I’m the president and owner of Evan's Florist Limited, and we are a flower shop.

What challenge were you trying to address with West Coast Floral?

West Coast Floral works as our shipper and supplier of floral products and plants.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They are one of my main suppliers of flowers. I get an email from them once a week about what products are available. I can pick and email my order to them, and they will let me know if there are certain products that are not available. If I am looking for certain plants or products, they also keep an eye out and try to find them at the market for me.

What is the team composition?

I communicate directly with my main point of contact, which is my salesman. They also have a receptionist who will put me through with anyone in their company even during the pandemic.

How did you come to work with West Coast Floral?

I took over the flower shop 13 years ago, and I continued our partnership with West Coast Floral. They’ve been a supplier of my store for more than 50 years.

How much have you invested with them?

I don’t have the exact numbers, but the cost is somewhere around $624,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve worked with them since 2008, and we continue to use their services.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of the products is good, and they last a long time. The products are shipped so well that they’re hardly ever damaged. They're very good at getting the products to me in a good condition, and that's a big deal for us and our customers.

How did West Coast Floral perform from a project management standpoint?

It's very easy to get a hold of them since they respond to emails and messages right away. Everything runs smoothly, and I haven't had any big issues. During the pandemic, when they are working at home, I am able to get my messages to them and they call to discuss any problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by the consistency of their products. The quality is very high, and that's why I use them quite often. There have been times that I've been missing 1–2 things, but the overall quality and the way things are packed and shipped make up for it — there's very little damage in shipping.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think it would be nice if they had more variety of products. I know that they have talked about expanding on some certain things, but with the pandemic, there's been a lot of shortages in the industry. However, they're doing their best to overcome it.

Any advice for potential customers?

They're available through email, and they're very fast at responding to requests and problems. This is a big deal because there are some places where you order from and don't hear anything until you receive the products. However, with West Coast Floral, you can email them and receive a message back within two minutes.
