Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the business and product manager for NeoLeap, a financial solutions startup. One of our projects is to develop a new digital wallet.

Users can use this app as an e-wallet where they can make payments and send money to their contacts — it can also be considered a payment enablement tool. Some of its features include making payments through QR code scanning and international money transfers through MoneyGram.

What challenge were you trying to address with TestCrew?

We hired TestCrew for QA testing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TestCrew has been providing us with end-to-end mobile and web QA services, including black box, white box, and API testing.

What is the team composition?

They’ve provided us with about 15–25 people, but my main points of contact are their key account managers.

How did you come to work with TestCrew?

I’m an acting member of ISTQB in Saudi Arabia and have had experience in QA. TestCrew coordinated one of the sessions there, and our company had them draft a proposal.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, the cost is around $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with TestCrew in February 2021, and our partnership is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve already signed off on most of the deliverables, and I’m satisfied with TestCrew’s work.

We’re an established organization, so we did a lot of complex work — and their team is highly focused on our success. We didn’t face any leaks or complications, and they were proactive in getting feedback from us.

How did TestCrew perform from a project management standpoint?

I give them a 7 out of 10 for project management and an 8 out of 10 for their technical team. They always deliver on time and we have an Excel sheet and Jira for managing the timeline of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have anything to mention in particular because they do what I need them to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can improve their services for API and mobile testing. They did well, but there were times when they didn’t consider all the possible bugs in their testing.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

My advice is that they should put down all requirements correctly, be careful about the deliverables, and choose the right communication strategy.
