We engaged Thriveship Coaching to provide leadership coaching.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Christine (Leadership Coach) provides me with one-on-one coaching. We have weekly sessions where she helps me how to be a better manager and leader to my team. She has provided me with a lot of feedback, but I can’t think of a specific one.

What is the team composition?

I’m only working with Christine.

How did you come to work with Thriveship Coaching?

I met Christine locally, and I liked her.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2020, and we continue to collaborate with Thriveship Coaching.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thriveship Coaching has helped me feel better about managing my staff, and with their support, I feel like I’m doing a better job. I’d recommend them to anyone who’s running a business and overwhelmed with staffing.

How did Thriveship Coaching perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very organized and timely. We typically communicate with them through Zoom and emails.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing that they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their leadership coaching services are really worth it.

I work for a multidisciplinary design firm. I foster our client relationships and ensure work is secured and executed properly. We ensure a positive ROI by understanding and designing what our clients need and learning how they’re moving forward in their upcoming plans. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Thriveship Consulting?

I was looking for a career coaching consulting company. We had professional growth issues in some of our departments and I needed an external team to help us scale up to the next steps in our growth strategy and lead us through large milestones.

We also had to prioritize projects and take into account the different values, methods, and personalities of our teammates. That all had to be done in addition to continuously providing excellent client service. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Thriveship provides us with career coaching and personal development for the team. Their team initially discussed with me the areas that we could refine and how we could move forward. I then had a six-week session with their team where we looked into the departmental growth issues we were having. 

The Thriveship team showed me some best practices, including brainstorming and empathy exercises, to help our internal teammates feel comfortable with presenting their ideas. Now, they provide me with tools to continue to engage with my team, which include growth-related questions and surveys.

They’ve also helped me learn how to better manage my time to ensure that I am growing professionally while helping our departments do the same. Their team analyzed personal barriers in my leadership style and helped me understand the leadership insecurities on my side.

I specifically requested to work with Christine (Leadership Coach) and she became my main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Thriveship Consulting?

I started by doing research and checking reviews online and ended up posting on a referral website specific to career development and growth strategies. Within two hours, I received a phone call and a follow-up email from Thriveship to schedule a meeting to discuss whether or not their services would fit our company. 

I did look at other companies, but I connected well with Christine in our introductory call and their team responded quickly, so I hired Thriveship. They understood what we were going through and I knew they could help us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $1,600 for six sessions with Thriveship so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in March 2021 and the partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thriveship uses three phases to measure our progress: storming, forming, and norming. Our team has just shifted into the norming phase. 

We were able to refocus on our personal development and shifted how our team works. The internal team that had relatively low leadership engagement has transformed into a team that is more engaged with leadership.

Our internal team is no longer hesitant to bounce ideas off of each other and think of new strategies to approach our work. I’ve received feedback from our internal teammates that they really enjoyed the brainstorming and empathy exercise — they now feel more like they’re a part of a community. 

On a personal level, I am now very confident in my own ideas and leadership. 

How did Thriveship Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

We typically communicate via Zoom. They were always on time for meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Thriveship does more than I ever expected a coaching company to do — including checking body language and gestures on camera since we’ve all moved into a virtual setting. Thriveship really understands the new leadership styles that we are aspiring to. 

It was an incredibly eye-opening experience and I was impressed with how Thriveship helped me remove shortcomings in my leadership style and helped me make the team feel valued by stressing the importance of their experience and how we leverage it to create a better product.  We’ve used some best practices for professional development before, but actually being able to implement them at this level was very refreshing. 

I benefited so much from the experience with Christine, who always goes above and beyond in helping me, that I’m now trying to get her on board with our corporate side. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Considering we are all working virtually, I think the Thriveship team did the best they could do. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise customers to have clear goalposts and know exactly what the desired target is and not just focus on the bottom line. It’s important to trust the process and be open to the changes that will be made.
