The team helped us build our online store for ModestBeauty from the ground up using Shopify. They assisted in selecting a theme and customized it to reflect our brand identity. The scope included setting up all essential store functionalities like product pages, checkout, filters, and multilingual support (English, Russianm Ukrainina, Turkish, Arabic). They also integrated third-party apps for reviews and marketing (Klaviyo), configured payments and shipping, and provided comprehensive training materials. The entire development process was smooth, and we received a fully functional, beautifully designed online store ready for global launch within 6 weeks.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of the key success metrics for us was launching the landing page before our event in Jakarta, which we achieved right on time. While we haven’t started selling yet, the project still delivered measurable value through its timely delivery, low number of bugs, and efficient issue resolution. Any bugs or issues we reported were typically addressed within 1 business days and sometimes even faster, which helped us stay on schedule and maintain confidence in the platform’s stability. The site was production-ready and functionally complete, which allowed us to move forward with our marketing and outreach as planned.

We communicated primarily through Telegram, and the project manager, Sergey, was always available and highly responsive. His constant presence and quick replies significantly increased our trust and the overall quality of collaboration. The team didn’t treat us just like a typical customer — they worked with us as true partners. They proactively offered advice, provided support, and implemented changes whenever possible with impressive speed. Deliverables were provided on time, and their flexible, consultative approach made the entire process smooth and efficient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most was their attitude toward the work and their proactive, consultative approach. This was my first experience with Shopify and launching an e-commerce business, and from the very first call, Konstantin stood out by recommending a suitable theme and clearly outlining the potential scope and budget. He also offered valuable guidance on how to organize logistics for global sales — something other vendors struggled to grasp quickly. Unlike others, their team demonstrated a deep understanding of the business right away.

Additionally, their openness, high responsiveness, and reliability truly set them apart. The most important thing for me was the confidence that everything would be delivered on time and with high quality — and they never let me down.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Walnut Digital could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be conducting a final full demo session at the end of development. This step was somewhat missed in our process, and having a structured walkthrough before final acceptance would have helped ensure alignment and closure.

That said, I’m planning to continue working with Walnut Digital long-term. I’d appreciate it if they could share any backlog they’ve created for my project and support the full e-commerce store launch — ideally including at least basic setup for Google Ads marketing. Their expertise and responsiveness make them a valuable partner for the next stages of the project.

Together with the Walnut team, we developed a template for our newsletter and based it on our initial three automated chains: a welcome chain, an abandoned cart reminder, and cross-sell recommendations.
Each chain contains several uniformly designed emails that are sent automatically at specific intervals based on defined triggers.

My expectations regarding accessibility, quality, and clarity of communication were met throughout the project. It took a bit longer because we weren't able to deliver and release content quickly enough, so I expect Walnut would have completed the project much faster if we had made it possible. I found the collaboration very pleasant, and even unexpected problems were resolved efficiently and at no extra cost.

Their team was highly knowledgeable in their field. In my case, experience in work with Shopify was the biggest challenge/need and a team of Walnut was really good-educated in it.
