1. I approached Vigo with a brief to design and build a new website that enables me to more effectively showcase a curated exhibition of photographs, fix major performance issues that rendered the experience quite disjointed and develop a truly unique, high performance web experience that attempts to immerse the user in my work. 

2. Vigo recommended commissioning a new website, following a detailed, consultative design process. They proposed the new site was built using Webflow, and took advantage of a number of performance benefits to make the experience faster to load, and remove the perceived layer of technology from the viewing experience to the greatest extent possible.

3. Core design objectives: 
● Allow users to be able to rapidly immerse themselves in stunning, high resolution photographs.
● Create a connection between geographic location, time and the work itself.
● Enable the creation and curation of galleries and oer content admins a variety of layout options from flexible, modular page templates
● Deliver a responsive experience that gives an optimal experience for a range of web browsers and view ports (mobile, tablet, laptop, large screen).
● Create a simple visual brand treatment (brand mark, colour scheme and typography)
● Create a stunning, elegant UI and look and feel, that takes into account interactions and animations to create a premium-feeling experience for users.

4. Core Technical objectives: Vigo precommended building the site using Webflow to build a high performance, stable and scalable web experience with vastly reduced devops and QA overhead. This made it possible to create distinctive, flexible galleries from a series of content blocks, meaning the site could be managed by a content admin with no need for a developer to assist with the majority of content tasks for the life of the website. 

5. SEO, reporting and analytics Vigo:
● Installed Google Analytics 4.0, as well as any other preferred analytics tracking code.
● Installed Google Tag Manager if required
● Connected Google Search Console
● Allow for the creation of custom Google Analytics reports as required.

6. Key features that form the core of the experience include:

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Site speed increased 87% over the existing solution. User engagement increased 76%. The website enabled Anthony Ellis to launch a webshop where users can purchase a selection of his work as framed prints.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vigo has handled the entire web design and development process, from discovery to launching the MVP version of the site. We needed to launch a cut-down version of the website in a very short space of time. We didn't have much imagery or video to work with, as these are being created during the course of the year. The site's MVP comprises a homepage and a contact page.

We had a very strict timeline for the project that Vigo helped us create. The team has adhered to it brilliantly and held us accountable where we were required to deliver mission-critical elements. Traffic to the new website has steadily increased, and we're now delivering the second phase of the project, where we're driving organic SEO and AI optimization. The site has had an 80% month-on-month increase in unique visits, and our bounce rate is holding at about 74%.

Vigo has been brilliant to work with. We're not very experienced in projects like this, but they've been patient and able to drive the project forward, keeping us involved and engaged without overwhelming us with technical decisions. We communicate via in-person and virtual meetings.

The platform was built on Shopify+, React, and React Native technologies, aimed at delivering a seamless and efficient user experience. Which the Vigo Team certainly delivered on. The project was a huge success and our client was very pleased with the outcome.

Ever since its launch, the large membership platform has achieved remarkable success, surpassing all expectations. This extraordinary accomplishment can be largely attributed to the thoughtful and strategic design implemented during its development phase. As a result of this well-crafted approach, the platform has experienced a significant surge in its conversion rates, boasting a remarkable increase of over three times compared to its initial performance. 

The success of the platform can be attributed to several key factors. First and foremost, the user-centric design and seamless user experience have significantly contributed to higher user engagement and satisfaction. The platform's intuitive interface and easy navigation have made it effortless for users to find what they need, resulting in increased conversions and continued user loyalty.
