Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The client had tight deadlines in which he wanted to release the product. WebSailors joined the work on the project on time. As a result, they developed the front-end and back-end parts and created a full-fledged remote banking service. The team has implemented a functional and user-friendly interface. The user can see up-to-date information on cards, accounts, deposits and loans, and the convenience of navigation makes it easy to make payments and request reports.

The team flexibly reacted to all changes in the project. We were in touch in chat and at scheduled meetings and we often discussed with them how to improve our project work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Extensive technical expertise, readiness to work with complex projects that require non-standard business-oriented solutions. They work very independently - don't need to be controlled. I enjoyed working with them.

WebSailors.pro is developing the front- and backend of our website. They also did the design. They use Python for coding, and the framework is Django. We finished the MVP version of our project in August 2019 and have started testing it with our partners. 

WebSailors.pro is still working on our project. We’ve become a part of Oracle and are working to integrate with a hotel system. It will allow us to synchronize with hotels and book their meeting rooms on our platform.

The quality of the code is good. We’re satisfied with the team, their results, and the time in which they work. The whole team at WebSailors.pro is deeply involved in the project. 

How did WebSailors.pro perform from a project management standpoint?

They gave us a committed project manager that can tell us where we are and what else we should do for development. We have a daily 30-minute call with all members of the team. If we have questions, we can ask the team directly. We also have a document that says that they should report to us each week. It’s a more formal report that we get. We use Jira as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They give us feedback daily so that we can easily see where we are in our strategic plan. When there’s an issue, they give us a chance to see how we want to proceed. We can skip some tasks or choose to develop them and solve the problem. This regular feedback helps us go fast and accomplish our strategy.

There’s nothing I’d have WebSailors.pro improve.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebSailors.pro is developing a marketplace web application where customers can book reservations. I defined the commercial requirements and they translate those into technology requirements. They provided a scope for the project and then executed that scope chunk by chunk in manageable phases. WebSailors.pro is responsible for building the entire software system, including the front- and backend. It's a React application using Node.js on the backend.

I interact with a director as well as the head developer of my project.

How did you come to work with WebSailors.pro?

There's no shortage of outsourced agencies in and around Eastern Europe. I had a good feeling about them after speaking with the director. They came across as transparent and able to help me get started as smoothly as possible.

Work began in November 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We now have a fully working prototype. It's not market ready only because I keep increasing the scope. There’s more value in building out prototype level functionality rather than releasing market-ready smaller products right now.

How did WebSailors.pro perform from a project management standpoint? 

They work above and beyond to make sure deadlines are reached. They also stay up to date with the most modern technologies. It's been quite a smooth experience.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

WebSailors.pro provides rapid execution from iteration and instruction to development. It's occasionally even too fast. Sometimes I'm not ready to give them additional instructions but they've already finished the existing work. They're very efficient. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No, the only thing I’ll say is that their staff is currently learning English. The better they get, the smoother the communication will be. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Timelines and time zones can be a struggle. Depending on where you are, they could be anywhere from 3–10 hours ahead. Your office may be open when their office is closed. They're making efforts to establish an office in London to resolve that issue.

They’ve definitely been helpful. They work fast, and the code is clean, so we don’t have any complaints. We’ve been happy as the developer has been really strong.

We’ve mostly managed the project on our side. They’re very well organized—we communicate with the first developer who oversees the second. There hasn’t been a time where they have delayed us; it’s been the other way around.

We started off using Jira, but now we use monday.com, with Slack once in a while if we have any questions. They definitely communicate what has been done very well.

We’re happy and have had a good experience with them. In the past, we haven’t always been happy with our partners, but WebSailors.pro has always been helpful to us.
