I’m the general manager of Southcan Electric. We provide residential and commercial electrical contracting services in Winnipeg.

We wanted to increase our online exposure, so we hired them for their SEO services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Top Shelf SEO basically handled everything from the get-go. They managed our website’s SEO, making sure we were being exposed to our target audience. They also work on our social media content on the side, editing photos as needed.

What is the team composition?

I work with three people from the Top Shelf SEO team: the owner, lead creative, and web designer.

I heard about them through word of mouth. I checked their profile and was left impressed by the results from one of their previous projects.

We’ve spent around $20,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in August 2020, and our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with Top Shelf SEO, we’ve been receiving about 15 job requests per month through our website.

How did Top Shelf SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a lot of work to do at the beginning of the project, so there was a lot of back and forth, especially in terms of communication. But they’ve managed everything well, allowing us to focus on other priorities. In a nutshell, we no longer have to worry about things we don’t want to worry about. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What has impressed me the most about Top Shelf SEO is their ability to deliver on their promises.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

They could do a better job on editing our Instagram photos, but that’s just me being nit-picky.

Just have your business set up — they’ve taken care of everything I don’t want to worry about.
