What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have partnered with TechPulse on several key initiatives, and they have become an essential to our IT operations. Together, we streamlined our onboarding and procurement workflow.

Since May 2025, TechPulse has supported the onboarding of more than 200 new employees and facilitated the smooth transition of 21 properties into or out of our portfolio. In addition to this, TechPulse completed full documentation and on-site surveys for all properties.  We previously had no inventory monitoring system in place. According to a recent company survey, 95% of our employees reported being satisfied with TechPulse’s services.

Throughout our engagement, TechPulse has consistently exceeded the defined scope of work to ensure seamless property transitions and uninterrupted business operations. Their commitment, responsiveness, and expertise have made them a reliable and valued partner.

TechPulse consistently strives for excellence. The team adapts quickly and effectively, even with strict or tight deadlines. As Tyler has said, "they will move mountains to get the job done". I fully support this statement and on multiple occasions, when timelines shift, often not in their favor, they find a way to deliver.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We evaluated and compared several IT providers. While many appeared capable on paper, our experience has shown that advertised capabilities do not always translate into reliable delivery. Our priority was to find a true partner and one who could actively support and manage our IT operations.

We recognize that we are not TechPulse’s only client and that our needs are extensive. TechPulse consistently makes us feel that we are their top priority. They provide attentive, dedicated service to both our team and our clients, reinforcing the value of our partnership.

Are there any areas for improvement or something TechPulse could have done differently?

We have encountered a few minor challenges with the scheduled technicians; however, none have been significant enough to be considered deal breakers. Given that our properties span nine states, these technicians are contracted rather than in-house. It would not be practical or cost-effective for TechPulse to maintain dedicated staff across such a wide geographic area, and the current approach is both reasonable and efficient.

We had a client that wanted to move from VMware to Hyper-V due to the increased Broadcom licesening and unknown future state of the company after the aquisition.  With their licensing experation date quickly approaching, they asked Arctic IT to move quickly on it.  Our internal team of Engineers were already allocated to other projects and were unable to start any new projects immediately.  The TechPulse team was able to rally some resources and provide staff augmentation with white glove service.  Knowledge, Communication and Execution were excellent.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechPulse?

We needed to convert our technology platform entirely, which was based on Rackspace. We previously had an internal teammate who managed our IT needs and asked TechPulse to take over and create a platform that could store our data. Our goal was to bring our internal systems into one new platform. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially had numerous calls with TechPulse so they could understand what we were looking for. The team has converted our technology platform and put our internal processes into one web-based platform using a VMware cloud application versus a server application. All our internal team works remotely, and TechPulse provides remote services, too. 

TechPulse also provides ongoing weekly training regarding cybersecurity and phishing. The team runs phishing test campaigns and tracks potential phishing among our employees. We're currently discussing converting one of our database platforms.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TechPulse has converted our operations to a more secure environment. TechPulse delivers excellent work quality and meets our goals — we find them very helpful. Our project aims to improve risk mitigation and have a more secure environment. Before, we thought we had too much risk since one teammate managed all our IT needs. We have diversified the risks, and TechPulse's team manages those risks. 

How did TechPulse perform from a project management standpoint?
TechPulse meets deadlines and stays on budget. The team works according to our priorities. For instance, we had an issue with a VMware provider that was part of the infrastructure and decided to migrate to a different provider. TechPulse worked on that process over the weekend, and it usually would take months of planning. TechPulse puts all hands on deck to ensure they meet our expectations. We prioritize deliveries, and the team has good project management.

Our company's team consists of 15 teammates who work remotely, so we have unique technology needs. We relied on one person in the past, and now we can call TechPulse's number or send an email to open a ticket. The team always has someone to answer the phone and is good at prioritizing urgent matters. TechPulse also has a teammate on-call for the evenings, and I can get a response after hours. Chris and Tyler have implemented quarterly calls where we go over the testing campaign metrics.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to highlight Tyler and Chris' work. Chris is remarkable and is good at providing quick troubleshooting. On the other hand, Tyler is able to navigate and work at our high-level standards.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

We had previous experience with Rackspace, which is a big company, and we didn't have a representative. Now, we're working with individuals. I like that TechPulse has good employee retention because I've worked with the same teammates for three years. We're a small business that provides boutique services, and we wanted a service provider who provides boutique services as well. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The biggest thing TechPulse can improve is being more proactive. When an employee asks for troubleshooting for a specific issue, the team could check if other teammates might be having the same problem. TechPulse can also provide more operational training on how to use specific software. The team provides resources but doesn't have that service now. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

We've required a long time to complete this transition. I suggest potential customers set their project's timetable when engaging with TechPulse. I also recommend understanding any expenses you might incur regarding your platform — that is something we didn't consider initially. For instance, we had an annual contract with Rackspace and ended up not using most of the year for just a few months. Understanding these financial aspects will be helpful for your engagement.

