter and the aim was to build a MVP that would allow users to create their profile, define their ESG goals, and look for companies that aligns with their ESG goals along with (stock) market history for all such companies.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with 2 Flutter developers from Miquido team. Since we were supporting both iOS and Android, we had requested Miquido to provide us with candidates that have some experience with both the technologies. After interviewing with a couple of candidates, we went forward with one Flutter Developer having prior Android experience, and Senior Flutter Developer having prior iOS experience.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We found the developers to be highly experienced and qualified. Although the app was launched internally but we could see the code quality matched our standards. Miquido team also took initiative to upgrade the packages/pubs to newer versions, adding static analysis to the project and that helped improve the overall quality and stability of the codebase, which was clearly evident in the reduced number of bugs and incidents.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We didn't interact much with the project managers. Both the developers were onboarded on Fueled's internal communication tools (Slack, Linear, GSuite) to discuss the timelines and goals, and that worked really well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were really impressed with both the developers. It's never easy joining an external team and follow processes and guidelines set which might or might not be same as they must be used to, but collaboration with both the developers was a breeze. Both the developers were highly skilled and experienced with Flutter but also had native Android and iOS experience which was a great plus. We interviewed a lot of candidates from other agencies but it was really difficult for us to find candidates that had both Flutter and native experience, and that's what I find impressive and unique about Miquido.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were a couple of resourcing challenges in the beginning where our team was not fully aware of availability (fully or partially available) of the resources in advance, but once the developers were onboarded they did an amazing job flagging any downtime from their side.

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido’s development capabilities have exceeded expectations. In fact, their apps have earned 6 million users. The team is transparent, flexible, and diligent in their work, making them a reliable and trustworthy partner. They've kept their communication open, straightforward, and up to date.
""They are a business partner that we feel like we can 100% rely on.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am IT Project Manager at P4 Sp. z .o.o. ( Play Group) responsible for the development for mobile and web applications. P4 Sp. z. o.o. is one of the biggest telecommunications company in Poland with about 15 million active customers.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We hired Miquido for the purpose of building a mobile solution for Play’s clients, which we planned to create for both iOS and Android separately. Our goal was to shift the company to a mobile-first approach, so that our customers could manage their accounts directly from the app, without having to enter the website, and in turn make our offer more accessible for end-users.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We started the project 10 years ago when businesses were only beginning to understand the importance of mobile apps. As such, we were looking for a company specialising in mobile development that would help us create something truly useful for our users. We were very impressed by Miquido’s portfolio even at that time, and they struck us as a company with lots of potential in the field of mobile development.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Miquido was tasked with creating two separate, native applications for both iOS and Android. Their team is responsible for developing all the apps’ functionalities, the design system, implementing the UI, animations, and creating the payment system for users. They are also in charge of manual and automated QA tests. The project is still ongoing, with Miquido’s team working alongside a different vendor who is responsible for the apps’ backend. It’s a very unique type of cooperation, where three companies (Play included) are working together as one solid team to deliver a single project. The entire team uses a Scrum methodology, which is strictly followed by all members.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

During the course of Miquido’s work on the project, the number of people dedicated to it changed, reaching up to a maximum of 20 specialists. The company provided us with iOS and Android developers, QA testers, a Scrum Master and a project coordinator.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Play24 was developed by Miquido’s team from scratch and is currently used by about 6 millions of users, making it one of the main options on the market. Both the Android and iOS apps are very highly rated by users in AppStore and Google Play, and the quality of the delivered functionalities is always impeccable. We strongly appreciate the transparency of the team, and their ideas not only related to tech, but also the business side of things, which made for significant improvements to the process as a whole.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Miquido’s dedication to project management has always impressed us. They put a lot of effort into making sure that the Agile principles are followed every step of the way, and the team is always thinking of ways to speed up or refine the process. They are a business partner that we feel like we can 100% rely on.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Miquido’s dedication to the project, honesty and transparency is what’s truly unique about them. The team keeps an open mind about any arising issues, always willing to look for specific solutions to solve them. They make sure to keep the communication with us open and straightforward, and keep us up to date with everything they’re currently doing, so we’re always fully informed about what’s going on. We also find their team to be super flexible when it comes to meeting our expectations and very creative in suggesting ideas for improvements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really!

CEO & Co-Founder, Cerdio
- Industry: Other industries

- Client size: 1-10 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Apr 25, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The client was very satisfied with Miquido’s performance. The team was hands-on and acted like partners rather than third-party vendors. Project management was fluid and highly integrated, with the client having full visibility and access. Overall, they went above and beyond.
""The Miquido team was really easy to work with and had solid experience under their belt.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the current director and one of the co-founders of Cerdio and came from a consulting and finance background. The company had its origins in April 2020 in helping medical laboratories deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically in the operations & IT space.

We started with a consulting project, but quickly realised that there was a wider business case for this. We were very lucky to have been able to partner with a large medical laboratory conglomerate in Asia-Pacific early on. The switch from providing consulting services to setting up a company geared towards this challenge came naturally.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

In early 2020 time really was of the essence. Laboratories were scrambling to respond to the pandemic. Historically their clients were doctors or hospitals who would send hundreds or thousands of samples. Suddenly, not only did the number of a specific test that they had to run explode but they also had to deal with individuals who wanted to get a PCR or antibody test. Naturally, the labs' administrative workload increased exponentially, which exacerbated the challenge they faced.

But not only that, when recent negative tests became required for certain actions, reports that people had manipulated their results came in. People would often receive their test results as a simple PDF document, so all they had to do was to change the name or the date. Counterfeit security simply did not exist. This presented a challenge for laboratories, as it could obviously result in very bad PR, but also for governments grappling with controlling the spread early on.

We identified an opportunity there in really focusing on the customer experience and making it effortless. The goal was to provide a turn-key solution that handled the entire customer journey from looking to get tested to having the test result verified as genuine by a third party. We had to set up shop quickly, so our challenge was getting a technology and development team up and running in an exceptionally short timeframe. We knew from the get-go that we needed a highly capable partner with relevant experience to help us with the entire suite of problems that our clients were facing.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Together with our partners we initially identified the authentication solution as the most pressing need. The solution needed to be multi-platform, mobile and inclusive. We started with this broad concept based on our customers' business challenges. Miquido provided an entire range of services, starting from the initial workshops to figure out what the MVP would be and its associated development timeline. The core team on our side consisted of 4–5 people, so the scope of Miquido’s involvement was substantial.

Miquido supported us throughout the entire project. We came to them with an initial vision and concept of how authentication would work not only complying with the letter but also the spirit of data protection regulation across the world. We had multiple workshops with selected stakeholders to determine product details and timelines. Miquido’s design team came up with an excellent set of wireframes and throughout the project, we had a close-knit and agile development process.

The project encompassed back-ends deployed locally and in the cloud as well as front-ends on mobile and web. They really needed to be full service.

By the end of Miquido’s engagement, we had successfully launched the authentication application on iOS and Android as well as a web booking platform integrated with laboratories.

What is the team composition?

We outsourced practically the entire technology design and development functions to Miquido. They supported us with one UX/UI designer, between 2-4 developers, a project manager, and a QA person.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We didn’t have all the required capabilities in-house and we needed to get this project off the ground quickly, which narrowed it down to a few providers. We set up meetings with this short-list, who sent us marketing materials from previous projects with relevance to our needs. Our decision was based on a providers ability to start quickly, the quality of their prior work, and their experience in healthcare and financial services due to the sensitivity of the data we would come in contact with. Since the whole project was based on increasing trust, the technology and the development team had to be very trustworthy. In addition, we faced a very stringent regulatory regime.

Miquido had successfully completed a number of prior healthcare and financial services projects. We had many conversations with their Account Executive and members of the team who were involved in these projects. This inspired a lot of confidence on our side.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent roughly $160,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started talking to Miquido in May 2020 and worked with them through to February 2021. In the final stages we began to move functions in-house, which is where we are today.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A bit of background, while our paying customers are laboratories, the majority of the end users of the platform were the labs customers who would interact with our platform. We had two main goals; firstly to streamline the whole process to help labs and their staff alleviate their pain points; secondly a very intuitive customer journey for for the end customer, who for example wanted get a test for travel. Thus intuitive design and ease of use, was our success metric for how everything needed to be set up. Additionally speed to deployment was crucial for us — those two points were the ones that would shine over everything else.

In general, the entire process was very hands-on. We had multiple daily touch-points, and our teams were highly integrated. It felt like we were one working organisation despite Miquido being an external service provider. From that perspective, we were really happy with them. They weren’t the cheap, but quality has a price, and they did excellent work.

Aside from that, it was challenging for them because we were a startup in a rapidly evolving space. There were times when we needed something to be done quickly, and they stepped up to deliver. There were multiple occasions where it was crunch time, and they really delivered. Despite them being external, they pulled their weight, put in the effort as if they were part of the startup core team. We were very pleased with that and the design, feel and flow of the product. They did a great job.

We closed a licensing deal in Asia in 2021. In Europe, we’ve focused on the booking platform and it’s the business we’re engaged in now. We have a very low rate of customers needing support, which speaks to the quality of the product.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, project management was good. We had to shift the goalposts a few time, as it was a fluid engagement, so naturally there were challenges. Despite this they met the vast majority of deadlines, and the ones that weren’t met had low priority. That’s just part and parcel of a fast evolving young business.

They set up a whole suite of project management tools that they made available to us. Amongst others we used Google Meets, Drive, Jira, Miro, Slack, and Gitlab. Essentially we were fully plugged into the process, we had full access, and multiple touch-points. On top of that we had calls and workshops for specific issues, as well as a scheduled weekly call to discuss progress and prioritisation. Overall, we were plugged into the whole development cycle.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Miquido team was really easy to work with and had solid experience under their belt. Above all, they viewed themselves as part of the startup team, which I thought was extraordinary. We didn’t expect them to feel and act that way. We rate that very highly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As it was a longer project and we worked together in a highly integrated fashion, we knew the Miquido team working on the project very well. Unfortunately one of their developers decided to leave the company. From a communications and planning perspective, it would’ve been good for us to have been made aware of this earlier. Overall, it didn’t have too much of an impact on the project as they immediately put someone else on the team. However, had we known sooner it would have made things easier.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you are super involved with the team. Get to know them, stay on top, be involved, and have open lines of communication. They're great to work with and it will pay dividends.

**Feedback Summary**: The apps developed by Miquido are now being enjoyed by several thousand users. On top of having four-star ratings on app stores, the applications have also garnered an award in Poland. The team continues to perfect their processes and uphold process transparency, which the client highly appreciates.
""They’re talented, hardworking, and reliable. They don’t hesitate to work until the job is done.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the technical project manager at Passbolt, a security solution startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed help with mobile app development because we didn’t have the resources in-house.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido built our Android and iOS mobile apps. We did an analysis of how we wanted to build the application before we got in touch with them, and we also provided them with the full API documentation as well as the security concept for the web app. They then created a proof of concept. Once we were able to assess their technical capacity, we started building both apps.

