Spencer Morley Consulting (SMC) is a Canadian AI consulting and strategic communications firm helping organizations cut through the noise and put AI to work — practically, compliantly, and without the hype.
We serve two audiences: small and rural Canadian municipalities navigating AI policy, staff training, and compliance obligations under ATIA and POPA; and Alberta small businesses and nonprofits ready to assess their AI blind spots and build real capability.
Our work spans AI readiness assessments, policy development, staff training, private LLM deployment, and agentic workflow design. On the communications side, we bring crisis communications planning and media relations expertise — because AI adoption without a communications strategy is its own kind of risk.
SMC is co-led by Jordan Morley (AI Practice Lead) and Cheryl Spencer-Morley (Communications Practice Lead), combining technical fluency with strategic communications depth. We don't sell software.
