I hired them to take care of my accounting almost 15 years ago.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Triple M Professional Corp files my taxes and does my books. Once a month, I give them my paperwork, and Mehran (Partner) takes care of it from there. They always give me business advice and answer all of my accounting questions.

Mehran is my primary contact.

How did you come to work with Triple M Professional Corp?

I went to high school with Mehran. Before I started working with them, I had another accountant that wasn’t doing a good job. Mehran graduated from university, and he came to have a consultation with me. He advised me to incorporate my business because, at the time, I was a sole proprietorship. I took his advice, and the rest is history.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we’ve spent between $30,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in the summer of 2008.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can’t say one bad thing about Triple M Professional Corp. Their customer service is superb. They’re organized and efficient, and I’ve never had an issue. They always get back to me in a timely manner.

How did Triple M Professional Corp perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate through phone and email, but I drop off the paperwork in person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their efficiency is the most impressive. They’re pretty quick.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For most companies, I would say that they need to be more proactive with technology. With Mehran, he has always been ahead of the curve. He’s very on the ball when it comes to that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Everything is by the books and straightforward, so you don’t have to worry about anything. I can be a bit disorganized, and they keep me on track.

We’re a business management software provider for the health and wellness industry. I’m the COO as well as the co-founder.

Back when we were a startup, we were working as cost-effectively as possible while still maintaining quality as it was expected, but we were hoping to bring on growth.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Triple M does all of our accounting and bookkeeping. They're in charge of everything from basic goods and services (GST), harmonized sales tax (HST) submissions, tax filings, review engagements, audits, and notice-to-readers (NTRs). They’ve been here for every stage, and as the business evolved and the covenant got more challenging, they’ve been leading us by walking us through what we should do.
 
What is the team composition?

They have a whole slew of different people that we work with depending on where we need help. For example, if we need tax advice in different countries or someone specific for payroll, they have different people to aid us in that specific area.
 
How did you come to work with Triple M Professional Corp?

We’re all about having long-term relationships; we don’t like to bounce around. Therefore, we did our due diligence and saw that Triple M had all kinds of different clients of different sizes. Since we hoped to be a much bigger company someday, that was the beauty of Triple M.

We realized that if we made a connection with them, we wouldn’t have to transition to a different accounting firm in the future. They’ve been able to be a big part of our organization as we’ve scaled, and they’ve always been there to guide us through the process.
 
What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2011, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re just really committed. Even though their role is to lay out the options, they like to dive deep to understand the decision-making process so the best decision is made. They give us ideas and come up with different scenarios, and then they let us decide in the end. They really behave like a partner.
 
How did Triple M Professional Corp perform from a project management standpoint?

I don’t think I’ve ever met a firm — and truthfully, a partner— that is on point as they are. They’re available on weekends and holidays over text or call – whatever we need. Everything gets done based on the timelines and deadlines that we set, and they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that those goals are achieved.
 
Triple M also embraces the technologies we use. If we’re on Microsoft Teams, they use Teams as well; we used to be on Skype, so they were on Skype. 
 
What did you find most impressive about them?

They know the rules and adhere to them. They guide us through all the different challenges as we continue to grow as a company. We’re in a great place because of them.
 
Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s tough to say; I don’t think they have much to improve. 
 
Any advice for potential customers?

First, know your business, be prepared, and be completely transparent. The more you share with Triple M, the more they can help. If you’re not transparent, you could be setting yourself up for something that doesn’t work for you. When they feel that you’re cooperating 100%, then they do too, and that’s when you form a true partnership.
