I’m the VP and CIO for Anthroware, a creative agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wiliams CPA PLLC?

Our previous accounting firm gave us a lot of really bad advice and did a halfway job providing payroll, tax documents, and filing. They really didn’t know anything about accounting. We hired Williams CPA PLLC to figure out what we’re doing wrong, get us back on track, and fix the problems that were created.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mira (Owner & CPA) handles our taxes and provides financial consulting. Her involvement in financial consulting has increased as we’ve grown and become more profitable. She handles a lot of our filings when we do work in other states.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with Mira.

How did you come to work with Williams CPA PLLC?

One of our team members recommended her.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $2,000 a year with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2016 and the relationship is currently ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Mira has given us peace of mind and confidence. My partners and I all use her to do our personal tax expenses. It’s easy for her to do both business and personal taxes and it closes the loop between so no information is lost. There is peace of mind in knowing that when we make decisions, she researches anything before counseling us.

How did Williams CPA PLLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re in contact probably once a month, through equal parts phone and email. During tax season we are in contact much more frequently.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When she is working with me, I get the impression that I’m the only person that matters right now, which is really incredible. She also is good at making sense out of the chaos and helping me to understand it as the customer. Since she does it well with my business partners who understand information differently than I do, she’s clearly listening and able to adapt.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are a few services that I want that she doesn't offer. I understand that’s a business decision on her part, but it would be so convenient to go to more of a one-stop-shop.
