Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

1. Data wrangling involving a Python script that was written that took as input multiple excel files (study design matrix, DCE choice data, participant covariates, participant time logs) generated by Surveyengine, and produced a single excel file in the correct format for use as input into the statistical analysis software (STATA). This script was deployed on Google Colab, and the researcher will be onboarded on Google Colab.
2. Supporting the analysis of discrete choice experiment data

1. Merged datasets with correct number of variables and participants in the required format for analysis
2. Sufficient analysis as per study objectives

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

In line with our commitment to creating education opportunities that will enhance medical and scientific research in South Africa and the rest of the African continent, the objective of this training initiative is to build in-house capacity for the application of machine learning methods in current and future health research projects.
The following three key deliverables were achieved:
1. A pre-course workshop
2. Development of digital course materials
3. An on-site introductory course in machine learning methods

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

A large number of data scientists attended the training and a number of them have continued working on machine learning models and applying the methods learnt. The remaining have acquired additional ML literacy that benefits them in their own research.

Their project management was excellent, the delivery timely and they were quick to respond and adjust to our needs.