For both applications, Miquido used native languages. They used Kotlin for the Android app and Swift for the iOS app. They built features that can allow users to create, fetch, and use passwords within the mobile and web applications.

They initially proposed a UI/UX design for both apps, but after 25% of the project was done, we took over that part. We also developed the web app in-house.

What is the team composition?

There’s a project manager, a QA, two iOS developers, and two Android developers. After they delivered the first version at the beginning of 2022, we scaled down the team. Now, we’re only working with a project manager, a QA, and one developer for each platform.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We were in contact with another company, but it was bought out by an American company. They recommended Miquido to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested over €200,000 (approximately $218,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since launching the apps at the beginning of this year, we’ve secured a couple thousand users. We’ve also received an average of four stars in both app stores, which means users really like the experience so far. The apps also won an award in Poland for being the best business mobile application of the year.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

We have an agile collaboration. Tthere was some initial friction and mistakes in terms of the project estimates, but we’ve since learned and made more accurate estimates. That being said, our collaboration is great. We use ClickUp, and we have daily standups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re talented, hardworking, and reliable. They don’t hesitate to work until the job is done. There is full transparency between the Miquido team and our team, and we really like working with them. We feel that they take pride in what they’re making.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had an issue with the initial estimate of the product, but they’ve been very keen to accept feedback and improve their services. Once certain tweaks were made, our collaboration has gotten better. Now, I have no constructive feedback for the team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re looking for serious engineers to build a mobile application, I recommend working with them. They are a team you can entrust with a complex project. They’re very pleasant to work with.

""Not only are they knowledgeable in their craft, but they've also done an amazing job of teaching us along the way.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of a sports tech company headquartered in Philadelphia.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We wanted to create a mobile app for both iOS and Android that was both easy to use and was the manifestation of the exact idea.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Miquido through an app development broker named Pangea (formerly known as Digital Knights) after interviewing 5 different vendors.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a number of workshops that led to us creating many user stories and different wireframes. The idea was to have an MVP that would take too much time for a competitor to copy. So there are many different features within the app that required different technologies and third-party companies to be implemented into this app. A landing page and branding were also done in-house.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was and continues to be our main point of contact throughout this development. Throughout the time there would be a need for more resources but on average there were about 10–15 people working on the team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are still in development but one thing that should be noted is how amazing Miquido is at sharing a vision in an idea and making it come to life both in the way it looks and the way that it feels. This has been shown in every demo meeting.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

It is very easy to get in contact with the project manager through Slack and email. They are very flexible when it comes to setting times for meetings as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Not only are they knowledgeable in their craft, but they've also done an amazing job of teaching us along the way. Just being able to communicate with them as peers despite any disagreement or brainstorming sessions made it a very comfortable environment.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only improvement I have in mind is a more in-depth initial workshop to estimate the potential need for certain required implementations that would come up in later stages in development. This way companies that don’t have a large budget can better understand how big or small they can go with development.

**The Review** — Dec 7, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido's efforts have streamlined the client's development and planning operations, and the client has seen a remarkable increase in their app's downloads, activations, and retention. They impress with their flexibility, consistency, quick turnaround time, and ability to onboard rapidly.
""Not only are they fast, reliable, flexible, and consistent, but they are also excellent communicators.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Product Manager for the Dolby On apps at Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We wanted to maintain the Dolby On apps as well as enhance the experience and develop new features. We also wanted to experiment with new and emerging Dolby technologies in the mobile application space, through the creation of POC's.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

In the past, Dolby On worked with a competitor to Miquido. When this resource became unavailable, the competitor highly recommended Miquido as a compatible resourse. After meeting with Miqudo, we decided to set up a short-term trial. In the trial phase, the team performed above and beyond our expectations. We proceeded with a long-term partnership.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

When Miqudo onboarded, it took less than 1 month for the team to become fully acclimated. My team and I were very impressed with Miquido's ability to onboard rapidly and become familiar with our applications and technologies.

Miquido was tasked with maintaining development work on the Dolby On iOS and Android apps, support analytics, development program management, the launch of a new internal POC, testing and QA, bug triage and fixes, integration with Dolby owned API's, as well as UX design.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was assigned to lead the cross-functional collaboration. The project manager has been our main point of contact. We also interact daily with the lead iOS and Android engineer, Ux designer, and DevOps engineer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since Miquido began working with us, we've seen a sizable increase in downloads, activations, and increased retention. Our release schedule has reached a more timely, dependable, and productive cadence.

Our overall development and planning operations have drastically improved, and now serve as an example for other development teams in our organization. Lastly, the overall look and feel, as well as usability has dramatically improved due to the time and attention from UX and dev leads.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project management from Miquidio is absolutely excellent. Not only are they fast, reliable, flexible, and consistent, but they are also excellent communicators and teachers. My team and I have learned so many new skills and approaches thanks to the help of our Miquido PM.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their deep knowledge of mobile development and attention to future trends has really impressed us. Most of all, we are constantly impressed by how dedicated our Miqudio partners are to the success of our apps and greater business as a whole.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our Miquido team has surpassed all expectations thus far.

**The Review** — Nov 15, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The Miquido team achieved all of their deliverables on budget and the resulting app, which is currently available on both the Google and Apple stores, is performing better than ever. The company was most impressed with the team's desire management of budget and resources for the project.
""Working with Miquido was like having an in-house team that genuinely wanted to keep things lean and efficient.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

We were seeking a reliable software development house having had a number of false starts / problems with other agencies. Our experiences with agencies have generally been poor with each previous agency prioritising their own needs above ours.

Miquido were exceptional because they truly took time to understand our needs and our budget considerations. They demonstrated a truly customer-centric approach that we just haven't experienced elsewhere.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

End to end development of a mobile application that requires CMS control on our side.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

During the initial discussions with Miquido, we were reassured by their desire to genuinely prioritise our needs and address our concerns about working with agencies. They seemed to genuinely want to do the right thing by us as a company rather than just using up our budget.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Miquido recommended a low-code approach, relying on the existing solutions whenever possible instead of coding everything from scratch. That’s why there are many technologies involved in the final version of the app: it is using Firebase for authentication, data storage, and app management;

Contentful is used as the main CMS; MixPanel gathers user data. In order to provide an effective cross-platform solution, we’ve decided to go with the reliable React Native. This way the final product is not limited in any way and is capable of functioning both on- and offline.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Miquido’s team for this project has been pretty tight. We had 2 React Native developers engaged full time, as well as one tester and a project manager involved 50% of the time. Nevertheless, they were able to complete the basic requirements in 7 weeks.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The app is already available in Google Play and App Store. All deliverables were achieved under budget and our app is performing better than ever.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Project management was very slick and seamless and we never had to worry about delays or poor communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As above, there was a genuine customer-centric approach, a desire to not waste budget and resources, and a "start-up friendly" approach. Working with Miquido was like having an in-house team that genuinely wanted to keep things lean and efficient. All other agencies we've worked with failed to deliver such an excellent service.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido has become a trusted partner for the client. They met expectations, providing helpful insights and delivering on promises. Their team is full of skilled and organized engineers. Customers can expect a flexible and transparent team.
""They were well structured and organized.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of a startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We had a bad experience with another provider trying to bootstrap our product, so we needed another company to pick up where they left off.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido served as consultants when it came to rearchitecting what we had. We asked for an initial assessment of our current state. We knew it internally, but we wanted it verified with them to see what they’d suggest. The report was accurate and spot on.

We then initiated the first phase, which was to build the components library for a Flutter application. Then, we moved onto getting more developers on board from them and integrating the UI library with the rest of the app. We provided the content, visuals, and layout while they just helped with the actual development.

They also helped clean up the legacy codes that we had in place. We then added QA to the mix because we had a lot of trouble getting it in a stable state. They continued to help us with that.

We received web expertise from them as well. They took a lot of responsibility and ownership on both QA and engineering. They helped us implement the actual changes. On the QA, they helped us identify logical, product-wise issues and implementation issues.

Now we’re launching in the app stores. The app is for iOS and Android. We expect to get a little more help from Miquido.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we had two people on the engineering side, but we increased that team to three. We also have two QA people.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

Miquido was recommended to us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2021, and we extended our partnership to August.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Miquido is hands-on with all aspects of the project. They provide a lot of help, and they’ve been doing a good job. Their developers are knowledgeable. We had bad experiences working with consultancies in the past, but Miquido is great at assigning resources. It’s been a positive experience, and we didn’t have any complaints.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management isn’t something they help us with. It comes from our side. We didn’t have any issues with getting them up to speed. We work in a scrum methodology. It wasn’t difficult for us to explain everything to them, and they adapted.

Their team delivered as promised except for cases with unforeseen issues like COVID-19. They were always professional. We communicate through Slack and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Miquido didn’t try to oversell themselves, which is something that frequently happens with other agencies. They were well structured and organized.

We made it clear that we were using Angular, but they didn’t have a lot of expertise in-house. Miquido went out of their way to help us find solutions. We ended up hiring in-house for that, but they were honest that they didn’t have that expertise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They had some policies regarding when meetings should happen or how they should be that didn’t fit our way of working. It’s not a bad thing, but I’d expect them to be able to have solutions for how to cope with it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communication is key. They have good people. If I had to compare them with the previous agency or other agencies we’ve worked with before, they don’t try to escape blame.

Their team is super flexible. They understand the product and give you the people to build it as if they were part of your team. You should treat them as if they’re part of your team.

Miquido's excellent project management and constant engagement with the client proved critical to the project's success.
""Miquido's project management was incredibly collaborative and open."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Chief Operating Officer of a software development and IT services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

We hired Miquido to develop a pair of mobile applications and a web interface to assist our customers manage vehicle queues.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Miquido had really great experience and past performance. This experience was combined with a sound planning and execution methodology, a culture of delivery, and reasonable prices. We wanted to make sure that the new capability fit seamlessly into our normal engineering operation and maintenance model - Miquido offered the ability to do that without significant technological change.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Miquido developed two mobile applications (in both iOS and Android) and a web interface - all of which are linked together. Everything was built in AWS.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Throughout the project, twelve individuals contributed to the effort. We had a full complement of resources applied to the team. This included a program manager, designers, front end developers, backend developers, DevOps engineers, Quality Assurance, and architects.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were of high quality and met the intended purpose/expectations. We were very concerned about intuitive design given our diverse customer base and the deliverables have received significant positive feedback for simple, clear, and intuitive operations. More complicated aspects of the application (geolocation and automated queueing logic) were developed soundly.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Miquido's project management was incredibly collaborative and open. Development tools were shared between their team and our managers. They were very clear at the beginning that our constant engagement would be a key factor in success and made sure that everything was transparent and timely. We finished on time and on budget. I always knew that I could get an answer back very quickly should I have one.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to quickly synthesize the problem, break it down into management requirements, and then deliver according to their plan was amazing. There were no games and/or efforts to broaden scope - you got what they said they would deliver. Even though we build software as a core function of our business, we learned some from the Miquido processes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly can't think of anything to constructively offer.

