TapForce built an iOS and Android app for Parsnip and iterated with us on new product features, launching a new version every 2-3 weeks and developing the app from an initial beta version to a full-fledged educational tool. Parsnip reached 4.9⭐ on iOS and Google Play, hit over 35,000 organic downloads, and was featured by Apple in the Food & Drink section.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

TapForce delivered an initial version of our app within a month of starting with them. While working with TapForce, we developed a comfortable and efficient workflow that allowed us to ship a new version of the app every 2-3 weeks, on both iOS and Android platforms. Ultimately, our app reached 4.9⭐ on the App Store with amazing user reviews, and was featured by Apple, which is a testament to the quality of Tapforce's work and their attention to detail.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The best way I can describe TapForce is that they're always over-delivering. While we originally engaged them for an iOS app, they built a feature parity Android version as a bonus. Sometimes members of our team would post a Jira ticket late in the evening, and it would be shipped when we awoke the next morning. Aside from our regularly scheduled meetings, their team is also very responsive on Slack. I'd hire TapForce again for any project knowing that they'd come in ahead of schedule and under budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

TapForce is the only outsourced development agency I've met that we've been able to treat like an in-house team (many other agencies are just trying to make a buck). They also have a strong culture that puts people first and as a result they work really well together, and jive really well with clients that prioritize good relationships. Above all, we just really, really enjoyed the process of working with them, even more so than the end result. What TapForce delivers even more than software is peace of mind and the ability to see around corners, and those are things you can't buy.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tapforce could have done differently?

TapForce is a team that does very well at trying to understand your vision and then building it with minimal extraneous communication or back and forth. For people that are clear communicators and good at delegating, this process is amazing. For others, you may benefit from making sure your directions are clearly understood, and having the team ask more questions to make sure you're on the same page.

We enjoyed working with Tapforce because of their ability to adapt to early-stage and fast-moving startups. The team was extremely responsive (we used slack and regular syncs) and we really appreciated their ability to iterate quickly on designs, translate ideas and concepts into concrete visuals and then code.

Unlike some consulting firm that will charge by the hour, the Tapforce team will commit to delivering value. When needed, they will work extra hours to meet deadlines on time and we were impressed by their work rigor.
