We needed to add new features to an existing iPhone app that they had built two years earlier.
What were your goals for this project?
We have obtained almost 400 airport terminal maps from around the world. I wanted those maps added to the app and overlaid onto Apple Maps on the iPhone, so the user can see where they are in the airport terminal building.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Unicsoft had created the app in the first place and did a good job. I figured that it would be most cost-effective to use the same vendor again.
Describe the project in detail.
A few bug fixes needed to be addressed due to the new iOS 11, but the main task was to incorporate airport terminal map KMZ files into the app and enable the user to see their position on the map. Also, the different layers of the map (terminal, gates, services) needed to be toggled on and off. These maps are in-app purchases. Unicsoft developed a backend system so that I could upload maps as they were created or updated.
What was the team composition?
We were assigned a project manager, a customer rep, a quality control technician, and about two programmers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are in final release now and the app works great!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very good communication. Although Unicsoft has about a 9-hour time difference from me, we had Skype meetings as needed and frequent contact through email. I was always kept in the loop about the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The attention to detail from the Unicsoft team was second to none. They found small bugs that I never saw and took care of them. Some vendors disappear for a few days with no communication, which can be quite frustrating. Unicsoft was always in contact with me, and I never felt that I wasn't getting the full picture. I knew where we were and where we were going with the project.

The core business of my organization was to get projects from the Netherlands to be outsourced and completed here in Ukraine. Unfortunately, my organization does not exist anymore due to the crisis here in Ukraine. I was CEO.

What challenge were you trying to address with Unicsoft?
Unicsoft completed a website project that involved building an application where users can search for the goods of a warehouse.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The app was built with .NET and C++. Unicsoft contributed to the development of the backend and frontend of the app. Web technologies like Ajax and PHP were involved. Their team had a project manager and four developers.
How did you come to work with Unicsoft?
It was a friend of mine who recommended Unicsoft. I had an interview with the project manager and the CEO. It was very relaxed, and he showed me some projects that they did in the past. I was very satisfied. They were the first agency we worked with here in Ukraine.
How much have you invested with Unicsoft?
It was around $5,000. For western standards, it’s very cheap.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from February 2010 to May 2010. The web application is still working.

Our engagement with Unicsoft was very satisfying. They reported everything and delivered the product on time. If there were any issues, they were discussed upfront. They didn’t wait for the problem to occur.

Excellent. They were on top of the project and were very communicative.
What did you most impressive about Unicsoft?
They are a good team to work with. If somebody from the team does not provide quality work, they will replace the person, but that didn’t happen in our project. I would definitely hire them again. If the opportunity arises, I will do business with them whenever possible.

I don’t think so. It is not necessary. They are very professional.
