Previously my team exports construction drawing manually one-by-one. Generally, a set of drawings will have up to 200 page, making the PDF export process lengthy and can take up to 1 man-day. Twine designed and programmed a custom add-on program in the AutoLISP programming language which now compressed the work down to 15 minutes.

We have SaaS HR platform built with a micro service architecture. The goal was to build an entire independant service that would consume some of our internal APIs, and that would allow us to build reports for our customers. The service needed to be thouroughly tested, and ready to deploy within our environment. The deliverable is the source code of the service itself.

The project management was extremely smooth. We did not have to intervene/push from the project management perspective from our side at all. All deadlines were respected without us needing to send any reminder or anything. They had a very good uof our need and understanding of our needs which makes project management related decision (such as prioritization) very easy to make. 

They also offered tremendous flexibility at the times where they needed an input from us before being able to carry on with the project. This is in my opinion extremely rare for such projects and very difficult to achieve. It was only possible once again due to their deep understanding of our needs and also the trust that was established between our teams to work in a very collaborative way (just like one team).

We needed a very user friendly mobile app and accompanying back end / admin portal.

RFPs to 6 companies, 4 responded, and Twine was the unanimous winner based on their in depth questions during the assessments, and their constant suggestions that filled gaps in our responses.

First step was to integrate the new back end they were building with our IoT data sources. From there, defining and refining the front end and back end in tandem, while also starting to build the admin portal.

After initial builds with mock data, real data sources were wired up and tested, with further refinements. Finally, acceptance testing with our company.

3 directly, the founders plus a creative.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We're on the path to commercialization, step 1 was to get the software built. Next steps would be to square away marketing and sales channels, while continuing to do load testing on the software.

Very timely. Twine used modern tools like Figma and then screensharing demos using local emulators, to demo the system in progress.

Their ability to add value not just to the tech, but also the commercial and usability aspects of the project, were key differentiators for us.

None come to mind.

We were taking orders manually from Instagram DMs, this prevented us from taking orders when we were away from our phones and quickly became a problem.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I know the guys at Twine personally and they'd already helped me with my order management system last year. They're experts with years of experience in IT.

I'm not very technical, but it's a web platform that works on all devices. We used the Omise payment platform to accept credit card payments. Orders taken through the platform were automatically integrated with our existing order management system and tied in to Lalamove API for deliveries.

Two people, both developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since launching the platform, which is now available via a link on our Instagram, 100% of our orders go through this new ordering system. We've since received plenty of positive feedback from our customers who find it a lot easier to use. We can also now finally step away from our phones and focus on our core business, which is making delicious doughnuts!

We had intensive meetings in the beginning to agree on the scope of the project and make sure they understood my requirements and budget. They then gave me weekly updates. The project took slightly longer than expected due to delays on-boarding with the payment processing partners.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They clearly understand technology and were able to make changes and adjustments very quickly. We even had to change payment processing partners mid-project because our company didn't meet the minimum requirements for the first candidate.

They were very attentive and easy to communicate with. Also, they were calculative and despite the hurdles we came upon, they went above and beyond within our agreed-upon budget.

Not that I can think of.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve used Twine's report as a basis to move forward to retire our old ERP system and implement a new SAP-based system and a plantation monitoring system. That project is still being implemented, but we have high hopes for increased transparency and efficiency. It should give us almost real-time information to aid our decision-making process. In addition to user feedback, we're expecting to see increased reporting frequency and fidelity.

Twine has been quick to act. We communicate via email, WhatsApp, video calls, and in person.

Twine not only brings new ideas but also gives ideas that make sense with a broader view of the company and industry's present situation and potential needs without frivolous spending.
