Between February and June 2025, we used Stape’s server-side GTM hosting to move our Google Ads, Facebook, and GA4 events off the browser and into a secure server environment. This boosted our tracking accuracy, helped us recover up to 22% more conversions, and made our site a bit faster. With clearer ROAS data, we could allocate our marketing budget more effectively.

Stape even went beyond my expectations, at one point, we had an unexpected issue with a third-party integration late on a Friday night, and their team jumped in right away to troubleshoot. They had it resolved within a couple of hours, which kept our campaign launch on track.

Our agency has been looking for a way to improve data quality for our clients. We are mostly focused on Google Ads, Meta, and Google Analytics 4 setups. A lot of clients faced problems with data quality (it wasn't complete, affected by ad blockers, and browser restrictions).
Using Stape's services has allowed us to increase the volume of data recorded (the significant increase could be noticed in Meta Ads reports - up to 80% more data compared to Meta Pixel-only setup, as well as in Stape Analytics feature - thanks to server-side tracking, our clients have managed to track and re-integrate 56% more requests)

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We could measure the performance of server-side tracking by using various tools such as:

• Google Ads reports. Simultaneously, we run GAds campaigns using different configurations (with- and without- server-side tracking). The reports have shown a 46% difference in data (in favor of server tracking).
• Meta Ads reports. Meta reports have shown up to 80% more data recorded compared to a Meta Pixel-only setup.
• Stape Analytics feature. Stape also provides a free feature in its admin where we could monitor the total performance of server-side configuration. We have noticed a 56% increase in the number of requests tracked.

We have successfully deployed a complete server-side tracking infrastructure for the client company using Stape's hosting and Meta CAPI Gateway. Our primary goal was to mitigate data loss from ad blockers and browser privacy features, thereby improving the accuracy of the client company's marketing attribution. The scope of our work included setting up the client company's ​Google Tag Manager server container, configured with a custom domain. We then re-routed the company's primary website data stream to this new server endpoint and configured server-to-server connections for key marketing platforms. We performed end-to-end validation to ensure data flows correctly from the client company's users, through the GTM server container, and to its final destinations, providing the business with a more resilient and reliable data foundation.

The key deliverables for the client company include:

•   A fully managed and deployed server container hosted on Stape.

•   A configured Google Tag Manager server container acting as the control panel.

•   A validated server-to-server integration with the Meta Conversions API (CAPI).

•   A validated server-to-server integration for Google Ads conversion tracking.

•   A first-party data collection system that improves data accuracy and website performance.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

•   ​We increased attributed conversions by 15-25%.​ This provided a much more accurate ROAS by capturing sales and leads in Meta that were previously being blocked.
•   ​The Meta Event Match Quality score improved from 4.5 to 8.0.​ This enhancement directly improved their ad campaign performance and helped lower the cost per conversion.
•   ​The website's Google PageSpeed score increased by 20 points.​ We achieved this by shifting tracking scripts from the user's browser to the server, which created a significantly faster experience for their visitors.
•   ​Their remarketing audiences grew by 10-20%.​ Because of Stape's server-side setup and a custom domain, we more accurately recognized returning visitors. This resulted in larger, more qualified audiences for their retargeting campaigns.

Honestly, it's difficult to find any fault in their process. The project was managed so smoothly and the results were so clear that there isn't anything I would have asked them to do differently.

If I had to pinpoint something, it would be that the project's success made us wish we had engaged them on an even broader scope from the very beginning. Once we saw the impact of their work, we immediately started identifying other areas where their expertise could help.

So, it's less of an improvement for them and more of a lesson for us: we should have brought them in sooner to help build a more comprehensive, long-term data strategy from the start. In terms of their execution, it was flawless.
