Touchlane was hired to develop, test and maintain a mobile application for Android and iOS platforms.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Touchlane was selected for mobile application development before I started as a project manager.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Continuous development with Scrum model. We have backend development, project managements and specifications from Finnish team and mobile application development and testing from Touchlane. Acceptance testing has been done in co-operation with customer.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Touchlane team composition has varied from two to four mobile developers and from zero to one tester.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Approximately 2-4 major releases per year depending on the release size. In addition, several smaller releases based on customer needs.

Project management with Scrum model. Communication and information sharing has been done with Jira, Confluence, Slack and Teams. There have not been any challenges from working from different countries.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have been happy about Touchlane’s ability to react fast on changing customer needs about skill or team composition and efficient development of new features. We have been continuously developing the way of working and team efficiency together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the moment the team is performing very well and no specific areas for improvement. Constant improvements have been done during the last six months, resulting in a solid performance.

For what projects/services did your company hire Touchlane LLC? We engaged the service of an outsourcing company in order to improve the performance of our mobile app Video Protector that helps to manage webcams from a distance.

What were your goals for this project?

Since Video Protector had some bugs and didn’t function properly we requested the complete app diagnostics to detect the code crashes and fix all issues of the Android version of the app.

The first phase of development was devoted to the iOS app, which took nine months. The next phase involved Android development, which went on for six months. Touchlane implemented several features, including daily job progress tracking to make the process more transparent.
