We engaged Yoocollab to assist with the development of a mobile application as part of our broader trading platform project, which included both a web portal and mobile apps for iOS and Android OS. Due to the complexity of the project and tight deadlines, we opted to scale our internal team to ensure timely delivery.

Yoocollab provided a dedicated development team of 5 high quality specialists (2 Kotlin developers, 2 Swift developers, 1 QA tester) within 2 weeks. As Yoocollab was very quick in providing the right candidate, we were able to confirm the project and start working with the client in just 10 days. The feedbacking from the client’s side is also satisfying.

The workflow was very smooth. Everything was completed on time and the communication between us was held via google meet and telegram. The team was very responsive.

I appreciate that they give several candidates for us to choose from and organize all the interviews themselves. It is also very important that they are in constant touch with us and if we need to clarify something regarding the developers, they are really very responsive.

I’m the director of a telecom and finance company.

What challenge were you trying to address with YOOCOLLAB?

We wanted to develop an app with good UI/UX designs and had a low budget at the beginning. Our team was looking for a partner with good development capabilities and affordable prices.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

YOOCOLLAB handles custom software and mobile app development for us. The first app was a telecom project. The platform allows users to make phone calls from all over the world. They can also make payments through PayPal and credit cards. YOOCOLLAB designed and built the app using PHP and React. We gradually expanded the platform and it eventually joined a larger company for a money remittance application.

There was also a project to develop a financial system. It’s a back-office main system, a frontend for businesses, and applications for iOS and Android. We have a team heading them on our side with a CTO and programmers but most of the work is done by them. We check everything and then upload it into production.

Now we work with them on many other projects. Currently, we’re building a totally new system consisted of a microsystem, and it’s being built on Java and Node.js.

What is the team composition?

We have a team of 14 developers, UI/UX designers, and QA testers.

Our ongoing partnership started in June 2016. I can’t see our engagement ending because of the savings we have and the quality we get. This is a long-term partnership.

We’re always impressed with their dedication, expertise level, and their turnover is low. We use Jira, Zoho, and one other tool for project management.

In terms of quality, it’s possible to get quality everywhere. However, in terms of dedication, follow-up, and the fact that they’re always engaged — YOOCOLLAB really stands apart from their competitors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their marketing could use some improvement. They’re not spreading the word about their company well enough. They ask for word of mouth, which works to an extent, but they’re not putting themselves out there enough.