""Their team empowered us to move forward with our business by building the product that we envisioned."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of a social networking platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed their team to help us build our MVP.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido did full-stack development and built our MVP for native iOS. We started by providing them our vision and preparing the wireframes, and they then helped us flesh out our ideas until we were ready for the development and implementation stages. They designed the app's UI in collaboration with our internal team and took over the in-app design. Our MVP is built to be user-generated content (UGC)-enabled.

We just launched the product last April 2021, and Miquido continues to build solutions to help us improve our platform.

What is the team composition?

We work with Mike (iOS Developer & Project Manager), a quality analyst, two frontend and two backend developers, and an account manager. Their assigned resources vary depending on the task they have to take on.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

Miquido was recommended to us by a recruiter in our area. We then spoke with their team and went to Poland for an exploratory meeting, discussing scope, price, etc. We felt confident that they could efficiently handle the project, so hiring them was an easy decision to make.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent $300,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began in October 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just launched our product after pausing operations due to the pandemic, but we've already received positive feedback from users and external developers. Miquido has utilized solutions that highlight our map-related app features, which others had told us not to use because they could be too difficult. While we encounter a few bugs and issues now and then, none of these remain unresolved.

I'm confident that Miquido's work will help our business reach greater heights — their team empowered us to move forward with our business by building the product that we envisioned.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate via Slack and Google Hangouts. Miquido has reliable project management skills. I'm especially impressed with Mike's capacity to simplify technical language for our team to understand — it shows how well they manage their clients. Their involvement helps us not to feel isolated in any phase of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Miquido goes above and beyond their technical expertise to deliver what we need. They're a team of positive, hard-working people who communicate well with us despite our language barriers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We've had to deal with the removal of our senior developers twice, one being more detrimental than the other. Miquido could fine-tune their structure around communicating with clients and preparing them for the removal or movement of resources to ensure that all deadlines are met without hurdles.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The more prepared you are, the better the engagement will go. Be sure to break down your timeline, vision, and expectations — Miquido will take it from there and deliver what you want.

Partner, Mobile Application App

Retail

1001-10,000 Employees

Warsaw, Poland

$200,000 to $999,999

May 2017 - Ongoing

Project summary:

Miquido provides mobile application development, working on native iOS and Android apps. Basing the backend on the company’s website, they’ve developed e-commerce, e-book, and download features.

Feedback summary:

Having launched in late 2017, the apps have received more than 300,000 downloads and excellent ratings on the respective app stores. The team is devoted and consistent but could improve their communication and level of proactiveness in terms of contributing ideas.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a partner of a mobile application devoted to selling e-books and audiobooks in Poland.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed someone to build our app from scratch. It’s for buying, reading e-books, and listening to audio books.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided full documentation and specifications before they began, then they were responsible for the native iOS and Android application development, basing the backend on our current website.

It features a shop where users can buy and download the products, and there is also a subscription service for which they developed the module. The third component is the e-book reader, where users can open the files they’ve purchased either individually or within the subscription. The last part is the audiobook player, with lots of its own specific features.

We’re slowly moving some of the technology competencies in-house, but we are still doing full-on development with Miquido. They’re releasing new features every two weeks for both platforms.

What is the team composition?

We have a full mobile development team, including two Android developers, two iOS developers, a mobile tester, a UI/UX designer, and one project manager.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I joined the company after the cooperation started. They received two or three offers from the top software houses in Poland, and Miquido’s was the best.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2017 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The apps have been live since November 2017. We’ve had more than 300,000 downloads of the app within a year and three months and we have 65,000 active users each month. We get loads of feedback—our rating in the App Store is 4.6 and in the Play Store it’s 4.4.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m very happy with the cooperation. It was tricky because we’re a big organization that isn’t technology focused. There are loads of different stakeholders on our side and they’re not in our offices, so sometimes that’s hard to navigate. There are some communication issues from time to time as with all outsourced teams, but nothing major. We communicate with Jira, Slack, and Confluence.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is devoted to the project and there haven’t been any huge changes. They rotate the employees. Even if there are replacements, they’re made in a timely manner and are good. I’m impressed with their HR and how they manage to retain talent on their side.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their level of proactiveness could be improved as, generally, they’re a bit passive. They leave it for the customer to decide when something is not the best scenario, but they should be more vocal and share the risks associated with certain practices. They could also offer more insight into the best way forward.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

No.

""It’s inspiring to work with Miquido because of their impressive work ethic."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a startup focused on the creation of a mapping application. We provide a platform for users to create custom maps. It also enables the creation of communities and discussion boards on the maps.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

Having an office in New York with all in-house developers was extremely costly for a startup. We were still not generating revenue, but costs were really racking up and progress was slow. We didn’t have all the essential members we needed and wanted to complete the team structure.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we wanted was to see whether our in-house product could be repaired and launched by them. Otherwise, we’d have to overhaul the code, start from scratch, and fulfill our patent through a new product.

Miquido provided a very detailed estimate and code review. The review took about five days and gave us a lot of annotations on our front- and backend code. Their recommendation was to overhaul the code, as it would be more cost-effective and scalable for us.

We started wireframing from there. The head designer of the company sat with us, along with frontend and backend experts. They helped us understand challenges that very developers in the US couldn’t figure out.

What is the team composition?

We visited them on-site and were met with representatives of each department of their team: someone from sales, the design lead, the backend development team, and a DevOps engineer.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

The first reach-out was by us, through Clutch. We aggregated a list of about 40 companies from the site, based on the feedback of other users and the companies’ reputations. We used that for our decision-making, since we couldn’t fly all over the world and meet people personally.

Miquido reached out to us in less than a few hours, and we started a discussion from that moment on. We set up a call with one of the founders of the company to understand a bit more about them. We didn’t want to just talk with a member of the sales team.

We were invited to come to Poland if we wished to and were also told that one of Miquido’s managers was in the US and would be happy to discuss the project with us in person. We invited him to our office and shared a bit about the challenges we were going through.

We also visited them in Poland and were impressed with their city, office, and team. Their entire team is several hundred people. Members of their top management, a project manager, designers, and frontend and backend experts were all present to listen to our challenges and goals for the app development.

We felt reassured by their in-house team, confident they wouldn’t outsource to other developers.

The process started with an intensive two-day workshop, to get a better scope and a more accurate estimate. We were then given three price points, which was very useful. It enabled us to benchmark Miquido’s offer against other companies and strategize our development efforts as we were seeking funding.

The versions of their offer were: almost everything we wanted, exactly what we wanted, and what we wanted along with what Miquido thought would benefit us. We ended up going with the last custom offer because it met most of our goals.

We chose them based on their reputation on Clutch and on other sites generally, as well as past projects in their portfolio. Miquido was happy to highlight past projects both in Poland and for international companies, all of which were impressive. It didn’t seem like being in the US would be a challenge whatsoever.

Another important reason for hiring them was that their CTO suggested a lot of cutting-edge ideas, which would save us money down the line. It made us feel like they weren’t trying to get as much money as possible out of us, but would rather see us succeed in a long-term partnership. When I asked why they didn’t want our money, they were adamant that startups shouldn’t waste money before testing their products.

I could really connect with their mentality and honesty. I appreciate when people are being genuine and honest in the business world because it’s rare.

We engaged them pre-COVID, before we were all working from home, and having every single one of their members in one facility was a rare for a software house. They had software designers, web, iOS, and Android developers all in one house.

Lastly, they had super impressive offices, and everyone there seemed really happy. Their services weren’t expensive, and their team seemed happier than others I considered.

Another company we reached out to said that they would do a code review by a certain date and didn’t meet that date. It was late by only four days, but it made me think that I could expect similar delays later on in the project. The quick response from Miquido was a big reason for going with them. They delivered quickly from the start.

How much have you invested with them?

The expenditure for our initial project was just shy of $500,000. We’ve spent another $60,000 since then, and I expect to spend another $200,000. We’ve raised more funds and are not slowing down at all.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in September 2019. The website and the first MVP were delivered in December 2020. We’re working on another project with them at the moment.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The amount of work delivered and tested in the sprints is remarkable. Miquido even revised and fixed our previous app, which we needed for internal reasons. That was a challenge that no other company could accomplish. We were able to secure more funds thanks to Miquido’s designs.

Even though it wasn’t included in the work scope, Miquido provided us with some valuable, actionable SEO metrics through their internal data scientists. Since then, we’ve had a 400% increase in the organic traffic to our website and a lot of interest in signups.

We’re not even promoting this yet, so the results are great. Using analytics and data has really helped.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve worked for and owned other companies, and good work ethic can be rare. It’s inspiring to work with Miquido because of their impressive work ethic.

We communicated daily on Slack, Google Hangouts, and email. When we were at their office, we had daily stand-ups. They even had space for us to set up private offices at their location.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Miquido has very competitive pricing, and all the services needed for development, from UI/UX designers to specialized Flutter or React Native developers. Miquido has a very high standard for whom they hire. They don’t hire inexperienced people, and their whole team has great English skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was a journey with some hiccups along the way. Most of those issues happened on our end. For instance, we went ahead and developed something, noticed that our assumptions were wrong, and had to go back. Miquido was so set on pleasing us that they didn’t challenge us at the time, but this is a mistake that could’ve happened to anyone.

The mistake was connecting to a mapping API that we were certain was free, which we were dependent on. We noticed that it wasn’t free anymore and that it wouldn’t be scalable. Miquido helped us figure out a workaround.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d definitely encourage people to reach out and go beyond the first step of the engagement. Once you make the initial connection, have a video conference with someone at Miquido and visit their headquarters if possible. It's most beneficial to come with as many wireframes and approved designs as possible. It can cause delays if there are things that aren’t figured out yet.

**The Review** — Feb 21, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Since launching the application, the company recorded as many as 1200 unique visitors on the platform and assisted in the delivery of masks and PPEs during the critical periods of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Miquido team's quick work proved pivotal in the fight against the virus in the country.
""They did everything we asked them to within deadlines."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a president of the Board of Treating with a Mission Foundation. I was in charge of koronazglowy.pl project, which aimed to provide medical professionals during COVID pandemic with Personal Protection Equipment that was in shortage in the beggining months of the pandemic.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

Our goal was to create a google-map like website, where our coordinator could pinpoint the package that was needed to be picked up with the target location of that package. On this website, our volunteers could plan their work throughout the day, increasing our action effectiveness.

