I own a couple of companies. One is a photo and video editing service; another shoots video and photos for real estate agents.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Webixion Technologies?

We needed a system that photographers could use to upload their photographs and that we could use to edit those and share back the edited versions. It needed to be user-friendly for multiple users including editors and their supervisors as well as me as the administrator. I needed someone to design and build this extensive technical database system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webixion developed our web application with integrated databases and multiple levels of use and administration. The site is now finished but I’m making some additions that we hadn’t foreseen at the start of the project.

We initiated projects via Skype. I also took two extended trips to India to work with them directly.

What is the team composition?

I communicated directly with the company’s owners.

How did you come to work with Webixion Technologies?

I originally contacted them through an outsourcing site for a smaller job that they did for me. Later, when I wanted to outsource this project, I found their site via an online search. I didn’t realize they were the same company I worked with in the past until they pointed it out to me. I knew they had done a great job on that earlier job.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent about $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2016 and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The finished product is everything I hoped it would be and more. Because they’ve done such a good job, now that I’ve started to use it, I’m asking for additions that can make it even better. The scope of the project was larger than I realized it would be when we started—and they’ve been great all along the way.

How did Webixion Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Asana to list and track tasks but I usually call them to explain things verbally.

Their responsiveness is impeccable. I've never sent an email or Skype message that wasn’t responded to either the same day or, if it was after hours their time, the next day. I’ve never waited more than 24 hours to get a response.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very good at listening to the client's needs. With companies I’ve worked with in the past, you think that they’ve understood you but, in fact, they haven’t listened properly and they give you back something completely different than what you asked for. Listening is one of Webixion’s best attributes. There’s no back-and-forth. They listen to what you want and deliver it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you found them, don't look anywhere else. You're going to get a good job at a very reasonable rate. I would recommend them to anyone.
