Friddi is an online gelato shop from Bucharest selling 100% natural artisan gelato and sorbetto and a great range of desserts, gourmet chocolate, speciality coffee and other drinks. They pride themselves on their unique business idea of bringing premium ice cream directly to the customer’s door.
Our main goal for this project was to help Friddi build their online presence and boost brand visibility by adding a new B2C sales channel - an online shop powered by Shopify.
The business’ specific niche required us to create the best possible experience for customers placing an order.
That’s why we first integrated Netopia Payments for their credit card payments and set up an alternative COD (Cash On Delivery) payment method. Then we configured Fan Courier for their deliveries using the xConnector app and created personalised shipping prices and rules for their extensive range of products.
After the products were manually added to the shop, we translated the entire website from Romanian to English to expand their audience and provide a better user experience.
Also, considering Friddi’s highly-customisable product, we created a function on the product page that allows customers to choose the ice cream flavours they want and select the number of cones they need.
As the client wanted to integrate eMag Marketplace with Shopify in real-time with daily stock updates, our team built a custom app that helped them successfully meet all the requirements of their multichannel approach.
Crama Dealul Dorului is a premium Romanian winery with a great selection of internationally appreciated wines. Two of their wine varieties have won medals at the Lyon International Competition 2020 - MAESTOSO MERLOT BARRIQUE 2014 (Silver Medal) and MUSCAT OTTONEL 2018 ZODIAC (Gold Medal).
Our main goal for this project was to help Crama Dealul Dorului improve their online presence through a new B2C sales channel - an online shop powered by Shopify.
Project Implementation For this A to Z eCommerce project for Crama Dealul Dorului, we first configured their online card payments using Netopia Payment, and then we integrated the SameDay local courier service via the xConnector app for their deliveries. Once the shipping prices and rules for their different wine varieties were created, we added shopping filters based on wine types and colours to improve their customers’ navigation experience. We also set up their COD (Cash On Delivery) payment method for those customers that prefer an alternative to credit card payments. The minimalist and intuitive design allows the client to beautifully showcase their high-quality products to their audience and, thus, increase their visibility among wine lovers.

We are an e-commerce business that sells reusable drinkware. I am the CMO.
For what projects/services did your company hire Vevol Media , and what were your goals?
We initially hired Vevol Media for revamping our Shopify Store from a custom theme to a Shopify bought theme, with the goal of being able to customise by ourselves more easily. Vevol Media provided excellent work so we decided to work together again on a CRO project with the goal to improve the on-site conversion rate.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Dan reached out to us via email and after speaking to him, I felt that Dan understood our needs pretty well and provided cost-effective solutions. We just decided to go with Vevol rather than shopping around. It was a good choice.

The scope of work was to increase the on-site conversion rate. Vevol Media proposed a revamp on the Porduct Page by including more sections to enrich the user experience, such as UGC content, lifestyle imageries and customer reviews for social proof. After launching our site for a week, our conversion rate has doubled. We have received great feedback on the UX and look & feel of the website. Amazing work!