As the project progressed, we asked Miquido if they could implement filters for our coordinators and for volunteers, like "this package is big, you need a car" and "this has to be delivered ASAP". Miquido did everything we asked them too, and they did it flawlessly.

They created a whole infrastructure and a website that helped us communicate with our volunteers, to acquire new volunteers. Our volunteers also used their website as a map of needs from the facilities that we supported.

Thanks to their work, a lot of that was automated, and it helped our coordinators plan our action.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Miquido and what were the deciding factors?

Miquido have found us, and they offered their help free of charge.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project's scope was to create a logistic web platform in response to a social initiative to support local hospitals during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Firstly, Miquido bought us the Masks4heroes.pl domain. Then they developed the entire website application with a user-friendly design.

The Miquido team used React for frontend development and Firebase for the backend. They also provided us with the platform's statute. As an outcome, the website works like an app based on geolocation. It allows transferring donated masks and other protective equipment to the nearest hospital in need.

Users can report what kind of equipment they want to contribute. Then, they need to enter the pickup address and wait for the verified driver to contact them. The driver will then take masks, gloves and more to the proper storage and later we distribute them to the hospital in need.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a dedicated team comprised of six people in total. We worked with a Project Manager, Project Owner, two Front-end developers, a Designer and a Software Developer in Test.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

When we launched the web application, we immediately gained the first 20 users and racked up 5 kinds of medical equipment transport. In the most intense pandemic period (between March and April), we tracked 1200 unique visits on the website.

We did more than 80 carriers of donated masks and other personal protective equipment, thanks to the web platform during this time. This confirms the app works well.

Thanks to the Miquido Team's agile methodology, we could quickly launch the solution - which was crucial during the first outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and local hospitals' desperate situation.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

We met weekly on videocalls, where we members of our organisation and Miquido discussed which features work as we intended and which didn't. We gave the feedback from our perspective and we asked for new features or improvements for the system that could be implemented. The communication was trouble-free.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were astonished that a company that works in such a money oriented field would offer their help for free, and afterwards we were startled with the quality of the final product as well as ongoing support for it we recieved. It was effortless to work with such people

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They did everything we asked them to within deadlines. Final project could be more polished if it was made by big companies like Google, but we are aware that managing a website like that witouht big resources is hard anyway, so I cant say they could do something better.

**The Review** — Feb 15, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The app has received great feedback and reviews from beta testers, and the partner is happy with the deliverables. Miquido was invested in the success of the solution and that was reflected through their work ethic. They're experts who have a versatile range of skills and capabilities.
"“Miquido didn’t just go through the motions. They went above and beyond in being very thoughtful.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the acting CTO of an AR gaming startup. We’re a small startup company and our main product is a mobile application.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We wanted to develop our iOS app and backend infrastructure. As a very small team, we contracted Miquido to do all of the development and most of the design as well. They were our product design and development team.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our app is an AR game solution. When we started, AR wasn’t as mature as it is now. We started the engagement with a proof of concept (POC) and a prototype version of the app. We hired Miquido to create a simple version to test some of the AR ideas we had. That was the first step.

After the POC, we moved onto full-on product development. That included UX designs and wireframes as well as developing the backend. Their team used InVision for the wireframes. The backend development was built using Go. The solution itself is an iOS app built using ARKit, which is Apple’s AR framework.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a project manager, account manager, lead designer, supporting designer, R&D engineering leader, and several software developers.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I’ve known of Miquido since they were a small company. They’ve grown quite a bit since then. I’ve always felt that they’re capable, especially for mobile development. We asked for a proposal and told them what we were looking to do. Their submitted proposal was reasonable. When we moved forward with the POC, we were very happy with their work, understanding, and level of engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested a little over $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The bulk of the project was from August 2018–September 2020. We occasionally ask for help with small things.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still in the beta period for the app, and it’s publicly available in the App Store. Our beta testing has shown that people really like it and they find it fun. We have some good App Store reviews from beta testers.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager was great. We utilized Jira. Miquido didn’t just go through the motions. They went above and beyond in being very thoughtful. They helped us figure out a lot of things along the way. Our project manager was really invested in the app.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very strong in terms of mobile app development. As they’ve grown their company, they’ve expanded their capabilities so they do UI/UX design work, AI, and data engineering. It’s great that they’re very capable in those areas. There are some efficiencies if we want a single team to take care of multiple things. They’re full service with mobile capabilities at the forefront.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be disciplined about keeping the scope narrowly defined instead of changing or adding new things along the way.

**Feedback Summary**: The Miquido team was able to successfully launch the app and the company recruited 25 more volunteers. Thanks to the new tool, the company's volunteers can save 50% of the operating time due to its ease of use and functionality. The company's overall experience is quite satisfying.
""You can rely on them even if you do not have a strong technical background."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the Founder & CEO at Hearty Foundation. Our main aim is to fight social inequalities through education and knowledge sharing. Our efforts are focused on children in need: with disabilities, those living in orphanages, and students from small villages.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido, and what were your goals?

Miquido designed and developed a custom web application form for us aimed at recruiting new volunteers. What we also needed was an intuitive internal management tool.

The Miquido team suggested creating a dedicated multipurpose CMS, which they developed later on. As a result, the solution simplifies our volunteer registration procedure. We wanted to recruit volunteers more easily, organise their teamwork better, and manage our events more efficiently.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Miquido and what were the deciding factors?

The Miquido team reached out to us and offered their help. They did the project pro bono as one of their CSR activities.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Miquido created a custom web application for us. Their team took care of the design, front-end, and back-end development.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Two Frontend Developers, two PHP Developers, one UX/UI Designer, one QA, one PM.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project became successful. App users are praising it for its easy usability and functionality. Compared to the previous method we used to have, now we can save up to 50% of the employee’s time. Using the new solution, we’ve already recruited 25 volunteers to date.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Miquido has a strong internal team led by an experienced PM & Scrum Master who facilitated the overall communication. In our project, the work was based on Agile methodology. We had weekly sprints and meetings to attend when necessary.

We're impressed by Miquido's great communication during the whole process - they are genuinely well-organised.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The commitment to delivering the solution was the most impressive thing about Miquido. They are a very easy company to work with. You can rely on them even if you do not have a strong technical background.

We did not have previous experience with a software development firm, but Miquido guided us through the whole process. They have a lot of experience, a good team and a proper structure in place.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There has never been anything that concerned us in terms of cooperation with the Miquido team. Our experience with them is very satisfying.

**The Review** — Jan 8, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido quickly came up to speed and produced results. They integrated seamlessly with the internal team and another dev partner by remaining flexible, working in agile, and communicating well. Professional and solution-oriented, the team facilitated a smooth collaboration.
"“They had a can-do attitude and didn’t create any unnecessary problems. It was a pleasure to work with Miquido.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a senior project manager at BNP Paribas Bank Polska. I’m responsible for mobile banking development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We worked with them to speed up our mobile banking development. We had an external vendor already, but we weren’t satisfied with the pace of development. Once we launched our app, our aim was to ensure that it was consistent with general mobile banking standards.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido provided Swift and Kotlin frontend development for the iOS and Android versions of our app. They did Java development for the backend. Our initial vendor built the first version of the app, and Miquido was brought in later on to work in parallel with them.

We were behind the market when it came to mobile applications, so our roadmap was crowded. There were lots of features Miquido needed to implement, including mobile external and internal transfers, mobile onboarding, notifications, and personal finance management.

What is the team composition?

Miquido gave us a team of nine frontend mobile developers for Android and iOS, along with backend developers, a scrum master, and testers.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

They were one of the companies we had in mind when we were initially looking for a vendor, but they didn’t have a very large portfolio of mobile apps at the time. We checked out their portfolio a year-and-a-half later, and we found that we could ask them for support. We had some discussions to learn about their skills.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $1.5 million with them across the 20-month collaboration.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Miquido between January 2019–October 2020. We stopped the collaboration because of the COVID situation and some budget cuts.

The project is ongoing, but we’ve had to cut down the team. We still have a valid contract with Miquido, so we can quickly onboard them again if the need arises.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our main metric was user-story delivery per sprint, which varied between 80–90%. Miquido was the second vendor, and they had to adjust their pace to the first one, which is why they couldn’t deliver everything. However, their performance was definitely better than that of our initial vendor.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Miquido had good experience on the agile methodology, and that’s how we worked with them from the beginning. This was one of our reasons for choosing them. They were very open to communication.

They were located in Krakow, where we have offices as well, so our team visited Miquido a lot. We had a lot of face-to-face interactions and virtual workshops. They had a nice startup vibe, with a lot of fresh ideas.

I worked with the scrum master on Miquido’s side, and the collaboration was very good. They had a can-do attitude and didn’t create any unnecessary problems. It was a pleasure to work with Miquido.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Miquido was professional. They merged with our internal team very quickly and were able to collaborate effectively with both our bank and the second vendor. Working in a large collaboration with a bank isn’t the easiest thing to do, but Miquido had had experience with another bank. I was impressed by how smoothly they entered the project and how quickly they started producing results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would’ve been better if Miquido had come to us with more ideas and improvements, but, since they were the second vendor, they might not have felt like we were looking for that. The ideas that they did bring were good, so we would’ve wanted more emphasis on this.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Going back to what I mentioned before, I’d encourage Miquido to be as active as possible in proposing ideas from the beginning. I had the feeling that they were kind of shy sometimes, but Miquido is a professional company, so it’s worth listening to them.

However, recruiters were hard to onboard on the platform. In the end, the project lost its momentum.  Despite that, the team was efficient, creative, and skilled.
""The organization and the involvement of everyone assigned to the project was impressive."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of Indutree, a recruiting app startup designed to accelerate the recruitment process.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido?

We have hired Miquido to devlop our MVP while we were at a very early stage.

What were your goals for this project?

The first goal was to have a fully functional MVP available in the App store to start growing users (candidates and recruiters). The second goal was to create enough traction to attract investors to scale the product and develop more functions

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Miquido?

I have searched and interviewed multiple vendors in Los Angeles, France, India, Poland and Ukraine. Miquido was the most responsive and organized team with a constructive approach. Trying to build a useful product (no matter the size of the project) while other vendors were trying to build useless features or were not interested by an early stage startups.

Describe the project in detail.

Although we had to work with a 9 hours difference as we were in California and Miquido in Poland, Miquido has put in place a robust organization with a project manager using Asana to assign and manage all tasks and deceisions. We went though multiple loops to define the UX/UI and overall MVP.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager who was our main point of contact. At each step, the project manager would organize the right meetings/talks with designated experts.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app was designed and built according to schedule and budget. We have had great feedback from candidates looking for jobs. However it was difficult to onboard recruiters. Further developments would have been necessary for that but funds were raised and the project lost momentum.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very easy. We took advantage of the 9 hours difference by having regular short meetings and work done on each end with defined deadlines and an efficient drumbeat.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The organization and the involvement of everyone assigned to the project was impressive. Working with a major time difference can be challenging but Miquido made it smooth and efficient by keeping an efficient drumbeat and achieving each deadlines. Unlike other vendors they also didn't hesitate to challenge our concept only to make it better and bring new creative ideas and technical options we were not necessary aware of.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could possibly have more presence in the US. With the quality of the work and the great organization, a US project manager could only hep them manage more projects and grow even faster globally.

