Then we make first connection and I was surprised by the UPP's company profile and showcase. Especially, when I have the chance to see and work with the Chief Data Analytics of UPP, I decide to contract as soon as possible as I was overwhelmed by his technical expertise and professional working style.

During the construction and operation we encountered the following problems. We do not have in-depth knowledge of the technology used. Accompanied by big data problems, the processing performance (Ingest Data, ETL Data) has not been optimized in terms of processing time.

Chaining the system again costs in terms of time, increasing a lot of data that is not updated in time. However, thanks to optimized data query, and structure, there is a system to monitor and fix unexpected problems during data operation.

The project functions well with the contribution of 15 people with the supervision of one of their senior data scientists.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered great outcomes that go beyond our and end users' expectation. Specifically, this Data Management system helps encrypt sensitive data and clearly decentralize the right people, the right authorities, responsibilities, and indirect access. The team proficiently use technology, design as well as clearly organize related component structures to avoid repetition.

Moreover, UPP Insight team members' working attitude was professional. We have a very satisfying working experience with them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Every task is managed in both online and offline platforms to maximize efficiency and productivity. Hence, all people involved can access and understand as well as solve occuring issue immediately by in-person discussion. Besides, as following Scrum, we host daily via Telegram, video call via Google Meet to keep track of the progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their performance is accomplished and followed by their core value, which means they have adaptation, communication, accountability, innovation and diversity. They always tried to deliver products on time and head towards maximum efficiency no matter what issues appear. The outcome is also contributed by good communication between us so that no misunderstanding happens.

UPP built an application that guides patients through medical questionnaires before consultation. The system selects questions based on patient answers so that users only see questions relevant to their symptoms.

They also implemented a workflow where language models generate question sets that doctors can review instead of writing them from scratch. The application connects with our medical record system through APIs so that patient history can be referenced during the questionnaire process. 

On the technical side, the backend was developed in Python using FastAPI and deployed with Docker. Vector storage and experiment tracking were handled with Qdrant and MLFlow. The final delivery included the triage application, the question generation workflow, model monitoring tools, and documentation for our internal team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The time required for the pre-consultation process dropped by about 50%. Most patients completed the questionnaire faster than the previous manual intake process. More than 80% of users rated the questions as clear and easy to answer, and many said they would use the system again.

They delivered the work in stages and kept us updated throughout the project. When doctors requested adjustments to the question flow, those changes were implemented without affecting the timeline.

  UPP first analyzed our entire user base and mapped each person’s daily tasks to the most suitable license type. Then, they created a plan to move selected users to Partner Community licenses. 
 
 They designed and built a custom Experience Cloud portal that included: 
 - Lead views 
 - Opportunity tracking 
 - Reports and dashboards 
 - Chatter access 
 - Custom permissions and role structure 
This portal was designed with a simplified and intuitive interface using Lightning Web Components (LWC). It’s now really easy for users to navigate without needing Salesforce admin-level knowledge. 
 
They also produced training materials, ran onboarding sessions, and provided handover documentation for long-term system management.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

  License expenses reduced by 50–75% for users migrated to Partner Community licenses. 100% of users kept the functions they needed. The new setup is easier to maintain, removes unused access, and allows us to add new users without increasing license costs.
