BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner, editor, and publisher of Point Guard Eyes, a provider of unique basketball player evaluations, as well as a scout/analyst for Cerebro Sports.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Sunrise Coding, and what were your goals?

I needed help upgrading my site to facilitate memberships, logins, subscriptions, payment processing, dynamic pages, an admin dashboard, and more.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This vendor contacted me via Wix when I solicited the project via the Wix Marketplace.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We discussed project specifications and went back and forth several times to make sure all of the specifications were clear and possible. Everything was done via Wix, through which he was granted a specific role to collaborate on my site. From there, the vendor stated that it would take 2 days complete all of the project deliverables, which were: creating dynamic pages to support player profile lists and search criteria/filters, individual player profile pages, customized sign-up pages, pricing plans, payment processing, an admin dashboard, copy of the source code, videos explaining implementation and how to operate the site using the new features and tools, etc.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with one person: Cody. He is the owner of Sunrise Coding.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Sunrise Coding, specifically Cody Teagardin, claimed he would complete my project specifications in a matter of 2 days. It is going on 5 months and the project is still not complete. Not only has the initial project gone incomplete, but an additional project, which he claimed could be done together with the initial project, was not even started, and he refuses to return payment. Throughout the course of our communication, Sunrise/Cody consistently set and failed to meet his own timetables/deadlines.

Then, when they weren't met, there was no communication. I was forced to continuously follow up to inquire about the status, why the work was not completed, etc., etc. There were never any explanations, only progressive stalling and new self-given timelines that were never satisfied.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The vendor's project management style, communication tools, and timeliness were all nonexistent. I was the only one who seemed to communicate, constantly requesting status updates, explanations, etc. To this day, I still don't know what happened.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Sunrise/Cody Teagarding provided reasonable pricing and a great turnaround time. Neither were real.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sunris/Cody Teagardin could simply fulfill the terms of our agreement, and complete the projects that were agreed upon and paid for!
