We wanted to develop a system to manage all of our company’s information.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’d already come up with some ideas and requirements before engaging Tec Solutions Network. After sharing our plans with them, their team developed the entire system. It allows all 13 of our team members to interact with different aspects of our company information, like income details and follow-up processes. We’ve completed the first stage of the project, and we’re working on the second.

What is the team composition?

I spoke with the owner at the beginning of the project, but I now primarily speak with our project manager. There are about eight people on the full team, and one of them is a technical specialist.

How did you come to work with Tec Solutions Network?

We reached out to several different vendors. Some of them were very responsive, and others quoted the project too high. Based on our first impression of Tec Solutions Network, we decided to meet with them in person. We shared our needs, they submitted a proposal, and we agreed to their prices.

How much have you invested with them?

The first stage itself was about $5,000. So far, we’ve spent around $20,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2018, and it’s an ongoing project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As soon as we started using the app we experienced positive results. We used to do all of this work manually, so using the new system has made us much more productive. Our client’s wait times have decreased by about 60%.

How did Tec Solutions Network perform from a project management standpoint?

We have monthly meetings to discuss our progress and set goals, but they’re available for quick conversations whenever necessary. If any aspect of our project requires their attention, they address it immediately.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re highly communicative, which we really appreciated.

No, they’re doing great. Overall, it’s been a great experience.

I’m a general manager and own two brands on the sports training sector. One is a chain of electrostimulation and the second one is a training system, managed by software that was developed by Tec Solutions.

We needed software development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our training software. The system is linked centrally—installed in every franchise is a screen that works through a digital print, it has a server and each screen shows the training. The trainer adds the routine, then it is shown on the different screens.

What is the team composition?

I’m in touch with the project manager, but I’m not sure how big his team is. At the beginning of the project, there were around five to six people involved.

How did you come to work with Tec Solutions Networks?

I did some online research and found three interesting companies. Tec Solutions gave the most immediate and most efficient response—they actually came to visit us the same day we contacted them. In that meeting, they immediately understood our concept and what we wanted to do.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent around 500,000 pesos (approximately $13,280 USD).

We started working with them in December 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything was excellent, and we couldn’t have made the software without them. Every aspect of their service and the attention they paid to the final results were wonderful.

We received very personalized attention. Besides the monthly reports and updates during the project, I was always in direct communication with the owners, which was excellent.

They have a great team. They’re all very responsive and visit our offices straight away if anything needs clearing up. They managed the project as if it was their own.

I don’t have any complaints at the moment.

We are a digital marketing firm for small and medium-sized business in Argentina and Peru with 150 clients in total.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tec Solutions?

We are building our internal management system. We have a unique work process and methodology so Tec Solutions is building our internal task management software, for example how an account executive assigns tasks to a designer, a very specific task cycle, client approvals, automatic communications. We are a digital marketing agency and we are oriented towards business processes. This is key for us. Tec Solutions knows how to interpret our business process and translate or apply it to a very specific software solution designed to our business, culture and work methodology.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They used Angular. It is extremely fast as if I’m working on my local computer.

What is the team dynamic?

I believe 2-3 developers participated in this process. They assigned frontend and backend developers and a tester. The partners are working on the business side of things.

How did you come to work with Tec Solutions?

I met the owner in a group of small and mid-sized businesses where we discuss topics in the business sector. I found them to be business saavy. They do what I ask them to do on the technical side but they are also able to understand how my business works and make recommendations.

We’ve invested around $20,000

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working around Jan. 2017 approximately and it is an ongoing collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This helps us measure our internal processes very efficiently. We can figure how much time to invest on tasks. If we're to be using an Excel sheet it would have to be done manually. This saves a considerable amount of time-- probably 5-10% of time savings throughout the firm.

It enhances professionalism and quality of service and deliverables to our clients. It increases the perception of quality. It also allows us to scale. We are 15 people and we started this firm 3 years ago. We are aiming to become a firm of 50 to 100 or 100 to 200 people. Without a system like this one, it would be impossible.

How did Avra perform from a project management standpoint?

Our communication was very frequent. I talk to Victor who is one of the partners and we’re talking one to two times a week. We have a project management tool, I believe it’s Asana, with where they are able to show advancements and where I can add new functional requirements to be added to the solution. We have a mix of many other tools like Whatsapp, email, phone, meetings, etc.

What did you find most impressive about Tec Solutions?

They are knowledgeable about business, not only the technical side. This business or commercial mindset and their communications were some of the most important things to highlight about them. They’re able to walk in our shoes. At a technological level, they’re also looking at the latest technologies and maintain systems updated. These two things generate a lot of trust in their company.

Are there any areas Tec Solutions could improve?

I would not be able to say anything negative about them. I wish we could have a longer term relationship but I’m not sure how this will turn out

We hired Tec Solutions for developments in which the technological requirements exceeded our expertise. We were more focused on design, frontend while they had more experience with backend.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve done several projects together, including one for Fox - Latin America. We developed a trivia generator for Fox Sports and their online users. The application had the flexibility of adapting trivias to what Fox’s clients were trying to sell and allowed for Fox to sell sponsorships to these clients also. It was a collaborative and cumulative type of work because all of the questions that were inputted into the system were entered with a tag that generated a stock of trivia questions that could be used continuously.

What is the team dynamic?

Two developers were assigned to this specific project. One of them was replaced by another as the project advanced. This didn’t affect the development. They used PHP, but they also handle other languages. The frontend was done using HTML, CSS, Javascript and the entire backend was developed using PHP, and MySQL database.

This collaboration has been going on for 4 years. It started in 2013 approximately.

