Upcial is a web design studio in Penang, Malaysia. We build websites for one sector: insurance brokers, reinsurance brokers, loss adjusters, takaful operators and licensed financial advisers.
Most firms in this sector are appointed after a corporate buyer has already looked them up. So we build the page that buyer reads, and we build it to the rules that bind the firm: Bank Negara Malaysia's disclosure requirements for brokers, and the Personal Data Protection Act as amended in 2024.
Here is the part people find strange. We build the homepage first, free, before anything is signed.
A written brief and a finished page are different things. You look at the real thing and decide afterwards.
Every engagement carries a fixed price agreed upfront, a compliance review before design starts, and nine phases with your sign-off at each one. Our rate card is published on our own site and runs from RM 12,000 for a focused build to RM 28,000 and up for a flagship engagement.
Recent work: panaharrison.com, an aviation, marine and specialty risk broker headquartered in Kuala Lumpur with offices in Miri and Singapore, placing at Lloyd's through their group. Live since July 2026.
