I’m the CEO and founder of a skincare brand. We offer e-commerce services.

What challenges were you trying to address with Wave Group?

Wave Group assists us with finance management and back-office administration services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have two ongoing projects with them. As a small and young startup, we initially needed some support with our finances, so we could start with our fundraising activities. Wave Group worked to set a good structure in place. As for the back office, they help us with various administrative services. 

They provide more of a consulting-style service. The team has suggested technologies for us to use to better manage our accounting, payments, and other processes.

What is the team composition?

We work with four people from the team.

How did you come to work with Wave Group?

I met them at a startup program organized by Google that we participated in. They were there as speakers for finances so I contacted them. I checked out a few other options before making my final decision, but Wave Group ended up being the best fit. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since partnering with Wave Group, we’ve seen a great growth in our company and an increase in sales. Before, we used to take care of everything ourselves, which didn’t allow us to focus entirely on our own business. With personalized attention, they’ve provided us with great structure that’s enabled us to network, fundraise, and run our business.

How did Wave Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They have suggested project management tools for us, at the moment we are using Asana, Trello, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Wave Group has helped us reduce costs and find the right financial strategies. Especially given the current health crisis, they’ve helped us not only survive the hard times, but actually grow.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their reports could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They adapt to their customers’ needs, and if you come with them with clear expectations, it will work well for you.

What challenges were you trying to address with Wave Group

We specialize and invest most of our resources in development but at some point, I noticed that we were not giving enough attention to our legal and financial areas inside the company. So we hired Wave to provide us consulting services in these areas to help us achieve better financial planning, a better fiscal strategy, and greater order in our legal area.

They provided consulting services only. 

What is the team composition?

We work with three members of the Wave Group team.

How did you come to work with Wave Group

They are well known in the entrepreneurship sector here in Mexico. They specialize in startups and technology companies so we knew they had worked with other companies like ours before. 

How much have you invested in them?

We invest around $3,000 a month.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing relationship with Wave Group began in August 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They helped us establish a new department in our company that didn’t exist before, specialized in the legal and financial areas. We didn’t have a great knowledge in many compliance and legal matters so this has allowed us to organize and actually save in taxes on 40%, we have established new processes and have achieved greater clarity.

How did Wave Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We managed everything via phone calls and video conferences. As for deadlines we’ve had some setbacks but this has happened because we have managed processes that involve government offices and so on and they tend to take long.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are great at adapting their strategies to the needs of the company and the industry. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe try to speed up some processes. I know it doesn’t depend on them all the time but we would love it if it could be faster.

We hired Wave Group for their business consulting services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provide consultations specifically on the soft-landing of our foreign companies’ arrivals, those companies’ incorporation into the country, and administrative matters.

What is the team composition?

I work with about three people.

How did you come to work with Wave Group?

I met the company’s founder some years ago, and he mentioned the services that Wave Group offers. When we came up with this project idea, we did an initial test with them and the project continued to grow.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2020, and the project is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very agile and explicit in all their processes so our clients can clearly understand the norms of the country. Wave Group also provides very personalized service to each of the companies involved in this project.

How did Wave Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via phone calls. Communication is constant, and they’re always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their agility in processes. They’re very clear and aware as well as provide agile and timely deliveries.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At the moment they’re only working for companies in Latin America, so if they could expand to other regions that’d be a great upgrade.
