SprintX developed an AI platform for a financial services company. The scope included the client and advisor interfaces, email integration, and the administrative tools needed to manage the system.
SprintX successfully launched the platform, which is now live and operating well. The team was very organized, consistent, and easy to work with. They took the time to understand the client's business and were very good at adapting to changes.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing partner and financial advisor of Core Wealth Consultants LLC. We offer personalized financial roadmaps and guidance, including access to a CFP® Hotline, to help users organize finances, manage risk, and make informed financial decisions.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with SprintX?
We wanted to build something that was more than just another AI tool. The goal was to connect AI with the relationship between a client and their financial advisor so the technology could help start and support conversations rather than replace the advisor.
Because we work in financial services, the project also had significant compliance, privacy, and security requirements. SprintX had to help us build the AI functionality while also incorporating the controls and guardrails necessary for our business.
It was a fairly complex project with a lot of moving pieces and unknowns when we started. SprintX worked with us to take the concept and turn it into a functioning platform that brought the AI, advisor interaction, compliance, and privacy pieces together.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
SprintX handled the project from the initial concept through development and launch. The scope included building the AI platform, the client and advisor interfaces, secure login and user management, advisor involvement and communication features, email integration, and the administrative tools needed to manage the system.}
A major part of the work was also building the compliance, privacy, and security guardrails required for a financial services environment. This included controls around how the AI responds, disclosures and terms acceptance, and separating educational information from personalized financial advice.
The main deliverable was a fully functioning PlanAssist Chat platform that combines AI with direct advisor involvement rather than simply creating a standalone chatbot.
SprintX was responsible for both design and technical development, although we came to them with a significant amount of work already completed. Before hiring SprintX, we had gone through a traditional Figma design process and had even hired another developer to build an initial MVP.
We came to SprintX with a fairly developed concept, designs, and some technical work already in place. However, as we moved through the roughly four-month development process, the project became considerably more complex than the original MVP. There were a lot of design and technical decisions that had to be made along the way.SprintX worked with us through those decisions, helped refine the design, and handled the technical development needed to turn the original concept into the finished platform.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 2–5 teammates from SprintX.
How did you come to work with SprintX?
We found them through an online search and Fiverr. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, and it was a big project for us with a lot of unknowns. When I talked to them early on, they were very responsive, straightforward, and honest.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January–July 2026.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We broke the overall project into four major milestones, each with a clear objective and deliverable. The first was really about proving that what we wanted to build was possible. From there, we progressively added the functionality, advisor involvement, compliance controls, and client-facing experience. That milestone approach gave us measurable progress throughout the roughly four-month development process rather than waiting until the end to see whether everything worked. The biggest measurable outcome is that we successfully launched the platform, and it is now live and operating well. We have moved from development into the next phase, which is client adoption and learning how clients actually use the platform. For a project that started as a fairly ambitious idea with a lot of unknowns, getting it all the way through development and into a functioning, client-ready product was a significant accomplishment. I'm very proud of what we built and excited about where we can take it from here.We are still in the early stages of client adoption, so we don’t yet have meaningful usage metrics that I would consider representative. A small number of clients have begun using the platform, and we are now focused on gathering feedback, learning how they use it, and gradually introducing it to more clients. We knew from the beginning that adoption of a new AI-based tool, particularly in financial services, would take time. Our first priority was getting the platform built correctly, professionally, and with the appropriate compliance, privacy, security, and advisor oversight in place. That part has been accomplished. The platform is live and working well. We expect the next 9–12 months to be primarily about client education, adoption, feedback, and continued refinement. The early feedback has been encouraging, although it is still primarily qualitative and based on a relatively small number of users. The clients who have used the platform have responded positively and seem to enjoy the experience. Most importantly, we have not received any significant negative feedback so far. Clients have been able to use the tool as intended, explore financial questions, and then have the opportunity to continue the conversation with their advisor. It is still too early to draw broad conclusions, but the initial feedback suggests that the core concept, combining AI with the an advisor relationship, is working the way we envisioned.
How did SprintX perform from a project management standpoint?
Once we established the working rhythm, SprintX was very organized, consistent, and easy to work with. They were reliable with timelines, and we developed a good cadence between what their team was responsible for and what they needed from our team. The first 30 days probably required the most adjustment. This was a large and important project for us, we were working with a new team, and there were a lot of decisions to make about communication, responsibilities, timelines, and expectations. There was naturally some anxiety on our side while we figured out how everyone would work together.Once that cadence was established, the process worked extremely well. SprintX consistently met expectations and timelines, and the communication became very efficient. With a project and team of this size, I think that initial period of establishing the working relationship is important, and they did a very good job of getting us through it and into a productive rhythm. We communicated through virtual meetings and emails or messaging apps.
What did you find most impressive or unique about them?
What impressed me most was the knowledge and involvement of SprintX’s relationship manager and project manager. They took the time to understand not only what we were trying to build but also the environment in which we operate.Financial services is highly regulated, and that became increasingly important as the project developed. My original aspirations for the platform were broader, but as we worked through our compliance review, there were areas where we had to add guardrails, modify functionality, or change our approach.SprintX was very good at adapting to those changes. Rather than simply building to the original specifications, they worked with us to understand the compliance feedback, think through alternatives, and find practical ways to accomplish our objectives within those constraints. That combination of technical knowledge, flexibility, and understanding of what we were trying to accomplish was probably what impressed me most.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there is anything significant I would say SprintX should have done differently. This was a large project that evolved over six to eight months, and with something of this scope, there are naturally going to be ups and downs. We ran into some significant hurdles along the way, particularly as the technical requirements and compliance requirements became more complex. There were certainly moments when I wondered whether we were going to be able to accomplish everything we were trying to do.What I appreciated was that their team stayed engaged, remained positive, and continued working through the problems with us. They didn’t disappear when something became difficult. We worked through the challenges together, and ultimately we launched a platform that I’m very proud of.Looking back at the entire project and where we ended up, I’m very happy with how SprintX handled it.
