BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the marketing director of a press release, and marketing company which specialises in business mass releases. We have been targeting pharmaceutical companies and their advertising and marketing departments - which areas they focus on, how the spend their budgets, web/ on-the-page etc.

For what projects/services did your company hire Visiongain Limited?

We hired visiongain to put together a report for us on pharmaceutical advertising and marketing in the US and Europe. It highlighted the obligations of the pharma companies to notify on products, the current spends, and future spends - up to 2031 - so a 10 year forecast.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We targeted 3 different companies (we always target 3 companies) - and were able to outline exactly what we wanted. We knew when we asked some of the questions that the answers were impossible, but visiongain were realistic in their promises.

Some of the other companies promised everything - but this worked against them as we knew they couldn't deliver this. We also liked that they were Europe based - rather than based in India - which all these companies are.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

There was a little to and fro about what to put in the report - but it was quite simple. We asked for certain countries and companies to be included for example - and so they were included. Like I said we asked for material we knew was impossible - but they said they would try their best on some of it, and though not all was delivered - more than we expected was.

What was the team composition?

I was the focal point. So I dealt with their client person. Questions were sent to him, and he then dealt with their analysts, and experts and got me answers to my questions. It was quite straightforward.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The report was very good for our figures and detail. We aim to use this report for future planning - so having 10 years of country by country breakdowns was very useful on-going.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was just me that dealt with them. There was 2 in visiongain that I dealt with and it was very smooth. I had their private lines. And email of course.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

How they tried to help. They weren't doing a report on our topic - so we asked them and they said they would do one for us.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

We asked for some specific work, and they delivered. We could have been more specific at the outset - but this was our problem rather than visiongain's. Its worth asking them whatever the problem - and letting them try to help.
