Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of Quantum Materials Corp. We are a Nanotechnology Company that is focused on the development of quantum dots as an enabling material to disrupt the solar and diagnostic healthcare industries.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Vistalore?

Our firm has developed a continuous flow process technology that is used to develop and optimize nanoparticles. Our process has been awarded over 30patents and is unique in may ways one of which is its ability to infinitely change synthesis characteristics and in the process create an enormous amount of data.

We hired Vistalore to sift through our data and develop a platform that would enable us to do predictive analysis to aid and accelerate of discovery and optimization process.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Vistalore had a deep understanding of our particular problem and had very creative ideas on how to best capture and deploy our data that was both very productive and user friendly. Our scientist have found this data analytics tool to be an invaluable addition to our development process and has accelerated discovery in many ways.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

This project was very iterative with a great deal of interaction between the Vistalore team and our scientist. The first stage was for our scientist to share the enormous amount of collected data and then to work with Vistalore to explain the interaction of the collected data points in order to begin to develop a roadmap.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This project has culminated in a powerful tool that is still expanding as we continue to add data to the it. Our continuous flow process alone enabled discovery and optimization of nanoparticles from months to days. With the addition of this data analytics solution we have reduced that time down from days to hours.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Vistalore team was very responsive and had great intuition.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Vistalore team really listen to our scientist. They've invested the time to deeply understand our available data and how to deploy it to gain the advantage we need.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Just wish there were more companies like Vistalore.