The team established reasonable expectations and transparently communicated throughout the engagement. Their timeliness and organization support additional collaboration.
""They didn’t feel like an outsourced vendor; they feel like part of our team."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Eat & Joy — a food subscription service.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We wanted to outsource the development of our web and mobile platforms.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido initially held workshops to capture the scope in its entirety. Their team developed the infrastructure for the web and mobile products, which they designed and developed.

The mobile app allows users to order and pick up meals from restaurants at reduced rates with a monthly subscription. The web app features an administrative panel that enables users to manage data as well as edit user and restaurant information.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 7–8 people from Miquido, including a salesperson, an account manager, a product manager, a backend engineer, a frontend engineer, a QA engineer, and a UI/UX designer. There was also a person dedicated to the mobile app and a person dedicated to the web app.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I found them on Clutch along with several other companies. However, Miquido offered the best price and a favorable timeline estimate. I felt confident that they would deliver a quality product.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €80,000 (approximately $95,000 USD) on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between June–September 2020. We hired them for the second phase of development to add new features.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Miquido finalized the first scope and then successfully delivered it, which enabled us to launch the MVP two months ago. Feedback has been positive, and the product functions smoothly. They delivered high-quality results in a timely manner. We only encountered a few issues that Miquido quickly fixed.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

We had weekly calls via Slack during the design and development processes. They were honest about timelines and delays but always respected the deadlines. Their team is organized, efficient, and responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They didn’t feel like an outsourced vendor; they feel like part of our team. They’re collaborative and personable, which fosters a productive engagement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have anything negative to say about Miquido.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Explain your project and goals in detail to avoid any miscommunication.

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido has been working for the company since 2019. Since then, they have managed to follow all the company's requirements and preferences. Their team is extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and talented.
""They are able to adapt to our preferences and work independently without having to involve us in all the details."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Product Manager at SBAB which is a major, Swedish bank which focuses mainly on private mortgage loans.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido?

We built a mobile application for both Android and iOS. We hired a complete cross functional team consisting of developers, QA, UX and project manager.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to outsource app development to see if it could be a viable option to gain more speed in our development without affecting our other prioritizations.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Miquido?

We looked at countries which were a match from a cost and cultural perspective. We decided that Poland was a viable option and then selected Miquido from a number of options.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a start up meeting in person and after that worked remotely. A team was then assembled by Miquido based on our requirements and project scope. A project plan was put together and our projected started.

What was the team composition?

We've been working with around 6-10 people simultaneously from Miquido, consisting of project manager, UX, QA and developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Miquido has the ability to understand our requirements and preferences and based on that are able to quickly initialize the development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have had agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives on a bi-weekly basis. As the Product Manager, I've had weekly meetings with the project manager. We mainly worked in Jira and Sketch.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Flexible with their approach. They are able to adapt to our preferences and work independently without having to involve us in all the details. They have a skilled workforce with great skills when it comes to design, development and QA.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We would've have liked to have a more fixed team with less rotation. This was partly because of a break from our side between phase 1 and 2 in the project, so some responsibility falls on our side, but it's always challenging to add new people while keeping the speed and knowledge in the project.

The key focus was to create a bank-in-the-box solution for Southeast Asia, where there are still plenty of countries where people are financially excluded since they live in remote and hardly accessible locations. The far-reaching goal was to gradually introduce financial inclusion by delivering a secure and easily accessible digital solution even in the low connectivity zones of Asia.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We have shortlisted three vendors from Eastern Europe with strong experience in banking. Then, we have analyzed in detail some of their projects and read some of their articles on industry topics to better understand their expertise. Their clients' feedback was superb and they seemed to offer an excellent quality-to-cost rate, which proved to be true after they delivered the project.

It has also helped streamline the businesses of our client banks from an operating cost and efficiency standpoint. Even during this pandemic we are getting a lot of inquiries and interest from other potential bank clients. IT has actually exceeded our goals and targets

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We developed a stable working relationship with the team. Miquido people are truly agile and definitively have a can-do attitude. After reaching out to them with any suggestion or query, they always do the relevant research and come back to us with the response. They also give suggestions as to how better we can implement certain features.

We're impressed by the Miquido attention to detail and their transparency in everything they do. During every sprint, the team always communicates with us about how things would be expected to proceed. They have also a very well-organized and professional process.

Are there any areas for improvement?

A few times we had to wait 3-4 weeks when we requested team extension, but looking at the fact how busy they are it is understandable.

They showcased their attention to detail and innovative spirit throughout several iterative sprints in which they actively communicated with their partner.
""They were able to put together a very strong team on short notice."

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Brainly is a global platform where students get personalized learning help and access to world's best educational products. My role is Director of Content. I am responsible for processes, tools and reporting in content operations department.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Miquido?

We needed to scale our operations 4 times over couple of months. Previous infrastruture was not stable, didn't allow for good supply/demand planning and execution. Processes required lots of manual work, and were a burden on our data infrastructure.

What were your goals for this project?

Improve speed of answering. Improve focus of answering. Reduce time spent by internal employees on proceses by:

creating multiple mechanisms of routing tasks
	user Management system
enable automated reporting of performance, business impact, costs

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Through recommendation from our partners and employees, considering also availability, technology and price.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Our company has prepared initial plan of deliverables. After initial sync with Miquido and discussion on features' shape and result which we are hoping to achieve, Miquido did estimations of complexity and possible delivery times.

Based on this information we've defined our go-to delivarables and timing. Both parties were heavily involved in defining the final shape of product.

What was the team composition?

Team consisted of front-end and back-end engineers in changing proportions (up to 7 Engineers in total), also a Designer and Project Manager.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We are not in liberty to share details, but the outcome outperformed our initial estimations in terms of the measured KPIs.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was done by Miquido, with them responsible for delivery of solution and us responsible for delivery of well defined backlog (in a form of problems to solve) and priorities. It was a continuous cooperation from one iteration to the next one.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I don't know if we were super lucky or if this is a standard in Miquido, but they were able to put together very strong team on short notice. All people involved from Miquido, both Developers, PM, Design, QA or Account Executive were very pro-active and open for discussion regarding the project.

After delivering them well defined backlog, they were able to deliver functional, ready to ship piece of code almost after first iteration, despite the fact, that team was just starting to learn how to work with each other.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are aware, that initial estimations done for the project were based on some assumptions that did not turn out to be true or be feasible, but they were partially inaccurate and did not take under consideration the effort needed for the team to fully form and learn how to deliver fully.

**The Review** — Nov 13, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido's team has integrated itself seamlessly into the client's workflow. Professional and experienced, they provide high-quality development work. Although their team works remotely, project management is effective. Their team is pleasant to work with.
""They have a high degree of professionalism in their interactions and good organization."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a medical software startup that's building a reporting solution for radiologists. Our goal is to create more accurate and detailed medical reports.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

At the end of 2018, we had a very large partner start to do business with us. Because of this new agreement, we started to see a significant amount of development work come through to us. We were worried that we couldn’t scale up our development team quickly enough, so we searched for an outsourced partner to augment our staff.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido provided developers that were integrated into our team. They worked remotely and helped develop our software. The main distinguishing features of the software were speech recognition and text production. They worked with React and TypeScript on the frontend and PHP and Symfony on the backend.

What is the team composition?

They supplied two people to work on the project with us. Our plan was to start with two developers in the beginning and then potentially scale up from there. However, our partner delayed the project and withdrew the time pressures that we had on our development team, so we just stayed with the two outsourced developers since the ramp-up wasn’t necessary.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We went through a number of outsourcing candidates and interviewed potential developers. Based on this, we made the decision because they made the most professional impression during the interview. I think it was a good choice.

How much have you invested with them?

We are investing around $15,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

They came on board in January 2019. The project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I think it’s very high-quality work. We’re really happy with their services. One testament to their usefulness is that our company continues to employ them even though we don’t strictly need help anymore due to the removal of time pressure.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

I think project management worked very well. The main challenge is that they are working remotely and most of our employees are on-site. Considering that, the situation has worked exceptionally well. We also visited their team in Krakow.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a high degree of professionalism in their interactions and good organization. Their team differentiates itself through its management approach; their developers stay a long time and have more experience than other partners we’ve had.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. I cannot speak to their long-term project development, but for us, they were very good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say you should try out their services. I'd advise visiting them in-person; seeing in Krakow was a good choice. It’s good to see them in-person every once in a while. That’s a good thing to have for a remote working relationship. It’s important to not cut off remote workers from important conversations.

They are satisfied on existence of new communication channel. What’s more application generated numerous sells leads. The final app doesn’t have bugs or flows. They were enchanted that we were able to deliver such communication channel.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Miquiod’s project manager was easy to communicate with and provides us frequent updates. We used such tools like: e-mail, Slack and Skype to communicate. **Feedback Summary**: While the tool is awaiting launch, feedback on the initial designs has been positive from clients. Miquido’s team is filled with skilled and attentive developers & designers. Their dedication and care toward the project supplemented their professional management style.
""Miquido is dedicated to the customer."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the product manager for a travel booking company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We hired Miquido to assist with frontend redesign and development. We needed a company based in Poland because that’s where our main development team is located.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our corporate booking tool, which allows users who work for corporations book trips by simply logging in, was outdated when it came to the frontend technology. We talk to an outside designer who created the POC. Based on that, Miquido started drafting a plan for redesigning the software. This included the proposed budgets and technologies. After that, we decided on the scope.

We’re in the middle of the project. The React.js platform consists of many modules and functionalities. We plan on finishing the software design for desktops and mobile devices. The final stage will likely be in June.

What is the team composition?

The team consists of about eight people. We work with a project manager, one to two QA testers, and four frontend developers. There’s a UX designer that creates wireframes and helps with design. From time to time, we work with another UX designer.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

After performing market research and addressing several companies, I picked Miquido because of their technical proposal and presentation. They’re not a huge company and have completed projects for the travel industry.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent £300,000 (approximately 338,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Miquido in May 2018, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Clients are pleased with the new design. After launch, usage and satisfaction will be more accurately measured. So far, feedback has been positive.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager is skilled. I couldn’t imagine working on the project without her. She brings a lot of value due to her experience in the travel industry. We use Jira as our project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Miquido is dedicated to the customer. Their sales team takes care of the client. They regularly ask how the project is going.

Are there areas they could improve?

No, there are none that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend working with Miquido.

