We’re a large pharma company, with 300,000 employees in China. Most recently, we’ve delivered a COVID vaccine for the entire world.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webstream Communications Group?

With the COVID situation, we had to go digital in terms of our promotional activities and we needed a better website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with Webstream Communications Group to develop a website for webcasts and to host those webcasts. We have different series of webinars for each brand, featuring well-known physicians. We have a worldwide audience

We gave them the majority of the information for the site, and Webstream gave us some support on the artwork and images. The page has functionalities for email and Google calendars, and it sends out reminders before the meetings.

For each webinar, we will have a pre-call on the specifics of what we need. We discuss the topic and the scope of the audience, and we set up rehearsals with the speakers.

The team size depends on the project. We’ll work with 1–2 people from Webstream Communications Group for ordinary meetings, and there will be one account manager and three or more IT engineers for bigger programs.

Webstream Communications Group is reliable, they offer good-quality services, and they have reasonable pricing, compared to the other companies we’ve worked with.

We’re getting a good number of viewers for each of our webinars.

We’re pretty satisfied with their punctuality and scheduling. We communicate mainly through email.

Webstream Communications Group has continued to update their webinars page, and it’s gotten better and better.

We’re a pharmaceutical company with a global headquarters in Japan. I’ve been the local marketing head in Mumbai for the last two years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webstream Communications Group?

Meeting doctors in person can be difficult at times. We went to Webstream for virtual support in connecting to doctors across the country and outside of India.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve taken support from Webstream in the recording of doctors at various centers across the country. They also take care of webcasting events in the form of panel discussions, board meetings, or meet-the-expert meetings.

Their team is providing the streaming platforms used, which includes their own product. We’ve used Zoom, Skype, and other platforms when the doctor was more comfortable with those. They have the flexibility to offer the appropriate platform for our services.

Before Zoom came in, they were using Webstream.com, which is browsable through any device type or browser. It gave us larger flexibility, but some doctors prefer Zoom. They’ve produced doctor videos for media programs, handling the conceptualization and scriptwriting.

I’ve worked with them on various campaigns I’ve run in different cities.

I’ve worked directly with three people from Webstream, members of their support team, and executive assistants. I’ve connected with the head of their Indian operations, and I’ve been to their office as well.

There are 4-5 people assigned to any given project with different job responsibilities.

How did you come to work with Webstream Communications Group?

I’ve been working with them since their inception 13-14 years ago. We’re a small company, and virtual programs to connect doctors across the country was a new thing then.

Webstream proposed the project to me, and I thought that it would be something contemporary that doctors would appreciate. It was well-received, and we’ve used them for event webcasting subsequent to that.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of any individual project is always more than $10,000. Over the years, my overall cost has gone above $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

For my current company, I started working with them in May 2019. The latest project started in late January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of the videos they’ve produced is extremely good.

My company rolled out a webcasting activity to another agency at a lower cost. However, they backed out 48 hours before the event. Webstream cost around 30% more than that agency, but they were 100% confident about being able to deliver. They did a wonderful job. I definitely give a lot of credit to them for that.

They’re highly professional, delivering on their commitments.

Their video conferencing platform is extremely user-friendly, and I haven’t had any challenges with it. It gives us multiple ways to connect with the doctors. I conducted a full three-day web conference with them. Doctors received event reminders once they registered on the platform, both through email and text.

It was a very useful tool for doctors to attend meetings. In today’s context, doctors are extremely busy, and these reminders make everything efficient.

How did Webstream Communications Group perform from a project management standpoint?

I never had an issue with their streaming, aside from internet problems. We’ve had videoconferences connecting doctors from various cities, and it’s always been glitch-free.

Their team is using software to send us customized quotes in a secure manner. They give us deliverables in line with our expectations, and their tools are useful to us. They’re constantly evolving in this respect.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their professional attitude toward delivering to our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

A lot of vendors chase their customers to keep and get more business; Webstream doesn’t do that. It’s a good thing for me. If that’s something they want to do to expand their business, it’s their choice, but I think they’re managing their business professionally.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d definitely recommend them to someone that asked me about webcasting or video production services, with the note that, if they want cheaper services, Webstream likely isn’t the right choice.

If someone wants a high-quality, professional outcome, they should go to Webstream. They’re not significantly more expensive than other vendors, but the deliverables are assured, and they’re good value for money.