The project mentioned has been less than $10,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Metrics were analyzed by the end client, under their specifications. The client was very satisfied overall. Their satisfaction was high because we delivered an entirely user-friendly tool that they could manage without depending on third parties and putting it at the service of their commercial interests.                          

How did Tec Solutions Network perform from a project management standpoint?

We always had an excellent level of collaboration with them. We have selected them as partners repeatedly and we have actually spaced out some of the projects. The fact that we work with them is because we have our own resources too. Whenever we outsource with them, we’ve always had complete satisfaction with their project management. It’s always been very good. They have a good disposition, even when schedules are infrequent, when it comes to adverse situations or if there are any changes that are different from what the client planned in the beginning.

What did you find most impressive about Tec Solutions Network?

They have a high-level of commitment towards the projects. We had online conferences and in-person meetings with them, and they always participated throughout the project as a part of our team, which is something that we always try to ensure. We become one same team when we work together and they have always been very proactive and have added value to the proposals. When the client presents a situation or a problem, we generally brainstorm some solutions together. They have always been an active player in the ideation of these solutions and not only the developers of an idea developed by others.  

Are there any areas Tec Solutions Network could improve?

In a very competitive market, we would’ve liked some more flexibility in terms of costs or pricing. Not necessarily in the working relationship but on the economic aspect of it the collaboration.

My organization is Comlogik Argentina, a firm that is focused on distribution of telecommunications, biometrics, and we are starting to ride the Internet of Things wave, searching for opportunities in the local market and developing our own solution.

I am the president and I also manage new products as part of my job. My organization is simple, we have a commercial department with two employees, a technical support department with an engineering specialist in telecommunications and a logistics department with one more employee. We’re a small organization and we cover the Conosur region and also local products here in Argentina.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tec Solutions Network?

Basically, as with any other IoT platform, we have data acquisition terminals and a frontend or a server that sometimes is proprietary and sometimes is a third party which collects all the information. You can visualize the clients and every user’s data and make use of the data to measure and decide which actions to take.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed the devices or the hardware and firmware, determined applications and a front end, which was very simple because this is not our specialty. This is where TSN came in and we asked them to develop a professional front end which featured statistics, metrics, indicators in real time, user management in an organized and clean way which we hadn’t contemplated previously. They have delivered all of this.

They have used technologies such as MySQL database and Apache for the servers. They are using a tool for the graphics’ presentation in real time. Everything is based on Windows.

We’re in a final testing day trying to detect batches and correcting them to finally send it all to production as well.

What is the team dynamic?

I interact with Carlos [CEO, Tec Solutions Network]. He is the project lead because he took all the specifications to start the development and my understanding is that the team has at least two more developers.

How did you come to work with Tec Solutions Network?

It has been a short relationship so far. After I met Carlos, we started working in May this year. We plan on continuing it because the response has been really good.

We’ve been working since May 2017 and it is an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have been very responsible and they managed everything very well. I could tell they had experience in project management. They focused on what I thought was the most important part: the platform’s presentation design and look. They showed they could solve anything that we asked for. 

The commercial launch of this product will take place in the following weeks. There are some details that need to be corrected. They gave us the right impressions and the results were very good. It is a very professional product or solution. It is easy to use, manage.  I can visualize all the data, which is what I wanted. Users are business people that will want to learn more about the real time data of their teams that are working on the field. Results have been really good overall. However, the product’s commercial success will depend on us.

How did Tec Solutions Network perform from a project management standpoint?

They used a web-based project management tool. Both parties were able to input results and preliminary tests and suggestions for improvement, incorporate new features based on the original contract’s context that we were aiming for and the original target of what was going to be delivered. This had a control dashboard with all development and delivery dates. I could tell they were very organized in terms of their project management.

What did you find most impressive about Tec Solutions Network?

They are able to understand what I needed as a client specifically. Quickly they are able to adapt to your work style and the product that had been previously developed. In this sense, they were able to listen very well and work in an organized and detailed way. It seems to me they are technically solid.

They always made me feel calm, even if the project seemed complex. They delivered a good design. They were able to deliver what they promised and everything turned out to work well in the first beta. Their work was solid.

Are there any areas Tec Solutions Network could improve?

There were some areas for improvement in the delivery times, which is understandable. There were some aspects that needed changes for different reasons. This happens in most of the projects and deliverables. They sometimes take longer than expected.

We needed to develop a solution with a frontend that communicated with the backend of our system. We hired them to accelerate the process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tec Solutions provided us with the system and the code, and our team continued to develop the system. Initially, we talked with them, and they suggested the best technologies for us. We gave them documentation about what we wanted to do, and they conducted many interviews to understand the functions we needed and how to connect the frontend and backend systems. The team used PHP and Java.

The system they developed took all the data from the loan application and sent it to the backend. We had a decision system for loans, and the system they developed answered whether the users got the loan or not. If they got the loan, they received the papers they had to sign.

We were in contact with Victor, their CEO, an analyst, and a programmer.

I knew Victor from university. We also chose them because they had worked with other companies, and we knew they worked well. We also compared them with other companies and decided to work with them because their price and solution made us more comfortable than the others.

Previously, we had another system with a remote desktop. We changed to a web platform, which increased our work.

The developers delivered on time. We talked with them for five months, and they delivered all the functions we talked about. They also gave us more than what was in the contract.

We used Trello to manage the project. We also communicated via email, phone calls, or face-to-face meetings once a month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by how they got involved to give us the best solution and tried to understand what we needed. Sometimes, it’s difficult to talk to other providers and have them understand what you need.

No, the work was good.
