Web Development
In the initial phase, the website had multiple key features such as emergency shipping and automatic pairing without manual intervention. However, with time, these features became obsolete due to multiple reasons.

Granular Parcel Level Tracking: In the testing phase, there was no way to track a shipment. However, this was changed to a detailed tracking system, so the customers will know exactly where their shipment is at the time.

Smart Instalment Delivery: Earlier, in the case of multi-parcel shipment, unless the entire shipment has been received at the assigned center, the shipment was not allowed to be dispatched. This changed in the newer version. The parcel that arrived first, was dispatched first, regardless of the shipment status.

Custom Duty Calculator: In the previous version, since the orders were prepaid, and there was no way to calculate the duty charges, the customers often had to pay more or less than the actual amount quoted. Hence, the latest version had an in-built custom duty calculator, along with manual category segregation in order to validate them well before they are processed.

Custom Agent Admin Access: The custom agents at the airport, who do not work for our Client, are allowed to access the admin area in order to validate necessary documents that hold important information regarding the shipment, the traveler, or the courier partner carriers.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Voyey, a logistics and shipping company that does parcel delivery overseas. If someone in the US wants to buy something from France, we can get it to them in a day.
I’m responsible for delivering and building the app.
What challenge were you trying to address with Webforest Agency LLP?
We needed to build our website and web app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Webforest Agency LLP helped us build our MVP. We’re located in France, and their teams are based in India. We worked collaboratively on design and features.
The three main things we were working with them on is the duty-free model. We’re able to let clients buy goods overseas and automatically get them duty-free without taxes. We also built a parcel tracking system, and we developed a full user interface that’s responsive on laptops, mobile devices, and tablets.
The backend was built in Laravel, and the frontend was done in Angular, HTML, and CSS.
What is the team composition?
We work with six people, including a project manager, a frontend developer, two designers, and two backend developers.
How did you come to work with Webforest Agency LLP?
I believe we met on a design forum. I posted a question on the platform, and their team answered. After that, we started to work together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Webforest Agency LLP started in November 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The success rate has been very good so far. We receive more than we expect from them, remaining satisfied. We’re a specific business, and when we launched, we went from zero to 2,000 subscribers in three months.
We have 2,000 subscribers, and effectively, we have 250 paying customers. We have received a lot of good feedback.
How did Webforest Agency LLP perform from a project management standpoint?
Our standards of project management differ. They’re doing well, but it can be better.
We used Github, Trello, Slack, and Skype for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team learns fast. If customers ask for something new, they’ll learn and deliver.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When it comes to project management and timeline visibility, they could improve. But, this isn’t only their fault – our way in Europe is different. We’re working on improving and adapting to each other.

Webforest Agency LLP is committed to their work. Their subcontractors are even committed to reaching the targets we have. It’s been a real pleasure to work with them.