**The Review** — Jan 7, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The mobile app has over four stars and a collection of positive reviews in both the iOS and Android app stores. The Miquido team is a reliable, organized, and independent partner. The quality of their work and the overall positive experience will likely lead to future collaboration.
"“They’re very goal-oriented, actively looking for solutions to every challenge.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior project manager at BGZ BNP Paribas. We’re the fourth largest bank in Poland, offering services to a variety of customer segments including retail, small enterprise, and corporate. I’m currently working on a new mobile banking solution for our retail customers, and we plan to expand the application to also include our small business customers.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We started this project over a year ago with a different vendor who built the solution from scratch and helped us launch it, but we weren’t satisfied with the final product’s performance. We asked them to follow an agile methodology, and they agreed, but we soon found that they weren’t experienced in that approach. We also ran into several basic and avoidable challenges when integrating the system. Overall, they weren’t capable of completing the solution to our standards.

We needed to find a different partner with experience in Android, iOS, and web-based backend development to help us enhance and complete the application by the end of 2018.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Miquido is supporting the development of a banking solution for our retail and small business customers. So far, they’ve added several new features and functionalities to the original platform, including push notifications, in-app purchases, and video content.

The push notification feature allows customers to receive mobile confirmation alerts for any received or sent financial transfers. Users have to approve the feature, and they can also customize their preferences to allow other notifications.

We partnered with a third-party insurance provider to add in-app purchasing capabilities to the application, offering their products on our platform. Miquido integrated our system with the outside party’s and built the process from end to end. Now, users can calculate their insurance, go through an acceptance assessment, and receive confirmation on the platform.

We’re currently working with the Miquido team to add video content to the platform. A different vendor created a video to help onboard new customers, giving them the freedom to open accounts on their own time. Miquido implemented the video in the application, then built a verification process that requires users to upload a photo of themselves and a photo ID, then compare the two.

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of 10 that consists of two Android developers, two iOS developers, two backend developers, a scrum master, one or two testers, and a UX specialist.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I’ve only been in my role for two and a half years, but the bank reached out to various vendors for mobile projects before my time. Miquido was one of the agencies contacted. They’re based in Kraków, and we have a location there as well. Our team asked around the city and received multiple recommendations for Miquido. They’d done a few projects with the bank before I started. Initially, we chose a different vendor for this project because Miquido didn’t have much experience in the area of integration. When we needed to find a new partner, we went back to Miquido and found that they’d recently expanded their skill set, so we brought them on for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July 2018, and it’s an ongoing project. In the two weeks prior, we had a warm-up period to establish a scope and schedule. We expect to complete this project in 2021, but we plan to extend the partnership to include support and future development work.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any concrete numbers at the moment, but our scores on both iOS and Android app stores increase every month. We have over four stars and positive reviews in both markets, which indicates that we’re headed in the right direction. I definitely attribute that success to Miquido, given that they built all of our customer-facing features.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re following the scrum method, using Jira and Slack to communicate and track our progress. We share code through Bitbucket, as well as some other agile tools on the market. Every stage of this project has been a challenge because we work with multiple outside vendors, but Miquido navigates those relationships efficiently and professionally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very goal-oriented, actively looking for solutions to every challenge. The team is collaborative but still low-maintenance. We schedule meetings and calls as necessary, and there’s not much outside discussion. They’re straightforward, which we really appreciate. We don’t have to allocate a lot of time for planning, paperwork, and agreements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be nice if they had a system design and architecture specialist to head the project. With other vendors, we spoke to a senior staff member who delegated tasks to the development team. With Miquido, we speak with the entire team throughout each phase of the project. Having a point person in place to handle all of our questions would speed up the whole process, especially in the beginning.

**The Review** — Dec 11, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Final products are reliable and easy to use, with minimal server downtime. Miquido’s team was well-organized and delivered on all their promises. Thanks to their expertise, the final products offer more features and integrations than originally expected.
"“Their overall professionalism, knowledge, and support make them a great company to work with.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for a nutrition company and I’m the regional software product manager for Europe, Africa, India, and the Middle East.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We wanted to create a customer-facing member app for nutrition coaching. We also wanted someone to develop the backend infrastructure for our product suppliers.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built native iOS and Android apps for our platform and handled the backend work using Java. We handled all of the design work in-house and provided the initial wireframes, as well as a list of requirements for the developers. They used that to construct all of our platform architecture.

Over the course of our collaboration on this project, we’ve changed and improved it quite a lot. We’ve integrated it with smart tools like wireless scales, so customers can weigh and measure food. We’ve also added e-commerce support, chat integration, and backend address validation through Google. Our apps and backend system are synchronized and fully interconnected, so there aren’t delays or refresh issues.

In addition to building this platform, they also helped us create an internal content management system (CMS) platform and developed all of the microservices involved in the project.

What is the team composition?

We had a team of around eight people, including a project manager/scrum master and developers for our apps, back end, and CMS.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I’m not sure how we found them. I was involved in the selection process, though, and their team showed the most confidence in their abilities and seemed to be a good match for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project from March–December 2016 but we still have an ongoing relationship.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our users are happy with the product overall. MIquido’s team did a good job of meeting our requests and delivering apps that work well for customers even though they didn’t get much input on the design elements. We’ve also been happy with the functionality and reliability of their products. Our service is up 99.9 percent of the time and if the servers go down, it’s usually the fault of another vendor.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

They possessed solid expertise and delivered on their promises. Turnover on the team was low and if someone was replaced, they ensured that the replacement was up to speed on our project. We used Jira to keep track of all the details, which helped make those transitions smoother.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their overall professionalism, knowledge, and support make them a great company to work with. They deliver consistent quality and communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything to add. It’s a real joy to work with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared because they’ll turn deliverables around before you’re ready to assign the next job.

**The Review** — Jul 9, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The website enhancements have strengthened client relations, and the finished product can now serve as a blueprint demo for prospective clients. Miquido was well-organized, brought valuable industry knowledge to the project, and offered regular progress updates.
""Our day-to-day communication was seamless."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a client operations manager of an agency that offers digital music solutions.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We were working with a client to power their music download store that was developed by a third party. We wanted to rebrand and upgrade the store, and we decided that its original builder was not the best partner for that.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We integrated a new Prismic CMS for the site, which was supported by AWS. The project also required a UX redesign. We created a new account page for users, allowing them to manage their personal data and credit cards all within one corner of the website. We made it easier to search for specific content by implementing suggest-as-you-type functionality, showing users musical content containing the first few letters or characters entered.

What is the team composition?

We had one project manager, and at the peak of the project, we worked with four or five developers.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We had worked with another company prior to working with Miquido, but their project management left a lot to be desired. With Miquido, there was an existing relationship between their CEO and one of our senior executives.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between £60,000– £70,000 ($79,000–$92,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership lasted from April 2017 through October 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our relationship with the client is much healthier because the new site shows our willingness to give them the best possible online store. It has become a bit of a blueprint of a download store for other prospective clients as well.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Our day-to-day communication was seamless. We had a Slack channel, and we also used Jira and Confluence. They gave us regular updates and feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our project manager understood the functionality of music catalogs and, more broadly, the music industry. They were able to communicate specific information to the development team and guide them very well.

Any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to be clear with requirements and have as much documentation at the start as possible.

**The Review** — Jan 23, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Recently launched, the app has received positive user feedback as a useful tool that should be available worldwide. Initial bugs were reported and quickly resolved. Miquido offers a fluid development process that stands out in a crowded industry.
"“Feedback has been widely positive as the app received a lot of press coverage once it launched.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior digital marketing manager for Abbey Road Studios. It’s a famous recording studio, and I lead the new digital business initiatives like e-commerce, online advertising, social media, etc.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

While famous artists often book our studio, we wanted to create a digital solution to engage smaller musicians around the world. After a year of research and focus groups, we decided to develop a mobile recording app for musicians that’s accessible, cost-effective, and helpful. The app is called Topline.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

During our first briefing with Miquido, we said we needed a simple recording app. The main functionality is to record a voice with the best quality possible on mobile. The app required additional functionalities like saving recordings to an in-app library, organizing them, and being able to share completed tracks with others. We also wanted users to synchronize the app with online cloud-based systems.

Miquido was responsible for the technical scoping of the product, both from a user and development point of view. They developed the app and designed its UX. Then, they tested early app iterations and minimum viable products (MVP). We launched the iOS version and continue to work with them on implementing new app features. We intend for Miquido to develop the Android version as well, but we’re currently in the feasibility testing stage of that project.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I’ve worked with them before at a previous company. They were chosen to develop a mobile app the company was planning launch. That work went well so I contacted them for this project. They won the pitch.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together January 2017 and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Feedback has been widely positive as the app received a lot of press coverage once it launched. We’ve gotten requests for Android support and to make the app available all over the world. It's viewed as something extremely desired and needed as a tool. We’ve had two or three reports of an initial audio bug, but that has since been resolved. That quick response shows we have an engaged audience of users. The number of downloads isn’t where we want, but we haven’t done a proper marketing push.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed brilliantly and worked with well with our management staff. They’re responsive and have efficient processes to ensure deliverables are completed on-time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re probably one of the easiest vendors I’ve ever worked with in the digital space. Unlike other agencies I’ve worked with, they have our best interest in mind. They went the extra mile in negotiating costs and delivering within a flexible scope. They’re customer focused and strong in terms of development quality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I find it easier to communicate face-to-face when in the planning stage of a project and that wasn’t possible with Miquido being based in another country. That didn’t negatively affect our project; however, I’d recommend they hire international teams to assist with early project discussions.

**Feedback Summary**: The completed applications recently launched and are well-received in the App Store, rating highly. Communicating well, sticking to the project structure, and maintaining a friendly working relationship, the team works hard and is truly invested in the project and its success.
"“In the App Store, we have 4.6 points and all the feedback is positive.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a radio company in Germany and are building an app for our customers to be able to listen to the radio without ads and commercials. I’m the head of streaming services.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We wanted to build a user-friendly app for the classical market and didn’t have an in-house team.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They were in charge of developing an iOS and Android app. They did the design first and then built all the tech behind it to make it work. It wasn’t normal on-demand streaming; it’s a special radio on demand mixture that’s quite complicated. Their focus was to develop some features and place them in this premium service.

One feature is people can decide if they want to listen to the news, to the weather, to the stock market, or anything else. They don’t have to just listen to music, but can switch it on and off. There’s a channel mixer for different playlists. Users can take 5 or 6 and mix them together with a crossfading function.

On the Android app, they integrated Stripe. On the iOS app, they’re working on a payment system now. They’re continuing to build new features and make the apps more beautiful.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

They were recommended to us. We considered several companies but Miquido understood the project quite well and had done other, very up-to-date similar projects. They were really comfortable with the music delivering system, which is quite complicated. We picked them because they already had experience.

How much have you invested with them?

250,000 euros [$305,600].

