Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We hired StudioPartner to design and build a website for one of our clients.
An industry body for workers’ compensation insurers. The tricky part was the audience. Members, employers and injured workers all use the site and each of them is looking for something different.

What they delivered:

• The full design and build of the site, in React
• Charts of the public return-to-work data for each group of insurers. Visitors can change the reporting period.
• A table that ranks insurers by their results.
• A glossary that explains claims and benefits terms in plain language. It has search and topic filters, and every term links to the official source.
• A tools page for the digital injury claim form and a public education campaign
• Pages for the association’s policy work, reports and hearings

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The site was delivered in about six weeks, on time and on budget. It went live and everything in the scope was finished at launch, including the data charts, the insurer results table, the glossary and the tools page.

The site launched with interactive charts, a glossary of more than 60 terms and a full document library.

The end client approved the site. All client contact stayed with the agency.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Yes, on time. The project took about six weeks and I never had to chase them. I dealt with one person the whole way through. We mostly talked on slack and I usually got a reply within a few hours.

They put the work on a staging link as they went, so I could check it and show our client before it went live.

When we or our client wanted something changed, they did it in a day or two. Small changes were never a problem.

What was your primary form of communication with StudioPartner?

• Virtual Meeting
• Email or Messaging App

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I didn’t have to manage them. I gave the brief, they asked the right questions at the start, and after that the work just arrived when they said it would. With other developers I usually spend half my time following up.

Are there any areas for improvement or something StudioPartner could have done differently?

Most of the communication was in writing. That was fine for me, but more calls would have made it easier to explain things to our client.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire StudioPartner to accomplish?

• We wanted the site and its CMS in one place. It runs on Astro on Cloudflare Workers with Sanity, and the editing Studio lives at /studio on the same domain. Pages are rendered on request, so when the client hits Publish, the change is live a few seconds later.
• The owners aren’t developers, and they didn’t want to email us every time a photo changed. So every heading, paragraph and image is a field in Sanity, and the tabs are numbered in the same order as the page, top to bottom.
• It’s a photo-heavy site and it had to load quickly on phones. Sanity’s CDN crops each image to the slot it sits in, around a focal point the editor drags. The hero image is preloaded with its own crop for phones, and the fonts are self-hosted.
• The business was moving to a new domain and didn’t want to start from zero in search. We pointed the old site’s best pages at new ones with 301 redirects. Structured data on every page type, canonical links and the sitemap were all in place on launch day.
• Wedding, corporate and Academy enquiries need different details, so the contact form asks one question first and branches from there. We also didn’t want an enquiry to vanish if email delivery ever failed.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We hired the team to develop a website from scratch, and they delivered exactly what we had envisioned. They provided valuable guidance on choosing the right CMS and hosting solution, ensuring the website would be fast, efficient, and easy for us to manage through the backend. What we particularly appreciated was their ongoing support. The team remained available and continued assisting us long after the project had been completed and delivered.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

PageSpeed Insights on the home page gives 94 for performance on desktop and 86 on mobile. Accessibility is 96, and Best Practices and SEO are both 100. The largest element paints in 0.8 s on desktop and 3.3 s on mobile.

Edits published in Sanity show up on the live site within seconds, with no rebuild to wait for. Code changes go out on their own too, because every push to GitHub builds and deploys to Cloudflare through GitHub Actions.

Each page type carries its own JSON-LD (Organization, Person, Service, FAQPage, BlogPosting, Review, BreadcrumbList). Canonical links, the sitemap and robots.txt are generated from one site URL setting, and the Studio is kept out of search.

If the form can’t send an email, it doesn’t pretend it did. The visitor sees a message with the address to write to instead. A hidden honeypot field catches spam bots.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The team was always available, responsive, and quick to assist us. We particularly appreciated their flexibility in accommodating Italian working hours, which made communication and collaboration much easier.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was their ability to combine excellent design with a strong understanding of SEO. They proactively identified and implemented important SEO improvements that we hadn't even thought to request but that were essential for our website.
Even though some of these tasks went beyond the original scope of the project, they took the initiative to handle them without us having to ask. Their commitment and attention to detail genuinely exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond what we had initially agreed upon.

Are there any areas for improvement or something StudioPartner could have done differently?

This is more of a suggestion than a criticism. During the initial sales process, it might have been helpful to see examples of websites they had previously developed. However, the team came highly recommended by someone we trusted, so this wasn't particularly relevant in our case.