We needed a managed IT services provider. One of our goals was to improve our data security requirements since we have signed contracts with customers that have strict data protection requirements. We needed a partner that ensured we were compliant with their requirements.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechPulse manages all our company's IT needs remotely. The team has helped us transition to a more secure cloud system and ensured our data is secured and backed up. TechPulse also provides help desk services for our team's questions regarding specific hardware, email, or cloud backups. The team also manages our new employees' onboarding and issues laptops. 

Initially, we onboarded TechPulse to all of our systems, and the team helped us move from the Google suite to Microsoft 365. TechPulse has also handled the migration of existing data. The team has set up the data of our cloud infrastructure, which allows us to make reductions in the different software versions so our employees can collaborate and work on documents in real-time. TechPulse primary focus is online technical support.

TechPulse's work has freed up operations time for our team, especially for me. We can now work on other important aspects of our business rather than focusing on fixing IT issues. I no longer worry about overseeing IT needs and can focus on more strategic initiatives that are important to our business' future  — that's the biggest impact of our engagement with TechPulse. 

TechPulse has also saved downtime across employees because they now have a direct person to go to when they're facing technical issues or need help desk support. 

How did TechPulse perform from a project management standpoint?

TechPulse delivers work on time and stays on budget. We send an email that goes into their ticketing system for help desk support. After that, we send emails back and forth or have phone calls, depending on the issue. We also have quarterly meetings to identify improvement areas and define our work priorities from those meetings.

Tyler is fantastic. He has a great blend of understanding and explaining technical requirements to non-technical persons. He understands the aspects of being a business owner and is fantastic to work with. Tyler is super helpful from an over-arching perspective. He understands how decisions impact our business and provides good suggestions. Tyler is on top of issues whenever I've flagged certain situations and looks at their internal team to resolve the problem. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the piece of mind TechPulse's work brings to me and my company. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We've had the most bumps in the new employees' onboarding process. All our employees work remotely and are located across the country, and we want them to have a good onboarding process. We rely on TechPulse to have an onboarding call with a walkthrough of their laptops and our work tools. 

We've had issues where TechPulse called employees at the wrong time or didn't consider the time zone. These details added to a bad experience on employees' first days, and sometimes, employees weren't online when required.

I recommend having regular meetings with Tyler and Chris to plan and find priorities based on your company's IT needs. Stay in touch with TechPulse and tell them your unique needs.

They also purchase and install hardware, software, and licenses for us which helps tremendously!

TechPulse has been a fantastic team to work with. Their team is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The ticket response time is unmatched, and we know every issue, no matter the size, will be taken of in a timely manner. The 24/7 support that TechPulse provides is extremely helpful and gives us assurance to know if something goes wrong in the middle of the night, we will get alerted, and the issue will be handled.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechPulse provides remote and on-site managed IT services for our company. Initially, we had several meetings with the team to explain what we wanted to accomplish. We discussed the project's technical aspects regarding our phone and cloud-based systems. Prior to engaging with TechPulse, we had issues with our phone systems, and some text messages weren't delivered. TechPulse has recommended different services for our company. 

Our company has unique needs since we do high-end photography, and TechPulse supports all our departments in a different way. The team has upgraded our IT infrastructure, including computers and printers. Additionally, TechPulse provides phishing training and sends monthly reports regarding phishing and IT security. TechPulse offers technical support through a ticketing system.

TechPulse understands our needs and has a great ticketing system. TechPulse has fixed our phone system issues, and we've sent 40,000 text messages from one number since April. 

How did TechPulse perform from a project management standpoint?

Chris has been very helpful and instrumental regarding project management. We work with a cloud-based system and have had many hiccups, but TechPulse has been great and proactive in getting things up and running. 

TechPulse's response time to support tickets is excellent, and they respond faster to urgent tickets. If an issue has low-level priority, I email TechPulse, and I call them if it's a high-level priority. Depending on the tasks, my tickets can be more in-depth, and TechPulse determines if they can resolve the issue via a virtual meeting with screen sharing or if they need remote access to my computer. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Chris has been fantastic, especially at the beginning of our engagement, when he was very supportive. Evan (Senior Support Engineer) has also been very helpful.

What did you find most impressive about them?
Whenever I have an issue, regardless of the problem, TechPulse is very good at correcting and improving from that point forward.

I can't think of anything for TechPulse to improve on. TechPulse is constantly growing as a company, which is beneficial for us.

TechPulse's work exceeds our expectations. We have employees with limited computer knowledge, and TechPulse is very helpful and does everything they can to help them understand and walk them through processes. 

How did TechPulse perform from a project management standpoint?

TechPulse delivers work on time and stays on budget. The team is communicative and direct; if there is a delay or something is going wrong, TechPulse lets us know immediately. We use a ticketing management tool to communicate with TechPulse.

I want to highlight Evan's (Senior Support Engineer) work. He has helped us with several projects, and we've also met him in person. Our staff finds Evan very helpful.

What stands out the most about TechPulse is their ability to resolve issues quickly. The team is fast to respond since I need a vendor that responds in a timely fashion.

I can't think of anything for TechPulse to improve.

I recommend potential clients have good communication with TechPulse and tell them exactly what they want. I also recommend setting up a timeframe; this is the way to have the best relationship with TechPulse.