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2017 and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re pretty young in the market. We just launched just before Christmas. In the App Store, we have 4.6 points and all the feedback is positive. The first people are paying now.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good. We were very satisfied with everything. It was very structured and they were honest. We didn’t have many issues. They were pretty good with timelines and made accurate estimations. The communication is also good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really smart people. They’re quite attached to the company and have a really good feeling for the employees. It’s not just work for them; they are connected to the company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we wanted them to start another project, they declined because they said it wasn’t their specialty. We went to somebody else and figured out it’s pretty difficult. In the end, it was bad for us, but it’s good that they are honest about their limitations. They don’t just say yes in order to make money.

**The Review** — Oct 23, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: As the first mobile platform to enable secure information sharing, nearly 1% of all doctors within a major organization were onboarded within the first 90 days with tens of thousands of messages sent monthly. Miquido handles pressure well with responsive, personal, and genuine service.
"“We were impressed with Miquido’s creativity, communication, and quick understanding of what we were trying to achieve.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a co-founder of a health technology company that provides communication solutions within hospitals. Our platform is primarily about secure instant messaging, which facilitates tasks and workflow amongst doctors and nurses. The platform also deals with patient information.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We wanted to help doctors save time and improve patient care. We needed a technical partner to help design and build the first version of our platform, including the backend and mobile app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We presented the aims of the projects and some information architecture, working closely to turn our objectives into a functional specification and a series of milestones. Their iOS and Android teams worked with us to build out the platform over a period of 6 months, while the backend team created a server-side application that helps us manage users and how the platform is used.

What is the team dynamic?

We worked with a project manager as well as 1 tester, 1–2 iOS developers, 1 Android developer, and 1 backend developer.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We found them through a referral agency called Digital Knights. We put a specification out for an app, and the agency presented 3 companies. We were impressed with Miquido’s creativity, communication, and quick understanding of what we were trying to achieve.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, the cost has been around £100,000 [$131,974].

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2016. The platform is available in app stores. We continue to have an ongoing relationship as we incorporate feedback into the platform.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This has been the first mobile platform to enable the secure sharing of clinical information between doctors. Within its first 90 days, we onboarded almost 1% of all doctors within the NHS [National Health Service] to the platform. Currently, we’re sending tens of thousands of messages every month.

The work we’re doing is incredibly important, and, if the platform breaks, it can impact people’s lives. It’s not just a matter of ordering pizza or a taxi—it’s about patients getting good care in hospitals. We’ve received huge amounts of feedback, much of it technical and clinical. Some of our users have saved up to an hour per day on communication. We’ve even had reports of patients who had previously been lost in hospitals—something which does happen, unfortunately—and who were found because of the app.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

I find them to be great project managers who were excellent in terms of responsiveness and communication. I have high standards and demand a lot from their team. Given the importance of what we’re doing, they’ve handled the pressure well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re not driven solely by commercial reasons. They are a successful company, so they don’t struggle to find work—much of their business comes from word of mouth, which is obviously a good sign. This enables them to pick the more important projects, the ones they want to work on. It never felt like we were being rushed out; they gave us everything we needed for the project. They have genuinely cared about more than being paid, which is a rare thing to say about an outsourced studio.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve asked me these questions as well. I have nothing but positive feedback. We can always improve things, but out of all the teams I’ve worked with, Miquido has delivered as good or better.

**The Review** — Dec 19, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido performed very well and made helpful suggestions and adjustments throughout the project to ensure its success.
""Miquido’s team is Agile, responsive, and eager to share their ideas for improvements."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I hold the position of coordinator for e-commerce systems at TUI Poland. TUI is the world’s number one integrated tourism business operating in 180 countries worldwide, with around 1,800 travel agencies across Europe, six airlines operating more than 130 aircraft, more than 300 group-owned hotels and resorts, and twelve cruise ships. TUI is working for millions of clients every year.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

Tourism and leisure went mobile. The importance of this search, communications, and sales channel is increasing rapidly, so we needed to improve the quality of our mobile solutions provided by our previous mobile vendor. We aimed to start a new development of the app and increase conversion and sales on it.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They were in charge of everything from implementing the purchasing process and integration with 3rd-party solutions such as PayU, to ending with refactoring code and optimizing the working time of the app. They also added more advanced mechanisms for analytics, creation of scenarios for engagement, and conversion.

They offered development of both regular and out-of-the-box solutions, increasing our clients’ engagement with the app and integrating analytics tools.

The whole project is being created in Objective-C/Swift on iOS and Java on Android. Miquido integrated a couple of new technologies into the project, including SDKs [software development kits] from the payment provider in Poland, which was crucial for us from the business perspective.

How much have you invested with Miquido?

We have spent approximately $120,000.

When was the project started and completed?

It started in May 2016 and is still in progress with plans for future cooperation.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. Together, we were able to implement Scrum. Miquido’s team is Agile, responsive, and eager to share their ideas for improvements.

What did you find most impressive about Miquido?

They are quick to respond to our needs and ideas, being primarily client-oriented and willing to suggest their improvements and ideas, e.g. during a TUI-focused hackathon.

Are there any areas Miquido could improve?

We are still working together to improve our cooperation with small changes in the process, but nothing different than standard Agile behavior.

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido produces systems that function well and become widely used. The agency’s staff is highly accessible, even including the top executives. They are a rapidly-growing agency that improves from feedback and is always adding resources.
""Miquido's systems function very well because they test thoroughly before delivering their modules."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We were set up in 2001 as a backend software developer for IP network device control. We also set up another system around 2 years ago in order to focus on consumer applications.

I am the Chief Executive Officer of the company. I have an extensive experience in the telecoms, cable, and programming sectors.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed resources for developing a mobile application. Our target audience is the college age demographic, users who are familiar with social media platforms and are used to sharing content with friends, communicating around that content. We ultimately plan to open up to both younger and older demographics, creating an all-mind environment in which all friends are connected and able to watch the same content at once through mobile devices, almost as if they were in the same room.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We have worked with Miquido on a media/messaging application developed for both iOS and Android. Miquido is also working on our backend solution, which was developed partly by us.

We also plan on using Miquido for our website redesign, as well as marketing material production.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

We needed to find a developer for video and TV services. I had the technical director of the company manage the search. After several weeks of shortlisting, we hired them. We did a Skype interview with their team and chose them out of 4 firms.

How much have you invested with Miquido?

We will spend over $100,000 this year. Most years we spend around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our collaboration with Miquido over three years ago. This is ongoing work with major projects being added on a rolling basis.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Their systems are being used a lot currently. I can compare them to a couple of other subcontractors. Miquido's systems function very well because they test thoroughly before delivering their modules. They can also do integrations, and sometimes they do for us.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

They were smaller and weaker with project management before. Project managers and tools are great for productivity and collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about Miquido?

I get great access to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, which gives us extra confidence. They go above and beyond for us. I know that their business is based on relationships and personal referrals, which is the best way to build a company.

Are there any areas Miquido could improve?

They are small and growing quickly so sometimes it can be difficult to get resources when you need them. It’s a minor problem and can be overcome with proper planning. If you tell them in advance what you need, they usually can make arrangements to suit your project.

**The Review** — Jun 6, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido integrated well with the in-house teams. Although the team experienced some staff turnover, they maintained a high level of staff quality and kept new members up-to-date. They remained flexible as their services increased and were willing to help work through difficult situations.
""Miquido's team is technically very good, and they worked hard and contributed to the project.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We are a semiconductors company in the UK. The division that I work for is involved in developing wireless, multimedia speakers. This particular one was related to our retail division, which is the work we did with Miquido. It involved developing applications for their speakers. Pure basically sells retail radios and wireless speakers.

What is your position?

I am a Software Engineering Manager at the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

Our company has quite a lot of software expertise but very little app experience. We have a couple of internal people that had started doing some apps. Although relatively skilled people, they didn’t have the experience. Then we had some contractors in, and that didn’t work very well. We chose Miquido initially just to take what we already had running in iOS and run it on Android. Those were really the challenges that fill the gap in for our application.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

Miquido’s initial remit was to take an application that we had written in iOS, but not fully completed, and convert it to Android. Because we were happy with the work they did, we involved them in both the iOS and the Android development, to take both of those products forward.

They led the Android product project themselves. Some of our team members were working on the interface with some of our systems, but it was mostly them doing the user experience and the development. We felt that they were our own employees, fitting into the product as required, and getting their ideas on how it should work. Eventually, we set up scrum and agile teams, and then they ran with those scrum and agile teams with some members of both teams.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It was over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

It is completed.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

The app is in the store, and the feedback that we got from the app is not as good as we like, but that’s more to do with the system rather than the app itself. We had some system issues which weren’t related to Miquido, so I wouldn’t like to taint their work with that sort of thing. There’s nothing publicly, unfortunately, that I can really share with you. We’ve done an evolution of their project since, and I’ve been working with them on that. Again, it’s almost as though they were really internal employees, even though they were working in their offices. They attribute to our agile teams really well.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

We did project management ourselves. We tended to use Miquido as individual team members. From that point of view, there wasn’t really an issue. I found them incredibly flexible. Occasionally, staff had to go, and there was some turnover at their end. They were very good at keeping the people up to date though. Then, when we had various issues and we had to reduce the staff, and then increase their services, despite what the contract said, they were very flexible and tried to work with us as best as they could. The overall point of view, as a resource, they were very good.

What distinguishes Miquido from other providers?

We were very impressed with the quality of Miquido’s staff. Miquido's team is technically very good, and they worked hard and contributed to the project. Their flexibility was one of the things that really stood out. Where other companies may have stuck to the contract a lot more, they were happy to work with us where they could through some difficult situations, and made it a lot easier for us.

Is there anything Miquido could have improved or done differently?

I can’t really think of any negatives.

""The Miquido team is very high energy and had a good level of development skills.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

Skyscanner is a global search engine that enables people to find comparisons for flights, hotels, and car hire.

What is your position?

I am a product manager. I was working on our car hire side of the business when I came into contact and worked with Miquido specifically on the car hire Android and iOS app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We didn't have a car hire app at that moment. We wanted to build an app fairly rapidly, and one of my colleagues identified Miquido as a suitable candidate to be able to do just that.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Miquido went through a number of iterations for the app. Initially, we just provided the product requirements, and Miquido did the full design, development, and testing. As time went on, we reached a point where we were driving the product, in terms of product manager, and we had a UX [user experience] designer on our side, but worked closely with the development team at Miquido. We shared the testing, so we had test engineers on both teams.

