What challenge were you trying to address with Zappter AG?

We hired Zappter for mobile application development services.

What is the scope of their involvement?

Zappter AG has developed a customized planning tool for our sales reps which they currently host and maintain. The platform is a native app for iOS and Android, and they've designed it using Figma.

To jumpstart the process, we briefed them on how our system works, and they proposed mock-ups of how they could improve it based on our feedback. We also provided them with all the required processes to digitize so they could start with the development of the product. Zappter AG's team developed it on their proprietary no-code platform, which was important for us because that made it much more affordable than our other alternatives.

Regarding features and functionalities, people can log in, see which territories they should go after, and record what they've done. Moreover, managers can review the results, measure performance, and assign who goes where.

We've worked with three Zappter AG team members, including a tech specialist, someone in charge of gathering and mock-ups, and our account manager.

A friend who used their services referred them to us.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we've spent around $40,000 with them.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in February 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, we have 100% uptime, the response rate is concurrent, and our salesforce productivity has increased. In addition, we've never had any slowness or bugs on the app. By introducing the app, we aim to reduce our coordination workload by about 50%, making everything very smooth.

How did Zappter AG perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management revolves a lot around mock-ups, which we like. Regarding tools and communication, we use ClickUp, Jira, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The speed at which they come up with the app is remarkable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no complaints about their work.

Any advice for potential customers?

Invest enough time in the concept phase when they do the mock-ups. That helps to get clarity as to how the product will look and avoid writing lengthy requirements documents.

For what projects/services did your company hire Zappter AG, and what were your goals?

I wanted to create a mobile app for my clients and users so that they could conveniently use all the helpful services from their phones. The app should be easy to update in the backend.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was looking online for a German-speaking app developer provider. After comparisons with competitors, Zappter convinced me with their price-performance ratio.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

There was an introductory video call where I could ask my question and they could reassure me what was feasible and what wasn't. Then I created the concept with all the points that were important to me, including a design proposal. Zappter implemented this step by step. There was a second video call in which I saw the app draft and was able to approve it. After my corrections, the app was then finalized and released by the providers.

I was in contact with 2 people. I don't know how many were involved in the background of the app.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's still too early for that.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication is easy to handle via e-mail or via platform chat. The Zappter team usually responds within 24 hours or less.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The service that they provide for my app for such a fair price is impressive. And also the speed with which this was implemented.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, when the app was published, an error message kept appearing for a long time without the reason being known. But this was soon remedied. Not all major e-mail providers are offered for implementation yet, I would like that and also that you can have the app created in your own name.

Our company's service is fully developed by Zappter. The CTO there - Haroun Ben - is a "crack" and helped us with lots of troubleshooting. he still does! The modular construction of zappter makes it very simple for us to develop our product.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I knew the company from past projects they made so I have already been in contact with them. Especially with Haroun Ben who was my contact person at zappter. and so when he told me about the zappter strategy I came up with the idea to make a business using zappter. and until now it works fine for both of us.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

so first you start with a basic online store. you can already start and sell products and leave it there. in most cases you will come up with ideas to develop your online store. then you can buy moduls to enhance your store. "inventory" for example to track all the products and make sure that nowone is going to guy a product which you do not have in stock. and so on you can choose from a variety of moduls. there is also a designer online where you can design your app as you wish.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

we now have 20 customers which are using our solution. from schools to Swiss governments over to little bars.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

during integrations of new moduls we have a kick-off meeting where we plan the process and what to test together. then we fulfill the integration and test it. it depends on the result if we must schedule more meetings and testings or if we can go live with it. One thing to say, their team will never let us down if something is not working properly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

if there is an issue, I can call them literally minutely and they are very responsive. also they are interested to get rid of the problem even faster than I am.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If there are many projects at the same time, they might set priorities differently than I would. I only think of my webshop, they have to think of hundreds so I have to understand it.
