Each day we can see the progress made by the designer on Slack and Figma, validate each iteration and continue. Calls by slack were also made to be sure all was clear and well defined.

All items were delivered fastly and the communication with Visux was also great. Every time we asked for an information or precision we had the answer just after.

Their process is very clear, and their communication is impressive. They also deliver fast and their wireframes are great. Their design system is also well-managed and we get what we expected.

I am the Director of Marketing for Injective Labs. Injective Labs is a software development company within the blockchain industry. We are one of the contributors to a blockchain called "Injective", which specializes in providing solutions for DeFi applications.

We hired Visux to help us recreate the website for Injective.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We went through an extensive sourcing project for the right design agency. One of the main reasons why we selected this vendor was that they had the right design skills but also allowed for our team to play a large role in the process of ideation. Because blockchain and crypto is very difficult to understand, we were looking for a team that had more of the understanding for webpage UIUX, but also good at creating abstract imagery to help explain a difficult concept to a wider audience.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project occurred in mainly two components:

1. Pre-design research
2. Design Within the pre-design research, the first thing that we did was create a sitemap. Visux did competitive research on what other websites had and then the Injective Labs team cross-corrected and we came up with what the final pages of the website.

Then, Visux went into creating moodboards. Dependent on what Injective Labs wanted (i.e. wanted it to feel like a finance company, but incorporate blockchain ideology and abstract visuals), Visux came back with competitive research and images on the best colorways and how to tell that story visually. Once that was completed, then came time for Visux to create wireframes for all the pages. Locking down the homepage probably took the most amount of time, as it is the first page that a user sees. This also was true when we got into the actual design phase, which was what occurred right after wireframes were locked. I think the largest difficulty for Visux was how to translate blockchain technology into actual images. But once the homepage got locked down, the other pages easily followed.

I had a kick off with the CEO, Bartek Bednarski. But my day-to-day communications occurred with Lukasz Jackiewicz and Olga Murzova. Lukasz is the Head of Design and Olga is the Product Designer on their team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project hasn't launched yet because development is occurring on our side. The team was only responsible for the design and files. But through sharing with internal team members and external partners, there is a consensus that the webpage is much clearer than before.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was a bit difficult to start off with due to the fact that the blockchain industry is not as easy to understand off the bat. But I think that once we locked down a few of the major elements of design and also wireframes, Visux was able to get into a better understanding of what we wanted and expected. The one thing that I had mentioned was that for a project this large, it would've been helpful if there was a project manager involved who was able to keep track of next steps, what was needed from each side, taking notes, etc. so that it wasn't expected out of the client. But the project ended up being larger than I think both our teams expected

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were willing to really understand the needs of the client. I also think that for a small team, even if they didn't have the abilities to create something (like a 3D render for an image), they had the resources/connections to be able to get that done for the client at the end of the day.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Main thing would have been having the project have a project owner who can schedule and set calls, follow up with needs, make sure that things were staying on track or be visible when things are going out of track/over budget.

We had a sharp deadline to deliver the visuals in a few weeks so we had to every focused. The client was very demanding and had deadlines and we had to hit them.

I think that some flexibility :) They use the best practices on the market and it's good but in some cases, you need to break rules to achieve some goals of the client (deadlines, budgets etc).

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve created my logo, made graphics, built UI elements, and done interface design for our platform. Our original logo had been created many years before, but they essentially started from scratch when they approached the project. At the time, we wanted to redefine our branding altogether.

They helped us pivot by completely redesigning the logo. On the UI side, they’ve taken on complex interface design. We’ve had them design back-end CRM interfaces as well as consumer-facing interfaces. I’m able to give them an open invitation to be creative with a concept or attack the problem with me through a design workshop.

I worked with one main point of contact. He’s the founder of their company and has really become a friend to me over the course of our relationship.

It was a landing page, showing all the essential features of Open Kudos bot. Nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks to the implementation of this landing page we began promoting our bot and quickly noticed an increase of the number of installations.

It was practically flawless. We shared a brief with them, they delivered the concept we enjoyed and after our acceptance of the direction, they delivered the project in the estimated time.

They are experienced so you don’t have to do a lot of explaining, they just feel what you need. They also delivered the project really fast and there was no need to make any corrections. Bang for your buck I’d say.

Nothing comes to my mind, the project was too simple and quick to notice anything that could’ve been better.

I’m a CEO of Visuality, a full-stack software development company that designs custom web and PWA applications in Ruby on Rails, Go and React. We work mainly with large ongoing projects for US-based companies.

We’ve hired Visux as an independent contractor in order to be able to deliver high-quality UI/UX design and branding complimentary to the software we design and produce for our clients. We also used Visux’s expertise to create completely new full branding, redesign our website, prepare promotion materials (brochures, leaflets, business cards, t-shirts). They also helped us to prepare UX/UI audits for our clients, as well as prepare marketing materials for them.

What were your goals for this project?

There were multiple projects. Visuality usually handles 4-5 software development projects at once and most of them require constant UI/UX work, design overhauls, improvements, new branding, design audits and much more. The goal for each project was usually the same though - improving conversion rates, introducing a proper, well-tested UX to the applications and focusing on solving business goals through UX/UI design.

How did you select this vendor?

We got recommendations from our former partners and designers that we should hire that team. We met and realized that we were a great match in terms of skill, experience, and values, so we run a trial project and after a successful deliver decided to sign a long-term contract.

As mentioned before, we didn’t hire Visux for just one project. They’ve become an essential partner of Visuality, hence they adopted a name corresponding to ours. Visux was usually starting with gathering clients’ expectations and reviewing the application we were taking-over in order to detect and propose changes that might positively affect the onboarding processes, traffic, and conversion. They were collaborating on that with our marketing department in order to deliver simple or thorough audits documents. After the proposal, a client was choosing the scenario they wanted to follow and Visux was first delivering the mockups, that after acceptation was followed by final designs with branding applied. The team always works with front-end developers on the proper implementation. In some cases, Visux was only auditing and advising the client, without design work

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Outcomes can be seen in Visux’s portfolio and profiles like Behance or Dribble. Overall, Visux team is really good at improving the image, modernizing the look, creating easy onboarding for the users and most importantly improving the conversion for the client. In the case of Visuality’s website, we noticed a spike in the incoming inquiries and good overall clients’ feedback when we asked them about the experience while browsing our website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was definitely effective. We set some ground rules at the beginning of our cooperation and throughout the time we worked out a communication model by applying all the best agile practices. Visux team is highly communicative, speaks good English and is always available when needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are highly skilled and they focus on helping to accomplish the business goals of the client. That approach is not common among the designers who usually just follow the trends without giving the project a deeper thought. Except for the professionalism they are fun to work with and easy-going. I can also say that their rates are very competitive if you look at the level of skill and commitment.

Initially, the audits were going pretty slow but in time the team learned how to accomplish them faster.
