Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Chief Product Officer of an educational technology company that brings joyful math experiences to economically distressed neighborhoods.

For what projects/services did your company hire TheLittleLabs?

We needed top-notch UI/UX design for our augmented reality apps. In particular, we needed design talent that understood designing for kids and designing for the AR environment.

How did you select this vendor?

We did a search for freelance designers and design firms, as well as reached out to our network of advisors for advice. The Little Labs was heads above the rest in terms of portfolio, experience and talent.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our going project started with wire framing and creating design elements for our AR app. Working with our development team, The Little Labs created wireframes and designs based on weekly conversations and feedback.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My team worked with their creative director and a project manager directly. They have a flexible team of illustrators and UI/UX designers that they bring on depending on project size.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In testing with kids and families, users of all ages are delighted by the experience and design of the AR apps. Investors and advisors are impressed by the use of technology to further math learning and engagement.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Little Labs team is extraordinarily flexible, and has been a fantastic partner as our company, a startup, pivoted multiple times. In addition to UI/UX work, The Little Labs has supported character design and modeling, animation and illustration efforts. The Little Labs team is accessible and responsive, working through Slack, email, and multiple weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I love the passion The Little Labs puts into their work. They are thoughtful and flexible and all-around great people to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I only wish we could afford to hire them full-time!