We did a fair amount of work around improving our processes and that was very much collaboration in the two teams, given that we're geographically in different locations. We reached a point where the direction was given by us, but we would work together to decide what is the most important thing and what's technically possible and the direction we were going. Miquido inputted into that as well and gave feedback.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

A colleague of mine looked at various options. Initially, we just wanted a prototype in a short span of time and as I say, it was felt Miquido came across as very ambitious, very fast moving, a relatively new company looking to make an impact. They were able to respond to our request that we wanted it done reasonably fast. They could actually handle that and deliver that, and they'd be able to respond in the timescale that we wanted. Plus, on the financial side of things, they were reasonable as well.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've finished the car hire app project and we've brought that in-house. We've brought together the flights, hotels and car hire into one app, so our requirements for working with a third party ended. We stopped working with Miquido around July 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We've gotten great user feedback on the app. In terms of the app store ratings, we're at a 4 out of 5 for both apps. We also have a great conversion rate on the app.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Miquido did very well. They are very responsive and always on hand in terms of being available as part of the weekly sprints that we ran. We ran sprints every two weeks, and they were very engaged in that process, which is good for us.

Project management-wise, Miquido was very proactive. They were able to understand our requirements and challenges, especially the pain points around at what point are we going to get out of an app so that we can test it initially and then coming back with obviously the bugs that we found. We did a lot of work around process improvements, looking at where the bottleneck is in our step and development process lifecycle.

Even at the end, we terminated on good terms, and they were very helpful even. We went through a ramp-down maintenance mode with the app, and they were able to help during that period, and there was iOS upgrade during the final period, so they were able to help with a specific issue that we appreciated and that they didn't necessarily have to do that. They gave guidance on a specific upgrade regression – something stopped working – so that helped us as well.

What distinguishes Miquido from other providers?

They came to Edinburgh a few times, and we had a number of onsite workshops. They were very proactive in coming forward with ideas to improve the products. They were always looking at how do we improve, even though it wasn't a Miquido car hire app, they bought into what we were trying to do so that made it much easier for us.

The Miquido team is very high energy and had a good level of development skills. They were aware of trends and changes that were happening, especially with any iOS or Android release. They would then be able to understand what implications this had on the current app quickly, what we needed to change to ensure that we were making full use of the operating system, so that was very helpful.

Is there anything Miquido could have improved or done differently?

Not really.

**Feedback Summary**: Miquid’s enthusiasm for their work produces outstanding results. The agency is actively involved in every step of their projects’ progress and adds value to each process. They are committed to fostering great working relationships. Communication with the agency is efficient and pleasant.
""We worked together and had a good relationship.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

I work for a big, global insurance company based in the United Kingdom. I lead the development team in the Barcelona, Spain office.

What is your position?

I am an engineering manager. I oversee the engineering teams, set practices, and provide the staff and tools needed for our daily activities.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed mobile developers. As an insurance company, quality and security are main concerns.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

Miquido will be working on mobile applications for us. The projects in which they will be involved are focused on the internal transformation of the company, automating processes, and creating models that can be reused on other projects.

We plan to organize a hackathon next week. Miquido is helping us plan it and have provided a speaker that will be addressing motion designs and animations for mobile devices.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I had collaborated with them at a previous company. We worked on a large mobile application. Miquido was in charge of Android and iOS development. At the time of my departure, the team Miquido provided was composed of 14 developers.

When we needed development work at my current company, I contacted them again. We are now negotiating our contract and determining the projects in which they'll be included.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We don't have a specific budget for working with them. We will pay them a rate based on the team they provide us. We plan to start with a four person team, and expand it to eight developers.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work is ongoing. We plan to have a continuous relationship with Miquido and make them part of our team. We will specify the way in which we work and request engineers for our various projects.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

On my previous team, the development process was streamlined by having the entire team working on the project on Miquido's side. I like the way in which Miquido works. They get involved in the work and add value to it, as opposed to other developers I've worked with, which detached themselves from the project once it was completed.

We've had multiple meetings regarding the hackathon we're planning to host. It was a good process, and they didn't charge us anything for the speaker they will be sending.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

On our previous collaboration, we had three different teams, with a team leader for each project. I spoke with their chief technology officer every three days in order to see how everything was going. He is involved in their operations and has good oversight. Whenever there's an issue, he helps in solving it proactively. This was the main reason I suggested their services at my current company.

What distinguishes Miquido from other providers?

Whenever we had meetings between our teams, we had the feeling of being a single unit. We worked together and had a good relationship. We would usually go to dinner together afterwards. The social aspect is important within this work. I'm overall quite happy with them.

Miquido is involved in the developer community. They organize events and care about their engineers.

Is there anything Miquido could have improved or done differently?

Sometimes I have disagreements with the Miquido team, but it’s quite easy to discuss our issues directly and come up with great solutions together.

**The Review** — Feb 12, 2016

**Feedback Summary**: Miquido consistently delivers quality apps that function well and receive positive feedback. The agency helps optimize processes and excels at understanding project requirements. They are accommodating, responsive, and communicative.
""Miquido seems to care more than any other developer I've known about the project.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

Our agency is specialized in web design and development as well as Internet marketing.

What is your position?

I'm the owner.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

Many of our clients requested apps as part of their projects. We needed the necessary expertise for this.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

They've worked on around three apps for our clients, including making specifications, design, and coding. We've worked on web as well as native Android and iOS apps.

Their involvement goes beyond developing apps. They help in the specification phase and develop ideas, providing fact checking in order to make sure that we don't make promises that are outside the bounds of what can be created. Miquido make sure that what we propose to clients is realistic.

We work on a project basis, but they also offer full-time support when needed. Training is handled by us on the client side.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

I was introduced to them by someone who had used their services on a major project. I contacted Miquido, gave them my requirements, and liked their general attitude and vibe. The decision to work with them wasn't difficult, especially after speaking with other local firms.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The total development cost with Miquido so far has been between $10,000 and $50,000.

We've never been overcharged for their work – quite the opposite. They're more than fair in this sense.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've worked together on around five projects. I've recently asked them to allocate more resources to ongoing projects.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We've gotten good feedback from end clients. Any bugs that I've discovered have not been the fault of Miquido and have been addressed quickly. Any other issues were outside of their control. The end products have been nothing short of great.

Each one of the apps they've produced is being used live with no errors whatsoever. After the beta phase of my own project, the app has run for six months without any issues. Its uptime has been 99 percent.

Metrics include the required specifications that we've had to draft. In the past, we would have to create 100-page documents for each app. This has been reduced to a quarter of that size with Miquido while still getting the same end result. They were critical in understanding requirements that would have had to be spelled out for other developers.

We've worked with a couple of companies in the United States, and Miquido has been better than those by far. I recommend them very highly and have never used any other developer.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

I've worked with two of their project managers so far, having a great experience each time.

The communication, even though we've in two different countries, was done well. They're accommodating in terms of scheduling, setting calls during our work hours, which are well beyond theirs.

What distinguishes Miquido from other providers?

Miquido seems to care more than any other developer I've known about the project. They're involved in the process, finding bugs and making suggestions that I would have missed.

Is there anything Miquido could have improved or done differently?

There may have been a few issues in the beginning of our relationship, but they've grown as a company. Currently, they're ahead of schedule by two months on the projects that are underway, so I have nothing bad to say about Miquido.

The agency showed superior collaboration skills by making suggestions for better performance whenever possible. Their ability to provide feedback, as well as improve from it, set them apart from competitors.
""Miquido has great communication, which makes any business transaction easier.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your organization.

We help health plans lower hospitalization expenses and keep their members with a high risk of chronic disease more compliant to their care plan tasks. We are a startup, and we accomplish great outcomes through our mobile technology.

What is your position?

I am the president and chief technology officer of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What business challenge were you trying to address with Miquido?

We needed a technology partner to design and develop our core platform, which was an iOS- and Android-based mobile system. They also developed our web platform.

**SOLUTION**
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Miquido has created a mobile application for Android and iOS and has developed our web platform. We also link with different biometric devices and sensors. Miquido has helped us translate that data on the web and mobile apps into a meaningful, visual form.

We create requirements and work with their project manager in order to ensure that we're on the same page, and then start the development process. They provide initial testing for our products. We have a weekly standup meeting in which we discuss any issues, concerns, or questions.

How did you come to work with Miquido?

A colleague in a management class I took put me in touch with them. I studied with that person in my MBA [Masters of Business Administration] program, so I trusted their knowledge and judgment. We've analyzed around 10 other companies. Miquido has been the best fit from technical as well as pricing standpoints.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

Our annual budget is between $50,000 and $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them for around two and a half years. We're currently in the sixth phase of development for our technology. Each of these phases has been divided into three sprints. We've achieved many goals with them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We're very satisfied with their performance. We've worked with them for more than two years. If, at any point during that time, we had found ourselves less than satisfied, we would have used an alternative development shop.

One of the things that's nice about Miquido is that, if the requirements we give them don't make sense from a usability or design standpoint, they will push back and provide alternative approaches for what we're trying to accomplish and would be simpler for the user.

There have been around 1,000 users in total for our app. From a user standpoint, we focus mostly on the high-risk members. Everything that we design is done with simplicity in mind. Our app is minimalistic and intuitive. Within 60 seconds, a high-risk Medicaid member is able to identify what to do with it.

How did Miquido perform from a project management standpoint?

Earlier on, we did not have the technical capabilities that we have now in terms of understanding how to post information to Amazon Web Services, making sure that our product was HIPAA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act] compliant, and so on. Miquido was able to offer resources quickly in order to help us in this respect.

When starting out, our only expertise was in database development. We were relying on them for everything else. As our company grew, we developed a core competency. Throughout this process, they continued to help us, and wrote training materials for our employees.

What distinguishes Miquido from other providers?

I've worked with tons of contractors and offshore teams. The biggest issues I've seen across these collaborations are lack of communication and unbalanced expertise (usually, there will be one experienced person while the rest are junior developers). These things don't apply for Miquido. Miquido has great communication, which makes any business transaction easier, and they have a high level of skill across the company.

Is there anything Miquido could have improved or done differently?

Earlier on, we didn't have a dedicated project manager. There were simply a couple of people that we worked with routinely.

Also, at first, quality assurance testing didn't have a set process in place, which led to many small bugs slipping by. They were easy to fix, but should have been caught.

Miquido's team continuously asked for feedback and, after this was brought to their attention, we put procedures in place that got rid of the testing issues, leading to a thorough process.

I haven't got any detailed outcomes, unfortunately. But I can say two things with confidence:

The creation of this product removed so many headaches we'd previously had with communication. It solved problems we'd dealt with for years
The feedback from people at the event was that the app made navigation, comms and understanding the event simpler than ever before.
The build of the app never had issues and we'll definitely be working with Miquido on more development projects in the future.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They definitely commit a lot of time to communication. everything was explained and decided upfront, with clear roles and responsibilities. We maintained regular check-ins and live updates on the status of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The people at Miquido are talented, communicative and solutions driven. The passion that went into delivering the product was clear and we felt like we could have open dialogue at every stage of the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

due to our short time-frame we could've spent more time on the contract and paperwork upfront. Nothing was wrong but we all got too into the product to ensure the paperwork around the project was done quicker.
