Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of Puna Bio (formerly CKAPUR), a biotech company working on biological inputs for agriculture.

For what projects/services did your company hire the-chinos?

Web design from scratch.

How did you select the-chinos and what were the deciding factors?

Referral by other IndieBio companies. Great portfolio.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Kickoff, Web structure, Initial design concept, in-depth section design, UX/UI development. We had weekly meetings with the-chinos, reviewed the progress after each stage, provided feedback, and defined the guidelines for the next stage. The-chinos did an excellent job in implementing the feedback, bringing new ideas, and structuring the process.

How many resources from the-chinos team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We directly worked with 2 project managers but there was also one designer and one web developer involved.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The webpage result was amazing, way better than what we expected. They helped us to move the process forward to finish our website way faster than we would have.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They carried out the process for us, defining the updates, giving us content in advance of meetings, and keeping track of feedback and progress. We also had a great time at meetings, which ended up being moments that we were expecting all week!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they are top-notch designers. They were able to grasp what we wanted for our website very quickly. In addition, they went even beyond that what was expected, suggesting improvement opportunities in our content and being very patient with our requests and iterations.

LIF is a platform that connects clients to restaurants to buy their products at major discounts. This way reducing their products that would have become waste and also obtaining a new form of income. I am currently the Co-Founder and CEO at LIF.

The Chinos had the task of designing and developing our landing page.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A relative hired The Chinos for their landing page. As soon as I saw what it looked like, I was sure The Chinos would be able to meet my requirements.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had the first meeting to discuss LIF's objectives for this page. At this time, we established dates for the next meetings (Which took place every week) to discuss current deadlines. After every meeting, I would have the task of reviewing their work and then sending them an email with corrections. They always met deadlines and developed this website in the established time frames.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In the beginning, I communicated mostly with Emi, the UX/UI designer. We mostly talked about my vision for this project and what I hoped for it to look like. After these meetings, I began to communicate more with Vicky, the project manager. She provided very inciteful ideas for the website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome was beyond our expectations. The design of the website was very modern and greatly portray the values of LIF.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We used email for easier communication and Google Calendar to schedule all our meetings. The timelines were about the UX and UI. They always advanced on the milestones and worked faster than expected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vicky and Emi worked together on this project. In every phone call where the three of us met, they highly collaborated with ideas and their creativity. They had a vision for the website that I was not even able to imagine. I was very impressed when I saw the final outcome. It was also very helpful that they were. very fast at responding to emails. Their communication was very clear. Fantastic team work!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were spot on with what they told me to expect from such a job being done in a short time. Their teamwork is impeccable and their ideas are creative and unique.
