I’m the senior marketing manager of VMware, a multi-cloud services company.

We needed help with social media activation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TEAM LEWIS has been helping us with digital strategy for media activation, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok, and WhatsApp, among other paid social activities.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with five members of their team, including Rex (VP), Courtney (Head of Paid Media), and Hannah (Digital Marketing Manager).

How did you come to work with TEAM LEWIS?

They were already working with us when I took my current position, so it was natural to hire them for this project because they’re one of our preferred vendors.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent $500,000–$1 million with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their agency fees are 25% lower than other providers, which is one of the biggest values they bring to the table because we spend less on media fees enabling us to invest more in media activation. In addition, they’re agile with their turnaround times — it takes them 24–48 hours to take care of our requests, which helps us massively.

How did TEAM LEWIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay within budget. Regarding communication, we use email, weekly performance review calls, and constant reports with additional recommendations to optimize our campaigns.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their agility is outstanding, and that distinguishes them from other providers. Moreover, they have a uniquely collaborative culture; it’s a pleasure to work with them because they go above and beyond, and we feel like we’re friends and colleagues thanks to their personable approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could scale their digital marketing engine beyond their channels to improve and offer more of that holistic digital media channel activation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be thorough with detail and briefs; one of their best attributes is their ability to take information and build a robust plan around that by asking questions and creating strategies. The more detailed you are with the brief, the better their media plans and recommendations will be.
