BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder and managing director of the IT Services company. I work primarily as a Senior IT Consultant supporting public sector agencies; however, I needed a website built for my company to provide additional IT Staff Aug services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Technical Origami?

My website did not represent the breadth and scope of the services that I offered and I needed a company to redesign the company website to effectively communicate our service offering and to increase traffic.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was referred to this vendor, and ease of communication, availability to support me in a different time zone, and the level of expertise demonstrated by their employees made them the perfect candidate for my job.

After purchasing the template, we had a kick-off meeting. As a certified PMP project manager, one of my requirements was establishing a clear set of deliverables, tasks, resources, and timelines. They agreed to manage the project with me utilizing Smartsheet. The transparency was invaluable to the success of my project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website speaks for itself.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was easy to speak with, and the response time was within hours. I never felt like I was a bother, and they always treated me respectfully. They were clear on costs before completing any changes and provided excellent post-launch training so that I could manage the site after 'go live.'

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was extremely impressed by their knowledge of industry best practices, the skill level that their website developers possessed, and their ability to translate my requirements into a seamless user experience. I appreciated that they were patient, thoughtful, and extremely responsive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are great and would use them again!!!

I own a technology and media company in the USA.

For what projects/services did your company hire Technical Origami, and what were your goals?

My client needed a website redesign for their firearms and archery store. The desire was to increase the focus on the archery sales and other services like classes.

SOLUTION

How did you select Technical Origami and what were the deciding factors?

Nick understood how to separate the e-commerce from the content aspects and build a website that met the clients expectations as well as design goals.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Front-end website design, information architecture, website UI/UX, wire-frame mockups, draft designs and beta site. We focused on the WordPress platform for ease of administration and client update potentials.

How many people from the Technical Origami team worked with you, and what were their positions?

2, I worked with Nick the owner and one other developer/designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The client was super excited about the new look and feel of the site. We measured some traffic before and after. We definitely noticed an uptick in overall site dwell time and an increase in clicks to interior pages.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They ran basic PM with weekly touch points. Most communication was in Slack. Very straightforward and our needs were simple on this more basic project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are easy to work with and have provided ideas that we haven't thought of initially. The design was modern and seemed to capture the demographic we were trying to reach.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think we could have gone further on interior pages. A lot of time and energy went into the header/footer and main home page. I felt the inside pages needed more work. That said, they were not bad, just needed more attention.
