We were looking for a marketing agency that knows how to acquire new clients for IT companies. Our goal was to have several customer acquisition channels that work very well and to know how much it costs to acquire a customer from each marketing channel.

We have found a few companies with the expertise in online marketing, but with 0101marketing, we had a great flow, and it just "clicked". I believe the relationship is extremely important for any future success. Additionally, they know the IT company's needs, and how we function, and they have experience in implementing projects for other clients.

0101marketing agency supported us in strategic activities - defining target groups, choosing marketing channels and the way of communicating the solution. They were responsible for:

• PPC campaigns (Google Ads: Search, Display, Video, remarketing, LinkedIn Ads: Display, Video, remarketing)
• creating content for: Landing Pages, Lead Magnets, White-papers, etc.
• configuration and service of the CRM system - HubSpot - in order to organize information about leads and deals (source and medium of acquired customers, sales stage, integration with other tools, preparation of a dashboard with information about ROAS and ROI)
• creating dedicated Landing Pages for individual groups of recipients
• implementation of the DM campaign on the LinkedIn platform
• weekly reporting during sprint meetings on the work progress and effects - the effectiveness of individual marketing channels

Our Director of Growth worked directly with 0101marketing’s CEO. We also had strategic meetings with their founder.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

nnual Recurring Revenue = 1 200 000 Euro During the annual cooperation with 0101marketing, we increased a 40x the number of leads, which resulted in 2,000 leads. We defined 5 new customer groups and launched 12 new customer acquisition channels. ROAS = 2.2 for LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads. We have arranged over 300 meetings of potentially interested customers with the sales department.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The CEO of the 0101marketing agency was in constant contact with us through Slack and delegated tasks to his employees. There were no communication noises and there were no problems related to not understanding the issues and tasks.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am most impressed by the knowledge they have in ​customer acquisition for IT companies. Even before the start of their activities, they were able to identify which marketing channels might work better, which might be worse. They want the customer to earn money by selling services / products, and this is what business is all about.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

I believe the process would be smoother if we could allocate full time (we did it after few weeks ) an internal person from the team that will manage all the communication with the agency. Before it was done via different people, and sometimes it was a problem with the communication to too many channels. One person should have own the project from the beginning and in our case it was a Director of Growth.

First, we went through the discovery phase, where our needs were defined. Then certain KPIs were defined and we agreed on future actions to measure them, like website improvement (adding and configuring tracker), social media activities. Later we decided to narrow the scope of work to Linkedin, where automated scripts were made for targeting interesting market segments with dedicated campaigns.

We worked with consultants responsbile for managing social media accounts and automating Linkedin mail campaigns.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The most interesting part for us was the Linkedin campaign, where we were surprised by the positive feedback from the people we messaged. We managed to quickly grow our networks.

We had in-person meetings when necessary (especially during early phases). Later it was enough to communicate less frequently.

We value the evidence-based approach when performing marketing activities. We like the fact of how they iteratively fine-tune the marketing process.

At this moment we don't have any feedback.

spinbits.io is an IT company. We do software development and custom software for customers in the e-commerce industry and other fields of business. I’m the owner of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with 0101marketing?

We were looking for a partnership that could help us with marketing. Besides developing custom software for our customers, we have products that we need to market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together on 2–3 projects, each of them with different scales. At the start, they prepared the whole idea for marketing such as how to reach out to customers and what channels we should use — including Facebook. We were also deciding if we should do it the natural way. As a result, we did workshops with their team and we discussed what we needed to achieve. We also established the projects' budgets. 

They also developed graphic materials, copywriting, and more — which were all done for the marketing campaigns. After that, they launched all the campaigns and they reported to us every two weeks. Meanwhile, for one of the projects we had, they provided a monthly report. The projects were mostly done for social media, our website, and public websites. We also did some animation promo clips.  

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with 0101marketing’s owner who also worked as our project manager. We also had meetings with their copywriter and we collaborated with their designer.

How did you come to work with 0101marketing?

The owner of 0101marketing was recommended to me, and that’s why I reached out to him. I saw them through LinkedIn and we had a call, and he was super likable and professional. It was also important for us to have good communication, especially if the company was not based in the UK or the US. That’s why we liked that their owner had experience working with foreign customers because our markets are not only based in Poland — we also work with Western countries. Above all, they had a good approach to the business. 

Their honesty also stood out, especially when we talked about the budget. He explained what were the things we could get if we increased or decreased the budget. From there, we really saw that he didn’t just focus on what their team could earn, but effectively explained how the money would be utilized for the engagement. Lastly, we also did some development for them.

We’ve spent around $40,000–$50,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from March–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We had more leads, traffic, and revenue because of their work. They were able to effectively target our customers, and they did it perfectly. We really grew thanks to them. 

How did 0101marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They maintained a good level of communication. For example, if a report was set on Friday, a week before that, they would call me to give updates and made sure that everything was going well. They were also proactive in identifying our needs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really cared about our business and they were really straightforward with everything. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since I only worked personally with the owner of the company, I don’t know how others worked. However, I don’t have anything to suggest for areas of improvement. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers need to be honest about their real budget. If the budget is smaller than they can pay, 0101marketing will do their best way to give you the most out of that budget. Moreover, be open and understanding when doing business with them — it’s the way to go.

We decided to work with 0101marketing to learn how to validate our marketing hypothesis fast - we wanted to run campaigns targetted at specific industries, but we weren't sure which industries we should actually target. We were hoping that 0101marketing could teach us how to validate our ideas fast, before investing time and money in running a long campaign.

Observing the activity of 0101marketing, we noticed that they are doing something similar to what we wanted to do. During the introduction call, we discussed our challenges and possible solutions and we saw a good understanding of our problem.

Initially, we agreed on the marketing audit and consultations - the goal was to implement the process of rapid market experiments. The scope changed, however. After a few meetings, we came to conclusion that our assumption was wrong - with search volumes on the keywords that we wanted to target, it would take months to get any answers. Instead, we received some ideas about what actions we could undertake among our marketing activities. In the meantime, we identified another area where 0101marketing could help us and we started working on our brand communication strategy.

We were working directly with the founder of the agency, their PPC specialist was also involved at some point.

The project is still ongoing, we are currently rebuilding our website and create content for the campaign we planned together.

The workflow was very good, they were always very responsive. I really appreciate their honesty and proactive approach - they were sharing a lot of ideas, asking questions, and trying to bring us as much value as possible.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have extensive knowledge about digital marketing and the IT industry (which is not that common combination). As said before, I really appreciate their honesty and general approach - you can easily tell they really care about their clients and their success. If they didn't see that a planned activity can be profitable for us, they would advise us not to do it - even if it resulted in decreasing the scope of our cooperation. I also appreciate their involvement - they asked a lot of questions, shared many ideas and feedback.

The reports/docs that they shared were a bit chaotic, so they could perhaps work on that a bit.
