Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO and one of the co-founders of kulaBrands, a community-based shark tank that funds and launches new companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vizz Web Solutions?
We needed a development partner to help build some of the products funded by kulaBrands.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Vizz Web Solutions builds different technologies as needed per project. The team’s development capabilities range from iOS and Android to complete web system.
What is the team composition?
We have two main points of contact, but there’s a larger team in place to support us. In total, there are 22 programmers, as well as different groups who are responsible for algorithms, charts, databases, and other support. Vizz Web Solutions has also brought in a complete marketing team.
How did you come to work with Vizz Web Solutions?
We found and hired Vizz Web Solutions after beginning our search for offshore providers.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $500,000-$1,000,000 on this engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
One of the projects Vizz Web Solutions developed for us was an automated algorithmic trading system. I’ve never seen one work as successfully as the one the team built.

How did Vizz Web Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Our project manager is dedicated to delivering quality work. If something doesn’t seem right, he’ll bring it to the team’s attention, and they’ll work on it until it’s corrected. He has an excellent ability to grasp new concepts and implement them in development.
Most of the communication between our teams takes place over the phone, though we do use an internal project management system we built. Our staff posts tasks, and their team works on them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
There have been several time crunches throughout our partnership on various projects. Vizz Web Solutions has always been willing to work at any time when the timeline demands it. Their dedication is far superior to what we’ve experienced with other companies.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Initially, we experienced some challenges with the language barrier between our teams, especially with junior programmers. However, that has lessened over the years as the team is constantly working to improve and minimize any misunderstandings.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We’ve really benefitted from using diagrams and visual aids when giving direction, to keep communication simplified.
